Theme parks and coasters in the snow

Screamscape is reporting that the Disneyworld resorts are going to start charging resort guests for parking. If this is true, I'm not too thrilled about it. We are already paying top dollar to stay on property. One of the factors for us staying on property, is the money we save in parking fees(as we usually go for a week to 10 days at a time). I believe it's something like $22-$25 a day to park...that adds up quick. What are your thoughts on this?

Is that the location between the waffle house and skyline chili? If so, it's average. The room was clean, but no elevator and the breakfast wasn't much more than cereal and toast. I find that if you book a room at a hotel about 20 min from the park, you get better rates and better rooms. We have been staying at the red roof inn a few miles from the park. Nice clean rooms, good rates, and a decent breakfast. -

That super 8 was the nastiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Roaches, stained carpet, stained bed sheets, hair on bed and in the tub, water leak, dirty toilet, run down conditions, and extremely rude staff. I'll try and find the pictures if I still have them, if not they may be in this thread a few years back. Found them here..... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=70330 -
Freedomland USA. This was a large park in New York that only lasted a few seasons. The park had several large attractions, and was designed to compete with Disney. Cedarpoints dark rides( pirat ride and earthquake) both came from this park. More about it here... https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/the-rise-and-suspiciously-rapid-fall-of-freedomland-u-s-a

By chance, did the park have a scrambler ride? Alabama splash adventure just acquired a scrambler, and found this while cleaning out the ride tubs durring a repaint. -

Nice report! We had the opportunity to visit this park last summer, and were blown away. Probably the best run park in the six flags chain. -

A friend actually sent me a picture of this. It's not his picture, so I'm not sure who to credit for the pictire. -

I'm still waiting for a gourmet Mac n Cheese bowl place... From that same article though, they're changing their marketing slogan to "A place like no other." Definitely an interesting choice. I much prefer the "America's Rockin' Roller Coast. They do have a Mack and cheese place. It's right under the north skyride station(near coasters dinner). Here is a review of it... http://cpfoodblog.com/review-cedar-point-sky-ride-refreshments-pulled-pork-mac-and-cheese/ -

Still a lot in my opinion. I can spend a full day at Disney, with fastlane included(enough to ride all the big rides) . That's the same price basically. Besides that, even the fastlane lines are going to be an hour or so for opening weekend. If your gonna splurge, I would wait till all the bugs are worked out. It would suck to spend that money, just to have steel vengeance down most of the day. -
