I went last Thursday for Hospitality Preview and really enjoyed the park. I thought it would be a few hours and then back to Orlando. I ended up spending all day there, and after I left, I thought about getting a season pass! Really well laid out and they totally cleaned up every building and path from the old park. And the water racers ride is a total blast! I will be back!

I was able to go to HHN on both Friday and Saturday nights. While I still need to do the Saws and Steam and HR Bloodengutz houses, the other 6 I did walk through were all great. I really get into extensive set design, and the 6 I saw were all great. I also saw Bill and Ted on Saturday night. Now, I have seen this show probably 10 different times over the years, and I can understand the challenge in trying to keep it fresh every year. Yes, the set was great this year. The pre-show video was very funny. But then the show started. Honestly, it just was not funny. After hearing the cast say sh*t or b*tch for the 20th time, I just didn't see the humor at all. I think the problem is who they are trying to appeal to. Is it the rabid fan boys who love ANYTHING comic book related? If so, they did a Sucker Punch parody. (A movie I didn't see.) And Green Hornet (another film I didn't see.) Is it the average tourist in town for a holiday? They did a Twilight/True Blood parody. Is it the person seeking political humor? They had Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, and George W Bush. Where was Bridesmaids? Pirates of the Caribbean? Transformers? Planet of the Apes? There were so many other memorable characters and movies they could have chosen. But the real problem was the villian. I THINK It was a made up character, a green martian of sorts that reminded me of The Great Gazoo from the Flintsones. But I wasn't sure. It just made no sense. And then the show ends with Charlie Sheen. He WAS in the news a few months ago, and I understand the show has to be written and rehearsed months before HHN opens. But it just seemed dated. But the real problem for me is the show was just not funny. Just my opinion! Was this the villian? Maybe?

The "GP" of Theme Parks Facebook Thread!
pianojohn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
From the WDW Update page on Facebook: Which of these are you most looking forward to? Hmmm....there is bakery in the UK called Fanticy. http://www.fanticy.co.uk/ Disney's favorite birds return to the Magic Kingdom. Sooo...you will probably hate that they changed it back....I think. Hard to decipher! What's your favorite mode of Disney transportation? Hmmm..which hotels would that be? Because I cannot think of one hotel that has horse and buggy rides. (I think he thinks Fort Wilderness Campground is a hotel. Welcome to Flori-duh!!) -
I seriously doubt this since: 1) The Ohio ride was made by Vekoma 2) The Wing Rider probably had not been invented yet 3) It's the same name but a totally different coaster. Oh...and please capitalize I whenever using it in a sentence. And Ohio. And It's. And "tho" is spelled though. Bad grammar will get you banned from this board.

Hey gang! I am heading to Austin next weekend to play a gig, and I plan on hitting some parks in San Antonio on Sunday and Monday. My game plan is Schlitterbahn Sunday from opening til about 3pm then off to Sea World from about 5-close. Monday I plan to tackle Six Flags Fiesta Texas. I have already purchased my Schlitterbahn and Six Flags tix at a discount (Thanks Club TPR!) and my platinum pass will get me into Sea World for free. Any suggestions on what I should hit and in what order? Since I have never been to any of these parks, I don't want to waste time wandering around trying to find coaster entrances. Also, what coasters (mostly at SFFT) tend to have the longest lines? I will be going on a Monday, so I'm hoping lighter crowds than a weekend day. Sea World I am basically stopping at for the coaster credits. If it's anything like Sea World here in Orlando, the coasters are never that crowded. Thanks!

Orlando should have its own fair

Great Rome pics! I was there in April and was blown away by all of the architecture and culture everywhere!

Great pics! My only pet peeve is with CP. Notice all of the empty seats? A single rider line for their major coasters (Millenium, Top Thrill, Maverick) would definitely help with capacity and wait times. Every empty seat means the line is that much longer for everyone else waiting. Just a thought.

I'm sure I've posted here already but here are some updates! I just finished music directing and playing Larry in [title of show] at the 2011 Orlando International Fringe Festival. And we won 5 Audience Choice Awards!! I'm off to NYC Friday and already have tickets to see The Book of Mormon, Spiderman: Turn off the Dark, and Now.Hear.This which is the newest show by the group that brought you [title of show]. I will be music directing The Fantastiks at Seminole College in the fall. This will be my 4th time doing this show! And for those really interested in what I do in my spare time, I have written and produced two musicals: Halloween:The Musical http://www.facebook.com/pages/Halloween-The-Musical/141760568944 And Theme Park Diva: The Musical http://www.facebook.com/pages/Theme-Park-Diva-The-Musical/218583551485752 I'm hoping to produce Theme Park Diva next May at the 2012 Orlando Fringe. I wrote it in 1997 so it will be the 15th anniversary production!!
