  1. Does that then make all Schwarzkopfs junk because Revolution beats you senseless? Just wondering...
  2. Piers' method of choosing the frame color was truly regal. He would make a fine statesman.
  3. The way the ride was running before this makeover started, you'd have had to move him down about 150 feet to have any chance of passing him on the way up.
  4. No Vekoma has ever punched me in the side of the head as hard as Revolution does every time I ride it. Granted, I've only ridden a handful of Vekomas, but all of them were at least tolerable. A couple of them, like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad, are among my favorite rides. Even the seemingly hated SLC, Kong, has always given me a decent ride. The only time it's ever punched me in the head is on the final extremely low speed turn back into the station. That can easily be accomodated by bracing yourself for the turn as you enter it. I have otherwise never found it to be anything other than very fun and exciting during the course of the actual high-speed portion of the ride.
  5. Piers is my favorite gay person ever.
  6. Dream theatre - Lines in the sand, live at Bucharest. Very Pink Floyd-ish. Very awesome. Me likey, a lot.
  7. Woohoo! I just scored a few more TPR t-shirts at a smoking hot price! There will now be no shortage of 90* tunnel taking. Thanks Robb. The check is going out in tomorrow's mail.
  8. I wonder what it would be like if it launched backwards, with lap bars... On the moon!
  9. ^ I've always figured that's what they're probably thinking. No one has ever had the guts to ask yet though.
  10. Wow, I'm going to have to be quicker on the draw the next time I see any action in this thread. Since close to half of my t-shirt wardrobe is already made up of TPR shirts I guess I can't complain, but what an awesome deal this was. Count me in the next time any smoking hot TPR t-shirt deals are on the horizon. (I love it when people stare at my "Take the tunnel" TPR shirts and wonder what that really means)
  11. Nah, it's not that you're too young. I remember Tron back from when it first came out and I've never really cared for it much at all. Tron is just one of those things that you're into, or not. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against the Tron fans, it just isn't my cup of tea.
  12. The more times I check back in on this thread the more jealous I get. Thank you for sharing your adventures this season. It really looks like you got your money's worth out of your Fun card. All the other little adventures that you included are awesome as well.
  13. Somebody needs to take away the stupid pills the Cowboys are taking just before the last few seconds of each half. It's sure a good thing that Marc Colombo is getting healthy. Alex Barron can't stop anybody, even when he holds them (which is almost every play). At least the D was stout. Dez Bryant looked like he just might live up to the hype. Poor Roy Williams finally partially redeems himself, only to have the aforementioned Barron acting like he was playing in the special olympics... - sigh - I hope that Sunday night game was just a small bump in the road. - fingers crossed - (just like Jerry Jones)
  14. xray equipment of some sort?
  15. Top Gun at CGA had it, but I think it has since been removed.
  16. I wonder if that "Goin Green" is a hint?
  17. As a casual enthusiast that visits SCBB once or twice a year, I had noticed the Desperados attraction, but honestly had no idea what it was. I have never tried it. Now being informed of its awesomeness I will make it a point to check it out on my next visit.
  18. Maliboomer always did seem out of place in a Disney park. The addition of Carsland, the Little Mermaid ride, the Red Car Trolley, along with the remake of the entrance, seem much more in line with what I'd expect from Disney. I hope that someday they can lend more of that "transported to another world" type feeling that Disneyland has to DCA. Once you walk through the tunnels under the Main Street Station you realize you're "not in Kansas anymore". The berm, and the dense foliage around it, really gives that sort of feeling to the original Disneyland park. Even though you're right in the heart of SoCal suburbia, you'd never know it if you were blindfolded and dropped off just about anywhere inside Disneyland. It's one of the things I enjoy most about the place. I realize that will never be entirely possible with DCA because rides like Tower Of Terror and California Screamin' provide views outside the park boundaries, but working toward more of that "another world" feeling while just walking around the park would be great.
  19. Nah, think about it from a business perspective: they make bank off those cups. I'm guessing it costs them no more than a buck a cup (if that) to have them made and sent to the park, and a $12 profit is something they won't let go of anytime soon. I don't have a problem paying $1 for a lock er, but I do have a problem making someone throw out their $13 cup after they just purchased it. On rides like Tatsu or X, unless you have cargo pockets with zippers or buttons, you can basically consider your phone gone no matter what pocket you put it in. That $1 investment to keep your things safe really isn't that bad. With all due respect, I feel that I addressed the profit issue with the first sentence of my post. The $1 soda with a season pass was just wishful thinking. Here's another idea though: How about if TPR were to negotiate a deal with Six Flags to sell $1 sodas to anyone showing their Club TPR card? Again, just wishful thinking, but it's worth throwing ideas for solutions out there for consideration.
  20. I don't remember the people mover being that squeaky and rickety. Maybe it's just a case of selective memory.
  21. Why not just sell a soda card for $13, instead of a big cumbersome plastic cup you have to carry around? Just show your card and get a large soda in a paper cup for a buck. Better yet, just include $1 sodas with a season pass purchase. There are plenty of mugs in the shops if someone truly wants a souvenir.
  22. No matter what role he's in, I'm certain Jay Thomas will continue to be a huge asset to Six Flags. We'll all certainly miss the personal interaction with him at SFMM, but I think the entire chain, including the southern California park, will do nothing but benefit from having him stationed in the corporate offices. I think the "infamous" leaf policy is awesome! It's a whole lot of "little" things like that, all added up together, that have improved the overall atmosphere at the park. If Jay does happen to make it to the next WCB, I feel he deserves a standing ovation for the way his leadership has helped to turn the park around from the dismal state it was in not that many years ago. Best of luck in all your future endeavors Jay. I have great confidence that you will do Six Flags proud.
  23. He actually lost relatively few of us. XD By the way, I didn't really type "I like small boys in tights" either. Seriously, both are word filters on the site that have been running jokes for quite some time now.
  24. Well, since I've seen a couple predictions, I may as well throw out my very optomistic prognostication as well: Cowboys 14-2, number 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, and champions of Super Bowl XLV in their home stadium with DeMarcus Ware named MVP.
  25. I am now typing this from a braille keyboard as I have gone BLIND!
