  1. Just wondering, what if SFMM did get a spinning roller coaster, and it was the Maurer Sohne Non-Inverting model? What would your thoughts be on that?
  2. ^^I think I was in line right about then as well. I agree with you about Terminator; I was thinking while in line, "Could they at least inform us that the ride broke down or something?" I mean, they were slower than usual.
  3. ^^ Yes they did. I wonder if I saw you in line for Terminator. Did you wear a grayish-shirt? if it was you, I was the guy in the white shirt with the winged rhino and said, "It's about damn time." or something like that. And sorry Elissa, I thought you said ride track. I really didn't see anything though. Although on Terminator's lift I think I saw more dance coaster parts than were there when everyone was attending WCB (I was at the park but couldnt attend the event.)
  4. Checking in from the park. Elissa, I can confirm that there are no pieces of track in the normal parking lot. So whoever said there was probably got confused with the MrSix Dance Coaster pieces next to Terminator (if they are still there as I have yet to ride it). Or maybe SFDK is secretly getting something that is going to CHANGe its skyline, and SFMM is only its pit stop that was meant to confuse us I can also confirm that SUPERMAN IS NOT TESTING. Whoever got the bright idea that it takes well over six months just to test a car going backwards needs to have their brain checked Or at least work on their story so it at least appears logical
  5. I should be heading down there tomorrow or Sunday, and I'll have a look about if I can.
  6. ^^ He's not quoting anyone, just pointing out that Six Flags does indeed pay attention to the things we say about their parks here and the fact that some people will indeed complain about Scream!'s removal when it comes.
  7. We wouldn't if it was either smoother or there was something that really set it apart from other floorless roller coasters :/
  8. First Concept Artwork of Six Flags Dubailand: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/photo.php?pid=4376585&id=237234629332
  9. Tidal Wave's removal rumor is circulating again. http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_magic_mountain.htm I don't think Thrill Shot will be missed though if it is also removed. Maybe that's where a new drop tower will go?
  10. ^ I didn't know companies like Weta Digital and ILM now help make airtime on roller coasters
  11. Well, if Colossus is indeed next in line to get the Texas Giant refurbishment treatment, perhaps it will run both sides once again!
  12. ^ In regards to the lift/launch, I'm actually seeing something more like a Maverick-style launch/lift hill kinda thing. But only B&M and Gardaland truly know...
  13. You can have it if you give us Raging Bull. Our current hyper coaster Goliath will be sent to some park that finds it valuable.
  14. ^Well it appears that Superman is closed for 'annual maintenance' for the coming months, and according to Screamscape, it might be closed until late 2011. http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_magic_mountain.htm
  15. I wouldn't call that an expansion. It's just like Terminator, it's a good replacement for what was already there.
  16. If that ever happened, and its unlikely they would do that, I'd much rather they replace it with a custom Intamin Pre-fab and/or a Hurricane Harbor expansion.
  17. Seems like Terminator's audio won't be returning at all: http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_magic_mountain.htm Being that this is simply a rumor, can someone confirm with Jay Thomas if this is true or not? I mean, its not like without the audio the ride completely sucks, but it is strange flying through the ride's course without "TAKE THE TUNNEL"
  18. Frankly, you should try to get there as early as possible and on a day when its a lot cooler. Sometimes it cools down a lot in June, but between July-September is when it usually gets hot. If you do get there early, hit the more popular coasters first (either X2 or Tatsu), before making your way around the park. If you can't, try going later, particularly close to closing time.
  19. I agree, and as I've always said, this park would have done at the very least a little better as another land of Disneyland. Wouldn't it just be easier for them to just re-theme the entire park to the North American woods in general? Paradise Pier wouldn't take much to be re-themed to a northern coastal town, and most of the park gives off the feel of the North American wilderness anyway. The Hollywood section would obviously be unable to change, so it could stay to show off a North America 'modernizing' over the years.
  20. Now that's got to be the coolest promo poster I've seen. Shame that this sort of thing isn't happening to the Arrow Suspended coasters though...
  21. Wouldn't that have been done before the track even arrived at the park?
  22. Interesting. Perhaps we will see more Premier coasters?
