I just bought an XL t-shirt Grab Bag! I can't wait to see what I get. By the way, the same guideline for the Bag-of-Crap should apply for these grab bags. Make sure you post pictures once you get the t-shirts.

The "Preview" Thread
R.C. replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Here are some shots from a RCT3 park I started. It's nothing special. It's my first time working with custom scenery in RCT3. I'm just trying to learn how to use all of the new scenery. The entry plaza. A work in progress. The un-named wooden coaster. The station. I like "open air"stations. -
From the pictures they've been posting, I'm pretty sure Sky Screamer is going where the tram maintenance area is now. I'm pretty sure you'll have to go under the MCBR and corckscrew of Medusa to get to where Sky Screamer will be. See: http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=38.139497,-122.232401&spn=0.001175,0.001733&z=19 And: http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150126910197743&set=a.67563722742.94642.59636827742 And This: http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150090994801137&set=a.113754331136.92346.61485546136

I read through all of the pages yesterday. This park is simply amazing! The story line makes a lot of sense, some of it was predictable, but other things I didn't see coming at all. I love all of the thought that has been put into this park. Great job so far CD5! I can't wait to see what happens next. This is the kind of thread that makes me wish I had a computer that would run RCT3 smoothly. I have to have most of the graphic settings running at minimum just to let me move around a good sized park... One day I'll be able to play it.

It looks like a smaller and very compact version of Apocalypse. It looks like it would be very fast like Apocalypse is! -
Corkscrew Adventures [RCT2]

I like Calamity Express! I also really like the entrance area. It's simple, yet has a lot of little details. Great job so far! -
What is the best floorless?
R.C. replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on Medusa (SFDK) over a hundred times. I've only been on Scream! 4 or 5 times. This makes it hard to compare the two, especially when they are both "parking lot" coasters. If I had to rank the two, I'd probably put Medusa above Scream! -
I'm planning to drive to Buena Park Saturday night. I'm staying at the Motel 6 about a mile and a half away from Knott's, because it's fairly easy to get to from I-5 and is pretty cheap right now. It will only take about an hour, because there shouldn't be much traffic that late... I would sleep in my car, but I know I'll want to take a shower Sunday morning.

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
R.C. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I also got a Bag of Crap today. This one has been a long time coming (from last spring...). Unlike the last few posts, I'm posting pictures now! All of the park maps I received. I didn't have any of these yet. A Kenywood postcard, some temporary tattoos from Six Flags, TPR mints, TPR pen, and a Mickey's NSSHP sticker. A preview book about working at Disney, and the scariest thing, an unmarked DVD. The DVD is Coaster Expedition: Volume 7! Thanks TPR! -
I decided to take some of my photos of Flight Deck from the backstage tour at California's Great America and make them desktop backgrounds. I wanted to share the first ones with everyone. These are 1280 x 800 because that's what I needed for my desktop. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p13/RCMTHEii/Bay%20Area%20Bash%202010/FDBackground1.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p13/RCMTHEii/Bay%20Area%20Bash%202010/FDBackground2.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p13/RCMTHEii/Bay%20Area%20Bash%202010/FDBackground3.jpg Enjoy! Feel free to use them if you want to.

Wow! Bay Area Bash was so awesome! It was really nice to take it easy on Saturday and not have to run from ride to ride to make sure I got on all of them. Usually the park is very busy on Saturdays, but with ERT I didn't have to wait in very long lines, plus the lines weren't that bad through out the day anyways (Good job Six Flags!). Thanks to Captain Lee Munro, Charles, Paul, and all of the other Discovery Kingdom employees for making Saturday such a fun day! Even though Sunday seemed to have a smaller crowd, it was an equally great day. ERT in the morning was so awesome. I got so much done in just one hour. I don't even know how many times I rode on Flight Deck without getting off. After getting a couple of rides on Psycho Mouse and Demon right after the park opened I waited for Grizzly to open. I ended up riding with a bunch of TPR people. It was awesome. Thanks to Ryan and the other employees at CGA who allowed us to take the backstage tour. That was an amazing experience. I've always wanted to walk down the center service road! After experiencing Bay Area Bash, I really want to go on a longer TPR trip, so it's time to start saving money. I'm really hoping Bay Area Bash happens again next year! It's really the only event that happens here in Northern California. I had a great time at my first TPR event!

I'm so excited for the backstage tour! I've never been on one and I've always wanted to walk down the "Center Service Road!" I've got a couple of tips for people attending both days of Bay Area Bash. At SFDK the rides in the back of the park (the animal area) don't open until 11:30 or so. The only rides that open at 10:30 are the rides on the front side of the hill. You don't want to waste time walking all the way back to Boomerang just to find out it isn't open yet... SFDK, like all other Six Flags parks, has the $1 l ockers. Backpacks are not recommended, because you will be forced to use the l ockers. CGA has cubbyholes for backpacks and other personal belongings at all of the rides, so backpacks work really well there. Just don't leave anything really valuable in there, unfortunately you can't trust everyone... Both parks allow un-opened water bottles into the park. As long as the seal on the cap isn't broken you can bring them in. I wear cargo shorts that allow me to carry the water bottle in one of the pockets so I don't have to use the l ockers at SFDK and I can refill it at the water fountains through out the day. Bring sunscreen. SFDK has a good amount of shade around the park. All of the stations for the roller coasters are covered and a good part of most of the lines have some sort of shade, but sunscreen is still recommended. I don't have too much of a problem with sunburns at SFDK. At CGA, the only roller coaster that has a covered station is Grizzly. Demon has a covered queue line, but the station is open. You spend a lot of time waiting in line in the sun, so be sure to put on sunscreen several times during the day. I've gotten sun-burnt every time I've gone to CGA. Hopefully these tips help someone... lol.

^I'm pretty sure that is only for CGA since it is right under the other information for CGA. Although it would be nice if it was for both parks. If the discount is really good I would actually consider doing the skycoaster. I've never done it, because it always seemed like a waste of money (especially the one at SFDK...).
