Lagoon Discussion Thread
Canobie Coaster replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I used a car during my one trip there simply because I needed to store my luggage somewhere. It is probably 20 minutes from the airport if I remember correctly, so an Uber wouldn't be too costly. Wicked and Cannibal both have single rider lines that can save you a lot of time. I think the biggest thing with Lagoon is whether or not you only care about the coasters. I thought I would have enough time to leave in the middle of the day to ride the nearby mountain coasters, but I absolutely needed a whole day there to do all the non-coasters and get rerides on everything. -

^ Thanks! I was curious since SFNE kept disassembled and reassembled their wave swinger at least twice over the past year. -

Great reports! I visited Cosmoworld on my own a few days later and am thankful they were operating the Dive Coaster in a very light rain. The spinning mouse was a no go though. I also agree the regular drop side is better. I felt like I was in the minority for thinking that after riding Blue Fall. I feel like the fake out would have been a whole lot better if I hadn't known about it. -
If you want to ride Goliath, ride it as soon as you see it operating since it will likely break down and/or have a slow moving line. Outside of that, I usually find the two worst waits are for Harley Quinn and the New England SkyScreamer. For coasters, Pandemonium gets the longest queue but it has an unmarked single rider line up the Flash Pass ramp.

Lake Compounce Discussion Thread
Canobie Coaster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The four worst lines in the park are Boulder Dash, Wildcat, Ghost Hunt, and the flume. Boulder Dash usually peaks at 20-30 minutes on a weekend (a full queue is 45 minutes). Wildcat and Saw Mill Plunge are typically a half hour minimum due to their capacity. There are two approaches. Option 1 is to go straight to Boulder Dash at opening. Since the park allows rerides, you should be able to stay on for several rides without getting off. However, Boulder Dash is far and away a front row ride and I guarantee you will have to switch to a different row after your first ride. Option 2 is to hit Wildcat, Ghost Hunt, and Saw Mill Plunge first before they get lines. You can grab a ride on Boulder Dash on the way too. While you probably will have to queue for each ride on Boulder Dash later in the day, you can get the front row more. As for how Boulder Dash is running, it's definitely an aggressive ride. In a wheel seat, it can be pretty shaky on the wrong day. In the front, it's fairly smooth. That setting combined with the speed and laterals makes it special to me. If the park is open after the sun sets, make sure you ride it at night. It's one of the best night rides in the world. For food in the park, I like the Potato Patch fries and Pink's. They're expensive, but good. If you'd rather eat outside the park, Kizl's is quite good. You probably will pass it when you get off the highway. If you've never been, you will also be 20 minutes from Quassy. Wooden Warrior is a great, little ride. -

^ I have no doubt it's coming back. I just found it curious the ride was taken apart in the middle of the summer season since I thought the rehab was over the winter. -

If it's constellation themed, it's fitting to announce it at night. -

Yeah, they actually know how to transfer logs onto a ride. Coaster trains are an entirely different story. -

^ I think they already got some since Lake Compounce was running more than 3 logs for the first time in a while earlier this year. -

I agree Ravine Flyer II is remarkably smooth for how aggressive that layout is. -

On most woodies, it's recommended to avoid wheel seats. I have ridden Ravine Flyer II in a wheel seat and recall it still being pretty smooth. -
^ Usually I'd say to look at QueueTimes, but I don't trust the data there. As of June, the park was listing the Bobsled as closed everyday by default. When I just checked, it looks like they've gone to the other extreme since the Bobsled has been listed with 100% uptime over the past week. I know that's impossible since the ride has to close everyday at 6 pm. I can say it was running on a beautiful sunny day at the end of June from personal experience.

Great report! It brings back memories of my lone visit to DisneyQuest. I definitely disagree on Mighty Ducks. I found it way too chaotic to know what I was even doing.
