  1. I just registered for Bay Area Bash! It's going to be so much fun to hang out with all of the TPR people at my home park (SFDK) and at CGA! It was too bad I couldn't make it last year, but this year will be even better.
  2. Awesome! I'm glad to hear this. I live in the Sacramento area (2 hours from SFDK) and I was hoping to be able to attend the SFDK part of Bay Area Bash and not attend the CGA part without paying for the CGA part. I also won't have to worry about finding a place to stay for that night. I have church on Sunday morning and I would rather not miss that, but I am really excited to got to my first TPR event, which is at my home park!
  3. Wow. Everything looks so good! I love the custom Johnny Rocket's sign. Superman looks awesome too. I want to see the whole layout. I'm really looking forward to when you release this park!
  4. I'm typing this from the Best Western across the freeway from SFMM. My friends and I are planning to get to the park around 9:30 and then we're going to rush right for Terminator so that we can hopefully get in line before it gets too long. We're planning to wait as long as we have to in order to get on Terminator at least once today. Hopefully Terminator will take some of the lines away from Tatsu and X2, we didn't get on Tatsu yesterday...
  5. I love the log flume. That whole area looks so awesome! I think the "Dip N' Dots guy's uncle's sister's son" is 100% right. Doesn't everyone believe the Dip N' Dots guy. The rest of the screens look good. Looking forward to more.
  6. Kong actually looks really good (for a SLC). It looks like they have most of the ride painted. I'm glad SFDK finally did something about how bad Kong looked, but I was hoping they were going to scrap it and replace it...
  7. Nice pictures, Sam. Hershey Park looks like a lot of fun. Stormrunner looks pretty awesome and I definitely want to ride it in the future. I definitely don't think you included enough pictures of Fahrenheit. It's a new coaster, you're required that 98% of all the pictures you post have something to do with the new coaster. Epic Fail! I'm looking forward to more.
  8. The wooden coaster look awesome, Sam! I'm looking forward to seeing their entire layouts, but that can wait. I want to see more of the park. Keep up the great work.
  9. I'm loving this so far! Great job on everything, Sam! If the park continues to be as good as it is now, it will be amazing. Cedar Fair bashing is O.K. with me, but stay away from Six Flags... Looking forward to more.
  10. Great update, Sam. I've been looking forward to seeing your pictures from Busch Gardens! It's another one of those parks that I really want to go to.
  11. The site looks really good. I've already found a typo though. This quote is from the description for the first picture for Roar at SFDK: "Roar's structure sits beautifully in the Southern California park" For those who don't know, SFDK is near San Fransisco, which isn't in Southern California.
  12. It's too bad that SFA was as disappointing as it turned out to be... I find it interesting that most of SFA's coasters have DC comics themes. I wouldn;t mind going to SFA sometime just to see how bad a "bad Six Flags" park is like... Great pictures by the way! I'm looking forward to your Busch Gardens pictures!
  13. Yeah. It does look really similar to SFDK's entrance... Although SFDK's is nicer because it has more trees. It's too bad it rained on you guys, but at least you had the pre-trip day there to get on most of the coasters!
  14. Dragon Coaster looks interesting. Was there any themeing in the tunnel or was it just dark? Was there an obvious reason you had to be under 6ft on the wild mouse? It's weird that some people were able to ride and some weren't...
  15. O.K. That is your problem then. I don't use the SOB trainer, so I don;t know how to set the back either. There should be someone on here who can explain it to you.
  16. Did you use any trainers on this park? If you did that could be part of the problem. Make sure all of your clearances are set to be normal and not zero. If it's not a trainer issue, I really don't have any other ideas...
  17. ^Wow... Three posts in a row. lol. (If you're only seeing one post, trust me. The other two were there!) Crystal Wings looks amazing for a B&M clone. Just in pictures alone the themeing makes a huge difference. I'm looking forward to the pictures and possible video!
  18. More great photos, Sam! SFNE is one of the parks that I really want to go to. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos from the "surprise park" they should be interesting...
  19. Yeah, I had the same thing happen to me on Medusa, except I was already sitting in the back row once the dispute started. The guy sitting next to me would leave his Army hat on the ground. He wanted to put the seat belt through the back of his hat. The crew politely asked him to leave it and they explained to him that he could not have it on the coaster. He was willing to leave it in the operator's booth, but they explained that he couldn't do that either. After about five minutes of arguing, he got ticked off and left the station. Thankfully I was sitting down and not stuck waiting at the air gates. It's the new loose articles policy. It helps speed up load/unload times, but it hurts them once these kinds of things happen...
  20. Those look like they would be a lot of fun. It wonder why they thought the other slides would be better?
  21. TPR Takeover! It's funny that they wouldn't let you guys on until the ERT was happening. How was Boulder Dash? I'm sure it was awesome, but what was your opinion on it?
  22. Great pictures Sam. It seems like you've been able to capture the whole experience pretty well so far (at least I think you have...). Quassy seemed like another good little park on the trip. There seemed to be a lot to do. Didn't J's Amusements here in Northern California have a mad mouse like the one at Quassy? I'm pretty sure it did.
  23. These are awesome! Thanks so much for posting them. I've been somewhat disappointed with the themes of the stock RCT3 flat rides. There are so many possibilities for custom flat rides!
  24. It's cool that you enjoyed Cyclone. It looks like it could be fun. You know you "whored" that kiddie coaster too.... They have the exact same dark ride (Dante's Inferno) at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. I didn't ride it, but it looked kind of cool. I'm looking forward to seeing how SFNE was for you!
  25. odie, I'm so glad that you had a great time at the two northern California parks. It's pretty awesome that your family made the trip down south. You have some really great photos from both parks. I'm interested in your opinion, which park was better CGA or SFDK? It's awesome that you were able to get on some new types of rides. We have a pretty diverse collection of roller coasters here in Nor. Cal.
