Conneaut Lake Park Reopening.

Its held up real well. We have a group of Volunteers who are taking care of it along with George Clancy. Greg Sutterlin had it evaluated by an expert and came out with it costing only around $100,000 to get it going again after fixing some sections of track and Minor Work on the car and break system. The Tumble Bug is in good shape we had it covered during Volunteer Weeken and the Little Dipper is good to go. Finding out about the sale of the dept was my worst memory for 2008.

I have a few as well. As some are not Coaster related they are park related. Arriving a day early for A C E Day in Ney York at Darien and hearing all week Motocoaster was going to be down and it was open the night before and we ended up breaking it again (irony) Talking my way across the Boarder with no Photo Id on the way to Canada's Wonderland. Theme Park Review's B-Roll shoot on the Ravine Flyer 2 (thanks again Robb) It was so much fun. The time I was scaring people at Ghost Lake and someone literly kidnapped me in their car. And when I walked the Tracks of the Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake and had to hang upside down on it to hang up a banner. Also being on the first two train rides at Conneaut Lake Park on Halloween. (thanks Greg and Park Restoration) Looking forward to an even better 2009.

I can honestly say I am worried. I don't know what will happen or what the board can to do to protect from something happening. We all just need to give the board and park restoration our support and show that person who bought it that we care about what happens to the park. I am not ready to let the park go. Everyone has worked so hard. As we were on another lift hill on this roller coaster it seems he hit a drop once again.

I am not saying its the worst park but just one of th eunsatisfactory parks I have been to would have to be Cedar Point. Just because of the two visits I had.

Hope more parks start holding more celebrations for New Years. I know Conneaut Lake Park is holding one tommorow night.

For Mike I suggest a ride that goes all around the park and call it mikes road show. or a kiddie coaster. or the Big Mikes Hotel. Or something to do with ducks.

Sorry I had to dig up this topic. I sent a message concerning Twisted Twins coming back this summer and This is what they sent me. I got that in about 12 hours from when I sent it and it is great they are being honest about it(something Cedar Fair is lacking). While I am disappointed since I will be in the area next year for Diamondback and all. I will still visit SFKK and again when the twisted twins do reopen.
