  1. Saw Flight on Thursday. Loved it. Not the most amazing performance from Denzel Washington, but damn it was the story amazing. Without giving any spoilers I'd have to say that I'd highly reccomend it, It starts off thrilling, the suspense never lets up, and the character development (If you're as into that kinda thing as I am) is amazing. Great movie from wire to wire.
  2. Honestly, I think that if Knotts puts in a large scale attraction, they'd take their time to do it right. Lets just say hypothetically if its a hyper/Giga, more time would be required to file for permits, survey larger sections of land and impact. I don't know what the park has planned for next year if they have anything planned at all. But let me go on record by saying it wouldn't be a shock at all if we see some thing BIG in 2014...
  3. I still don't like how UNsteep Silver Bullet's first drop is. The rest of the layout IMO is really good...but the first drop? I've seen Wheelchair ramps steeper than that.
  4. Outside of Camp Snoopy, The general rule is 46" as a height requirement (BFR, LR, CRR, CMR, STC) So I'm guessing we'll see a mirror of Sidewinder in that it'll be 42" with a adult, 48" to ride alone. That's what their current Mack runs at. Wow, Just thought of that. Not another B&M or Intamin but Knott's buys two Macks in 5 years... Niether of which were Blue Fire-esque
  5. This just dawned on me. The name "surf runner" sounds better than the opposed "Coast Rider". Just saying.
  6. Hmm... I hope Orange isn't the final color. Unless Knott's wants to pioneer color coordinating their family rides
  7. I don't know...the festival in WeHo might be too juicy for people to pass up for Knotts
  8. I've operated both Tatsu and Riddlers with three trains and as far as both go, you STILL need a crew of dedicated ops to justify the third train. I've been in rotation at Riddlers with three trains and only pulled 800 pph, and ive been in rotation and gotten over a grand with two. Same goes for Tatsu. You need a crew that actually cares about their job. I personally know Tatsu can run three trains with a full queue and that wait is only 30 minutes, but that ride hasn't had operators who can run it that way since 2007
  9. ^sounds fun but IIRC Black Friday does tend to be a busier day for amusement parks. Good luck
  10. Lets also not forget that she makes several mentions of what customers "pay" for, but also makes mention of owning a scion since 2005 and going to SCION night every year. So one, she's gotten in free every year. Two, calling someone the F word is unacceptable, and off the record after being called that to only have said she was fat seems minute and mundane. Some people...
  11. ^Ghostrider really could use 3 trains for Haunt/Toys-for-tots...but two's better than one, I guess
  12. ^I'd have to agree that if you look at the park's coaster lineup, it's about even in the sense that you have three family/tween coasters (Jaguar!, Sierra Sidewinder, Pony Express) juxtaposed by four thrilling coasters (MR, GR, XC, BLT) so it's not like there's a huge shift either way if you add one or the other. My observation however is that the additions were not well staggered. I mean Ghostrider, Perilous Plunge, Xcelerator and Silver Bullet were all added in a six year period, and those are just coasters. Keep in mind Supreme Scream and Riptide also were birthed in that timespan (1998-2004). One could just make the arguement Cedar Fair wanted to hit the ground running with their newly accquired property. However With the expedited expansion of the thrill end of the park, I don't think it unreasonable for another family ride to pop up even after the back-to-back additions of SSW and PX. Would I LIKE to see that? No. I want an airtime hyper just like everyone else. I just wouldn't be too shocked if a wild mouse or nothing at all popped up. I purposely omitted Boomerang cause it sucks. Twice.
  13. Honestly I think the best place to get a legal picture of KOD is the balcony ramp of the Boardwalk Theater. And even then all it shows is the loading dock
  14. ^Yes but the problem with that is there are SO many rumors floating around that keep coming in before the last one has a chance to settle that gives the impression that maybe Screamscape is just takig shots in the dark. I mean it's not like the park is givig teasers that one can piece together. Whatever is in store for next year, the park is being pretty tightlipped about it ad I still wouldn't expect anything about it unitl November.
  15. Break You Off-The Roots
  16. I also went yesterday and one thing I can't COMPLETELY blame the park for is the lowered capacity on a lot of rides. I'm thankful for the fact they opened it up out of the blue, but Goliath, Rev, and Riddlers were all running with one train, ad Tatsu...you know what, I'm not even gonna mention Tatsu and capacity in the same sentence anymore. All in all....pretty good day. Just seemed there were a bit more people than lowered capacity can accommodate.
  17. I saw End Of Watch on Sunday. Didn't know what to expect, but very well done and candid. The way it was shot makes it very believable and the ending blows your mind.. I recommend it!
  18. Lamborghini Angels-Lupe Fiasco
  19. Just got an email from the park for SP holders...parks gonna be opem from 1030-600 on Wednesday. I'm gonna see if I ca make it up there
  20. I picked up a shift at Riptide on Monday and apparently a season pass holder recognized me. As soon as I went to the turnstile to group she yelled me "Hey! You're ot supposed to be here! You're supposed to be at Silver Bullet!" I thought to myself....bit disturbing whe guests start to remember you
  21. I'm surprised no shameless plugs were thrown in as around the same time entertainment was doing maze dress rehearsals...
  22. ^Just because no one has posted anything here doesn't mean we don't know anything
  23. If you're going on a Thursday you MIGHT want to get a front of line, if you plan on doing both rides and mazes, ad plan on seeing the shows, the I think you'd have to. Even if it's not "crowded, it'll be easier to plan the rides/mazes around the showtimes if you can do the former at your leisure.
  24. "So What" Field Mob/Ciara
  25. ^You can always try the Descartes method to find out definitively.....
