American Eagle could go with a Bizarro makeover....purple supports...highly flamable old wood would seem scary w/ fire effects....ooh and fog machins on the bottom of each hill!

Somehow, people say American Eagle is the first Intamin ride. So I will go twith that + I am saying that V2 is a relocatable coaster. The holding spike at Gueaga Lake wasn't working until they relocated it to Dorney. Then they fixed up the ride. Just like what they did with Deja 'Vu. American Eagle was rumored to go but glad it hasn't. It also probably doesn't go backwards to save money...

^Yes....and V2 is an old launch coaster. Launch coasters do not last as long as regular lift coasters. It will probably get moved to a new park just like Possessed at Dorney. American Eagle is still my favorite roller coaster in the park. Use to be V2 at begining of this season, but long lines and no holding brake really turned my point on it. Although I sat in front, and every seat you can name on the ride, it is 2nd now. I love Intamins!

^I totally notice that...they use the queue now as if it were Fright Fest. I just wish they also fix that holding brake. Has anyone noticed on American Eagle that it has been getting longer lines too? I don't think it is from slow ride ops...because the lines goes all the way back to dare devil dive.

^I actually think if there is a line for the ride...people would be like "Hey a line for a water ride...must be good. Lets get in line" I remember we did that at parks we went to such as SFMM and SFSTL and SFOT...haha. Also...once the boats fill up...it will be a hurricane storm in there.....boats will splash eachother so violently (in a good way) that people would want to be part of the experience. I don't know. This ride has great potential...

Rumors say to get a GCI where Splash Water falls were. And hopefully with a splash down But Buccaneer Battle might seem kiddie, thats why I though. But it is not like you will be angry on the ride, it makes you smile when you get wet from people squirting you...

I was the first rider of the 2nd day it opened to the public! ^ And I rode it 15 times in a row and one more time later. I rode it for over 1 hour and 45 minutes! Hehe. I actually like it! People on path really get you...although maybe 3 targets are needed...and more peeps on other boats...haha

Yep! Highest in the park. 2,000 riders - 2,200 riders per hour. I think Dark Knight only had 1200

What are everyone's thoughts on Buccaneer Battle? I think the line will always be short due to its really high capacity. It will probably only get 10 minutes in the summer with all its queue full

Iron Wolf could give people a good WHIP! through the end half of the ride with the tight banked turns...

I would think just to sell parks, moving rides is a pain unless it was meant to be moved around like Z-Force or Zonga.... I would think PARC Management would by SFKK and SFA...just like when they bought SFEG and SFDL and Frontier City

To start off this topic....lets talk about the coaster "Iron Wolf" One of the biggest problems people seem to have with SF Great America would be the oh so wonderful Iron Wolf. It is, in fact, B&M's first roller coaster. Many people seem to have a problem with the ride, mostly about it's roughness and head banging. I think we can all agree that this is the pubic's least favorite ride. It's just one of those rides that is always a walk on, even when the park has reached full capacity. In my opinion, I want Iron Wolf to stay. I find the ride to be very enjoyable, especially with the tightly squeezed layout. The back really offers a great ride, minus the head banging. I'm not going to whine about it if it gets removed, as I ride it every time I visit, but it will just be one less thing that I ride. My dad told me when American Eagle was open, it was over a 6 hour wait. Mainly because it was in 1981, Mariotts Great America only had 3 other coasters....and it was only theme park in that area at the time. I didn't beleive him but he showed me pictures which I think I should post soon.

If you have 3 days, honestly no plan is needed. 2 days is enough but 3 you could ride each ride more then 2 times and even have time for flat rides....I am going in July for one day and I need to have some type of plan

Out of the 6 SF parks I went to, SFNE is the best one. I went in 2004...and I liked it that much. They added the new Pandamonium thing and I think the park is perfect. Whatever they add, it will make it that much better. Even if it is redoing the parking lot.

Actually, there is. Last year was their record high profit of 275 million....so obviously they are doing something right

I really enjoyed your pictures....your captions are pretty creative. The best pictures are with your blue Pokemon. It doesn't really fit in with the SFMM theme which makes it sooo funny! I wish you got me some maps of the parks you visited on this trip

Still wonder if every park will get a great new addition in 2011 for their 50th anniversery....

True statement! The same day Superman ws 1 hour 15 minutes wait and V2 was 1 hour and half and Raging Bull was 1 hours 45. TDK was only 8 minute way, including preshow is a total of 13 minutes. P.S Has anyone noticed American Eagle being really popular this year and having long lines?
