  1. I don't really see anybody freaking out. All I see is a few people ragging on Intamin.
  2. I wonder if they are going to start from the ground up, or if they are going to use the half built buildings? The reason I ask, is because those buildings have been sitting over there for years open to the elements. This is a great move on Disneys part. This will fill a nitch.
  3. It's funny how the weather has been in the 70's and 80's for the most part this spring, but when the parks start to open, winter comes back.
  4. I hope I get the chance to make it to holiday world this summer
  5. Well.... Thinking that weather a ride is safe or not in the back of your head is not quite the same as saying that they will never step onto another intimin coaster. I know when I ride a ride that uses cables, I can't help but remember what has happened on xlerator, and dragster. But I still ride them because they are fun, and the odds of something like that happening are slim to none. But you still have the thought in your head none the less. I agree about pointbuzz. Some of those people on there could never grasp the idea that cedar point could ever do anything wrong.
  6. Where did you read that? Can't seem to find that quote.
  7. Well.... Look back at maverick, Dragster, wicked twister, and now this. All of them have opened late. What do they all have in common? I don't see anybody saying "OMG...OMG...SHOOT THE RAPIDS IS NOT OPENING ON TIME...OMG!!!" So again, I don't think people are freaking out over this. I just see people pointing out that the intimin coasters at the park have all had some kind of problem opening on time. The only ones to blame are intimin. They had a very mild winter this year, so I doubt the weather held them up much if any this year. I don't think people are pointing at cedar point. They are pointing at intimin. All valid points. The coaster collection at cedar point is great, but I do agree that they could use something "different". Like a 4D or a dive coaster. Something that no one else in the area does not have.
  8. Those sound like valid points to me. Again, not freaking out...... just pointing out.
  9. I don't think people are freaking out, I just think that you are seeing the backlash of yet another intimin problem. Sure I am a little bummed about the ride not being open on time, but it would probaly be too cold this weekend to ride it anyways. Bummed...yes Freaking out....no
  10. 5 Days before opening, and no height requirement yet. Someones on the ball this year.
  11. I also found a kinzel sighting at knotts a few years ago. Look closely at the picture in the center of the swing ride. Sorry about the quality of this picture, it is a scan because I can't find the disk right now. A picture of kinzel.
  12. A few come to mind.... 1. Son of beast 2.wildcat at lake compounce 3.The villain(geauga lake) 4.Preditor at Darien lake 5.Psyclone at magic mountain.
  13. The best I have been on is splash mountain and knotts flume ride. The worst I have been on would be the log flume that was at geauga lake, or one of those portable log flumes they have set up at state fairs and carnivals.
  14. The beast has a great tunnel, and I also like the demons tunnel at six flags. Gotta love the lights and sound effects. The phenix at knobles and wildcat at michigans adventure get the runner up status.
  15. They never did mention why the park closed. Any idea why it closed? Looked like a nice park, I wish I was able to visit.
  16. I was turned away from the trabant at sfne, because I was too tall.
  17. I am trying to get all of my dorney park pictures together to post. Should have them up in the next few days.
  18. I have the c.h.i.p.s season 1 box set(I know...I know...), and they went to magic mountain for lunch in one of the episodes.
  19. They don't even have a height requirement for this ride yet. Why is it taking so long? Usually the height requirement is posted before they even break ground.
  20. Awsome looking park. Looks like they packed a lot of attractions in there.
  21. Lol... I am sure they do, but none the less it's weird looking.
  22. I was thinking the same thing about those bolts. Is there anywhere for the up stops to go? I assume that there are bolts under the top ones, so called me baffled as to how the wheels are going to clear the bolts.
