Should B&M ever make a launch coaster
Miltonmx replied to madmagic200's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe this could be the latest option. At Alton Towers, none of the B&M coasters uses a Launch system. Also Rita is the only launched coaster, and is manufactured by Intamin. -
Maybe I understand the "end of its service life". The track is more like the used on the Schwarzkopf coasters. The sum of the coaster type + Age + steel oxidation + stress on the track, gives as a result a short life period of the coaster. I don´t know if its expensive a replacement of a track segment, but surely it is. Now The Big Bad Wolf is under construcction on the coaster heaven!! I hope that Nessy stands for many more years with us.

SERIOUS COMMENTS: Nice Giga Coaster!! Simply spectacular the lift + drop supported on 2 structures!! Changing directions so manny times at high speed, mixed with airtimes, is a thrilling formula! NOT SO SERIOUS COMMENTS: The ride looks great, and I guess that is designed specially to make impossible illegal cellphone POV recordings. lol Please, dont let Favio (The same of BG Europe) ride this coaster... he wont survive a goose hit on this one! Sorry, Im eating "Clown Flakes" -
Are the yellow tracks, replacement for scream? I guess that this thread will change into a poll: What is the color of the next mistrious B&M track? - Green - Blue - Purple - Pink Lol... Sorry I´ve drinked too much coffe.

What Do You Think Of Morgan
Miltonmx replied to coasterfreaksrttd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Here I can say something about the latest Morgan coaster, "Superman El Ultimo Escape" at Six Flags Mexico. This is my home park, and I´ve ridden Superman more than a thousand times. The layout is unique because it fits to the terrain and has a very good pre-lift section that gives some good airtimes and a high speed courve. The max. height is 67 meters, and at the bottom of the first drop, the train turns about 30 degrees to the right, and the rest of the trak is more like other Morgan coasters (Helixes, mid brake, and cammelbacks). This midbrake usually does not reduces speed of the train, only when 3 trains are on operation. Superman is the #1 coaster of most of the park vissitors and Mexican coaster enthusiast. I could include some POV of the coaster, but no POV on YouTube is legal, so I wont until I found or record one with the park permission. -
Hi! I´ve been trying to found some POV Videos of the Sky Coaster, but it seems that the only one on the web is the one at Selva Magica, Mexico. Could someone help me to find some other POV video of the Sky Coaster?

This notice really breaks my heart. I´ve been trying to make a good trip to BGW since I was 10, but for several reasons I couldn't. I became a coaster fan with a Video released in the early 90´s called "Roller Coaster Thrills" By Kodak. On this video, the most spectacular coasters were "The Vortex @ Kings Island", "XLR8 @ Houston" (RIP), "Loch Ness Monster @ BGW", and "Big Bad Wolf @ BGW". Those years, the historians claimed that with those Arrow Coasters, the american people lived in the 2nd golden era of roller coasters. From my heart, I think that this is not only a loss of a roller coaster, but is a loss of history, the loss of a piece of art that inspired the newer coasters creations, the loss of millions of personal histories, and the loss of an atracction that brings happiness, joy, and emotions. I want to share the Arrow Promotional Video of the BBW that was released in the early 90´s. Thanks for reading... I will now go to a corner of my room and stay a few hours on fetal position...lol

Well. I guess Sky Coasters are too much fun! The past month I ride the Sky Coaster At Selva Mágica, Guadalajara, Mexico. I ask for permission to take a POV video and here is a mix of a log flume ride, and the sky coaster. I used a Go Pro Camera, with a special chest harness that gives a very good view! I hope you enjoy this POV video of the Sky Coaster! Milton

Influenza Epidemic, affects parks and fairs.
Miltonmx replied to Miltonmx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Please. Don´t panic about this disease. The worst thing you can do is panic at this moment. Here are the tips that the media and goverment is giving to the people: - Avoid crowded places - Wash your hands every hour. - Don´t touch your face if you haven´t washed your hands. - Avoid waving hands - Avoid hugs - Use Clinical Mask if you need to be in crowded places. Today, the goverment announces new dispositions: - All shools in the country are closed. - All gyms are closed. - Restaurants can´t give service on site, only food packaged for eating at home. - Some public transport will be closed for some specific hours. Also, the people at the city is going out for panic shopping. The most required products are: - Face masks - Alcohol-based gel hand disinfectant - Purified Water - Canned food Right now the city is calmed, and the recommendation is "Just be cautious", Don´t be indifferent, and don´t panic. I hope you find this useful to be cautious. I´ll keep you informed. -

Yes, you´re right! The latest news claims that this Flu is moving to other countires, and severe acctions are in progress to avoid more propagation. At google News, you can se more than 30,000 articles of this Virus: http://news.google.com/news?um=1&ned=us&cf=all&ncl=1338523499 Actually, Here in Mexico city, are oficially closed: - Shools (At al scholarity levels) - Day cares - Entretainment buisness (Cinemas, Theaters, Parks, Stadiums) - Big Malls - Convention centers - Public areas of big mass concentration. Actually all the people on street are using face mask for safety reassons. I hope this can be controlled soon and we can return to normal life. -
A new kind of Influenza epidemic disease, is hitting Mexico City and all the parks and fairs are closing until the emergency is over. This Virus passes through humans on dark and enclosed sites, and also on short distances. That’s why the government closed thousands of activities where big masses of people are concentrated, like sports and stadiums events, concerts, cinemas, theaters, public places, and massive events. The parks and fairs were no exception: Six Flags Mexico attendances dropped the past weekend. The park opened with dark and enclosed rides out of operation. The park is evaluating the situation to determine if the park will open next weeks. La Feria de Chapultepec only opened Saturday, and Sunday didn’t opened. Other small parks and water parks in the city, announced that they will remain closed until the emergency is over. On other states, the parks are announcing that they will close this week until is safer to have hundreds of visitors on their installations. Also, the most important fairs of all the country, “Feria de San Marcos” at Aguascalientes, home of “Tsunami” (Zonga), have to cancel all the activities until next year. No one knows when this will finish, but it’s a fact that the national tourism, the amusement industry and all the entertainment business, are loosing thousands of millions dollars, caused by this Virus.

WOW!! Looking at those pictures, it would be nice a pair of dueling coasters with those colors! I found another match for the red track "MCJ09" Mexico City June 2009, or Mexico City July 2009 A mayor ride was planned for Six Flags Mexico Before SFNE decided to send the Dark Knight Coaster to this park. Maybe the first B&M will finally arrive to Mexican lands, and is part of the mayor celebration of the 50 years of the park chain that will start on 2010. This is another possibility.

Everyday Objects
Miltonmx replied to rawrtotheargh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hmmmm.... Coasters??? Maybe this objects make me think of coasters: Here are some Examples! -
Well. Maybe the theory that the coasters have been repainted could be true. But There´s also another theory: SBL doesn´t paint their coasters on plant, ant they do it on site. Here is the comparison: Loop - Double Corkscrew coaster: BEFORE: AFTER: Kiddie Mouse: BEFORE: AFTER: Crazy Worm: BEFORE: (Left side coaster) AFTER: Pirate Ship: Before: AFTER: So, Maybe this coasters are really New. What do You Think?
