While I would much rather see a spinning coaster, the Vekoma Roller Skater is good news. As others have pointed out, there's quite a bit of a 'jump' between kiddie and family. While Roller Skaters are indeed considered kiddie coasters (my 10-year old cousin refused to go on Gadget earlier this year) I still think this is a step in the right direction. ...that being said, I wouldn't have minded a Giga Aquatrax with fire.

Voyager's TRs - West Coast '09
The Disneylander replied to Voyager's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great stuff! And to answer your question, no the canoes aren't upcharge attractions! The boarding area was right next to the Splash Mountain entrance. -
It is really a "twister" though? I mean, it has a drop, turn around, floater hill, midcourse, curved drop from midcourse, helix, brake run. I'm not sure that an intese helix makes it a "twister." How many other hypers have you been on? --Robb Not much, I admit. Most of the other hypers I've been on have been Arrow out-and-backs and they've all been average (Desperado and Magnum come to mind). And I do consider Goliath to be a twister coaster. It's definitely not an out-and-back, and not a figure-eight. A twister is the closest it comes to.

SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread
The Disneylander replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I drove past it a couple of months ago. The structure looked fine, but all I got was a quick glance through the window, so obviously I could have missed some things. -
Meh, I could take it or leave it. Obviously I have yet to experience a Timberliner, but I'm guessing that they'll be pretty similar to Millennium Flyers, which I found to be pretty much about the same as PTCs in terms of ride quality and tracking. Also, I LOVE how the PTCs look...classy and elegant, like a 50's American Chevy. I have a feeling the new, streamlined Toyota-esque Timberliners won't give me that same feeling.

Bringing food to US themeparks
The Disneylander replied to Coasterfan85's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Generally, all if not most US parks prohibit bringing your own food. That said, I've never seen it enforced myself...I've brought plenty of stuff into the parks, including sandwiches, thermos bottles, etc. and security always let it go. As others have said, they're looking for weapons and dangerous stuff, not food. They have bigger fish to fry.
