Hello again all you happy TPR readers...it's time again that the (other) Wes brings you a PTR. This past weekend was kind of Charlotte's kickoff to the Bobcats' (NBA) opening week (they start their season Nov. 1). So they had a big autograph signing at Concord Mills (local mall) and then something else happened that we'll get to a little bit later. For now let's get started! Everywhere you go...there they are. This mall actually has 2 of these. I guess in case you need more caffeine by the time you get to the other end of the mall. The line behind me for autographs. Fun! The 4 players for some reason were late and I finally gave up on getting autographs. So I had an errand to run in the mall... Getting tired of orange yet? Orangeya glad I haven't made any orange jokes yet? Okafor through the trash bags!!11!! Oh wait... In case you forgot where Charlotte is. In North Carolina we like to tote our guns to the mall and take random shots at the theming. Mets Lose! Mets Lose! (Sorry Mets fans) This was the line in front of me for autographs when I arrived. 4 of the players were there later...but we'll get to that...you guessed it. This so totally makes this an approved PTR! So does this mean I have an extra park credit now? This is actually in the food court for Concord Mills. So as I said Saturday I headed out to Concord Mills...Yo I'm Rufus Lynx da Bobcats mascot! Check out my cool shades! *thinking* Black guy - I have so totally moisturized my cuticles this morning! ... White guy - Oh ho ho! You think you can defeat Pepi LePeu! (sp?) ... Girl - I am so like totally loving this job! ... Security cop - Why did I get out of bed this morning? I finished what I needed to in the mall and headed back to see if the Bobcats had shown up. They had! Maye is on the left (N.Carolina) and I'm not sure who that is on the right. It might be Okafor. North Carolina's Great American Outdoor Store!!!11!!! Actually this is a cool store. They have a 2-story fish tank that is awesome (sorry no pics of that). What goes better than anything with Starbucks? Chocolate! For added calories and sugar as you walk around that HUGE mile long mall! I'm tired just thinking about it. Have a Fit!!!! I had actually never seen these little cars from Honda and thought it looked cute. That's all for this batch of pictures. More to come! Will Wes be killed on the local bus in Charlotte? Stay tuned to find out! Assimilated Geese! We are in Charlotte after all. On the way out of the mall...Somehow this reminds me of Houston Thrills. This so totally also makes this a park TR!!! A lot of people pick on Concord Mills, but I still like the place. Any place where you can get chocolate and a sim ride is alright with me. Sadly the Jeepers closed. (Glad I got the Python Pit credit!) Oh rly? HELLO KITTY ALERT! This was so funny, I wish I would have had someone filming me. My flash took FOREVER and Kitty was looking at me kind of weird.

Hopefully it will all work out for this trip next year. Missed you guys at C3. Come on Uncle Sam and employer (whose name can't be entered for fear of lawsuits)...daddy needs money for a coaster trip!

Going on TPR FL trip > Going to work every day. Maybe I'll get to one of these someday (if it's open to anyone). Not sure if it is or not. I've got a super, exciting, splendifulous Charlotte Bobcats PTR coming up this week (whenever I feel like doing it). lol But hey, I've always got closing weekend at Carowinds in the 50's instead of the 70's or 80's like you guys. Thanks Erik for another great PTR!!!

Great PTR!!! I so wanted to go this year, but ended up going to the step-child to the south (South Carolina State Fair). Which wasn't terrible, but not as good as NC's.

^ Cool! Thanks for the info! It's interesting that they moved it since they've done Coastermania the first week of June for a long time, if not always. Ted...No! Not the Zombie!! That would be great if you and Catrina (or just you if she's scared by me) could come up and hang out. Right now I only know of one couple that I'll be hanging out with at CP and of course at this point nothing is definete. ALSO... I've added another disclaimer at the bottom of the first post. Just putting a feeler out there to see if anyone is interested in joining me on my week-long trip next year (my only one for the year). I'm 99% sure this will be the schedule unless something comes up. Anyway...because I bought the MAXX Pass from Cedar Fair (woot!), here's the itenerary. Geagua Lake and Cedar Point are included in a MAXX Pass, but Kennywood and the small parks are not. Dates are still TBD (starts probably the middle of June). Day 1 - Leave from Charlotte, NC and drive 10 hours to Sandusky, OH. (This is negotiable, we could flip Kennywood and Cedar Point, but I like to get the longest drive out of the way 1st). Also I would prefer/consider flying if I can find a cheap flight. Day 2 - Cedar Point - Thursday before Coastermania Day 3 - Cedar Point - Coastermania Day 4 - Geagua Lake and drive to PA and hit one or two small parks Day 5 - Kennywood Day 6 - Drive 7.5 hours back to Charlotte Costs - Flight (if we fly) Rental Car (or we can take your car if you would prefer, my car has 100k miles on it). Hotels - TBD (I normally like nice hotels, but not expensive... like a Fairfield. I've had bad experiences at places like Microtel.) Food Extra spending money Disclaimer - PLEASE READ! While this is open to anyone, if I don't know you personally and not on the internet-only except for a few of you...like Robb would be fine since I obviously know who he is and we've chatted on AIM before. But Joe from ANYWHERE, USA that I've never met or never talked with via PM or doesn't post on TPR on a regular basis...I will have to decline. I just don't want to end up on a 5 day trip with someone I don't know and something weird happens. This is not one of those TPR trips after all. lol Also...if anyone would be interested (that are in those areas) of coming and just hanging out and riding some rides with me that would be awesome too! I love meeting TPR peeps! ANOTHER DISCLAIMER... For legal reasons and for other reasons, this would not be for someone under 21. Great 1st PTR! Sadly I won't get to the NC Fair this year. Looks better than the SC Fair was last week. Glad to see another Caniac. Go Canes!!!

I'm sure Robb probably gets creeped out with all the fanboys he has now. But seriously, I was somewhere recently and the person was going on and on about Robb and how awesome he was and how he wanted to have his baby and on and on and on. It's like come on, Robb is only human. He is...right?

I was at Carowinds on one of the biggest attendance days ever at like 30,000. It was insane. 40,000 *shudders* I never want to repeat that. Food lines were 45 minutes long!

Can you guys do like Temptation Island and vote me into the house??? Looks like an awesome time for you guys.

I agree that it would be a cool thing, but if anything ever happens it will probably just be one attraction at a park like Disney.

^ We should start a petition. Save the Myrtle Beach Haunted Hotel!!! This is one time I wish I had the funds to buy something like that. That was really a fun ride and I wish I could have ridden several more times before they closed.

^ Considering there is only 1 swat in the country and everyone complains about it being uncomfortable, I doubt we'll see anymore. Terrible name, but I love these rides.
