Wes Welker, what a heel. He now has the whole off season to make all the foot references he wants. The Jets definitely put their best food forward today.

WCB is an incredible value for just the ERT alone, never mind the free parking, meals, backstage access, etc. I think that people need to keep in mind that the parks don't have to do these kinds of events for us. It's only through hard work, dedication, and the great relationships built up by the leaders of sites like TPR and Rideworld, that we even have these opportunities at all. A few more bucks, or even 10, or 20, just isn't enough to quibble over when you consider what you get for the relatively small amount that you pay. If that few more bucks keeps some of the complainers from attending, all the better. I'd rather spend my time at these events with people that truly appreciate them anyway. For what it's worth, count me as signed up if for any reason either park does decide to offer an add-on dinner option. The dinner add-on at SFMM was an incredible value for whatever it was that we paid for it. (I think it was like $10 or $15 wasn't it?) The spread they laid out, especially the pasta and meatballs, was awesome, and... We got a great big HUGE dessert on top of that, along with all the soda or iced tea you cared to drink. Anyone (who doesn't have specific dietary requirements) that wouldn't want to take advantage of that deal doesn't know the meaning of the word value. As for the S:EFK testing, I'll be happy if it just reaches the red portion of the tower during normal operating mode. Anything above that will be a bonus. I'll take the testing with a grain of salt until we actually see it run with full trains of riders in normal operation.

Millennium Force Promo Help
Mechanic replied to HappyEisentrout's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is it exactly: At the turn of the millennium, there were signs... Was there something out there? A higher intelligence? A mysterious force at work? Beyond words. Beyond comprehension. Beyond...Beyond... (echo: Beyond...) What will the new millennium bring? In theory: A shadowy construct fathomed by scientists at their wits' end of the quest for the answer to everything. Beyond time, beyond space, beyond gravity, beyond dimensions we understand, a natural force simply known as 'Millennium Force'. Somewhere, racing along the edge of the time-space continuum in the universe as we know it, it's out there. Millennium Force, the future is riding on it. -

I actually meant the lap portion of the restraint opening. -

I sure hope this never happens to anyone on a B&M or Vekoma flyer. -
WDW Magic Kingdom vs. Disneyland Questions
Mechanic replied to OISU8P's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Indeed, the suburban sprawl of the area surrounding Disneyland isn't nearly as "welcoming" as a complete themed resort. For what it's worth, here's an admittedly biased, and slightly dated, comparison of individual attractions at MK and DL from someone that's very experienced with both the DLR and WDW properties: Direct comparison of WDW and Disneyland -
WDW Magic Kingdom vs. Disneyland Questions
Mechanic replied to OISU8P's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ True post, although when comparing only Magic Kingdom to Disneyland park, as the title of the thread suggests, the results would likely favor CA. -

Even a rider in the promo material thought Skyhawk sucked. If you look carefully, you can see him flipping off the ride attendant. Awesome update to the thread by the way! -
One man's nightmare is another man's dream. I've been waiting for that matchup since I was old enough to know what professional football was. The one and only time I watched the Cowboys play live in person at Texas stadium was a Cowboys/Raiders game. I didn't want to risk a trip all the way to Texas and come away disappointed, so I went to see my 2 favorite teams play each other.

Are all of you that claim you've had a restraint come loose absolutely certain that it didn't just get pushed downard by positive Gs and then back up against the ratcheting mechanism by negative Gs, or you pushing/pulling on it? Perhaps you confused that as the restraint loosening? I have never in my life had a restraint end up looser than where it started. Tighter, yes, but looser, no. I'm not calling anyone a liar, I just really find this difficult to believe due to my lack of personal experience with anything of the sort. I mean, I could see a seatbelt coming undone (or more likely not having been fully fastened to begin with) but a mechanically held restraint? Just call me skeptical I guess.
