I agree, they were totally reaching with the story. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how the guy cut his leg on the gate. there's no sharp edges on those Gates -

So the story on the injuries aired, and it was nothing but propaganda as expected. You can watch it here... https://www.wxyz.com/news/local-news/investigations/broken-bones-and-other-injuries-often-go-unreported-at-cedar-point They base this report off of 1 injury that happened 3 years ago, and 5 incidents of the result of tripping or falling. Nothing ride related. They are wanting a database of all the injuries from amusement parks so it's easier to sue them. -

Wow.... Just watched the teaser for the amusement park accident story that is airing tonight. Talk about reaching for a story. The only "accident" they can mention from cedarpoint, is from last summer when someone got there leg cought in the safety gate on raptors platform. The whole report comes on tonight, but they also mention kings island. It seems like every summer, some news station gets a bonor for amusement parks and airs some kind of propaganda story. -

Looks like wxyz(ABC) channel 7 out of Detroit, is having a story tonight about cedarpoint and amusement parks hiding accidents. It's going to air after the NBA playoff game tonight. -
Some of the line is outdoors, some is inside. The line was not bad when we were there, so it was mostly indoor waiting for us. I can see the outdoor line being brutal on a hot day. It gets very hot here durring the day. This is the only park I have been to that has air conditioning in an outdoor line besides Disney. Outdoor section Imdoor Air conditioning in an outdoor line.

Here is a shot I took of the new Texas giants brake run last summer. It's quite a bit longer than steel vengeance. -

The new train looks like it's going to fly away. -
Yes...you both can use the skip the line passes. Just tell them that there are 2 of you in your group. To be clear, it does not get her into the park, just gets her on your fastlane. You do get deeply discounted tickets for guests, and priority parking as well. The parking has to be reserved online 24 hours before your visit. As far as shows, it did mention something about that bit I did not look into it as we never go to the concerts at the park.

With all the new coasters opening up since the last rcitr, is there a chance we could see a new disk soon? We have the entire set up till now, and would love to add another.

How exactly does this feature work? Are they paper tickets, or via the app, or they scan your physical membership card? You show your card at the location that sells fastlane to get scanned, and they give you a paper for each fastlane. You have to tell them what attractions you want to use them on, and they write that attraction and number of people in your party on the paper. It looks like a paper receipt.

I did notice the scanner at the entrance of steel vengeance. But they had 2 employees working the entrance, and fast lane is not an option right now. Took this shot durring one of my 3 rides... -
The one big difference that I had noticed between the diamond membership, and the elite diamond membership is that you get 2 skip the line passes per visit with the elite. And your whole party can go on each line skip pass. Plus you get 50% off almost anything with the elite. So both me and my wife have the elite memberships. By both of us having them, it allows us to get a total of 4 skip the line passes each park we visit. No need for the extra cost of fastlane. So this saves us a ton. Not to mention the 50% off of food and merch.

Grsupercitys quest for coaster credits

I totally agree about the merchandise. Every park we visit, we like to get a fridge magnet and shot glass. The only options were superhero items. I guess I could have been ok with it had the superhero items had the park name on it as well, but no luck there. We have Been to this park a few times, and agree 100% with your great report. The only part I differ with you is about screeching eagle. That ride was amazing. I would have given it at least an 8/10. By the way, did you get to ride Excalibur? This ride is nuts...and rare. -
I agree with most of what you are saying, however.... They "may have" had the proper manuals and training, but just did not have the paperwork in the proper location. I believe it was mentioned that the proper signage was not at the slide, but the signs were in the office? Either way it's sloppy on the parks behalf. The point that I was trying to make was that the park "may have" had the proper paperwork and training, but just did not have it where it was satisfactory to to inspector. Just like the example I used for our fire certificate. In our report, they said we did not have the proper fire certification, even though we did. It just was not in the location that the inspector wanted it. We fixed that, and had him return the next day and he passed us.
