^Yeah, as much as I was glad for the environmentalism of not using disposable cups, I might still do it for the convenience. How about a lift hill and a mid-course launch? -

The first Saturday of January, but I have another upcoming in March! When was the last time you had a haircut? -
Like inner tubing on a river? Yes! My family lives in the mountains, lots of river portions to choose from! Do you enjoy political discussion/debate?
-
No, but I was invited over to dinner by someone who made it for me! Will you be attending a special event at a theme park this year?

Although there were portions of the tour where people were clearly taking distance photos of Mean Streak and they never said anything, I did get the feeling that it was a bit disrespectful and they didn't want people doing it but could only control it to the extent that they did. I'm sure they knew people would be zooming in on it from other portions of the park, but that one location offered the best view of "the hill" and they at least didn't want people photographing that. All other photos taken felt a bit questionable. The park did so much for us today and took us past an area they knew we would get a decent glimpse of Mean Streak that people could take advantage of, I feel the least we can do is respect their previous wishes. Let other theme park sites be "those guys." -
Yes. Have you ridden a Vekoma Boomerang in the last year?

On our tour, there was only one portion (Gemini to about the bridge by Cedar Creek) that they specifically said no pictures. Otherwise, they didn't say anything to people taking photos at other locations and zooming in. -

I had a blast today at Chillout. I appreciate all that the park did for us. About the picture they showed us... I wasn't really sure if I was seeing it right but it was a very nice shot taken from the track looking up to the hill we've seen. However, what got me is it almost looked like there was a flat portion (the vantage point of the shot) and structure to the left. Don't take my word for it because they only showed it briefly and maybe someone else can weigh in, but it almost looked like the lift hill was to the left and separate from the track leading to that big hill. I considered the possibility of a launch midway through the ride as well as a traditional lift at the beginning, but what do I know? I could be completely off and we'll really only know for sure when they officially announce it, "when it is beneficial to our business model," but maybe something to think about? -

8:30 tour went really well! Weather only got bad towards the end. They took us up under Gemeni and then through Frontiertown past Cedar Creek Mine ride. "No photo zone! Look at Millennium Force!" *wink wink nudge nudge* I'm curious to see what other people thought but we had a clear enough view of the other side of that hill. It's not done yet, but looks like it banks sharply left and then back right again. Didn't look like an inversion to me but I could be wrong. It's even more amazing looking in person! No other track I saw but obvious deconstruction of the structure and adding height on the lift. I'm very pleased we at least got to see that much! We'll see if Q&A turns up anything. I'll post some of my photos but I'm sure others will have better ones Here ya go! Sexy glasses we got to keep Beautiful day until later Water park construction Under Gemeni -

I have a high degree of certainty that people are going just to get pictures of RMC Streak to gain credit in the enthusiast community. (Credit usually means nothing, but keep in mind what type of enthusiast we're dealing with) They see this: Oh I definitely know it! I keep going over and over in my head if there is any way they would take us on a construction tour of Mean Streak, but because of said above types, it seems more likely that they won't. Still, getting excited even as the weather is going haywire right now! Forecast says it might even snow tomorrow. Bummer because today was so nice. -
No, there are some really great terrain coasters! Is there a B&M in your top 5?

6 hours is a hell of a long time, which gives me more reason to want to go on that Friday if it takes away from the possibly worse lines over the weekend and following few weeks. I guess I'm just impatient and want to ride something for myself before I start reading all the posts about it (positive and negative) that could potentially plant bias. I totally understand the people who want to wait to ride something to save themselves from waiting in long lines, I think that makes more sense than my preference. My friend waited months for Joker for that reason, despite having the opportunity to ride it earlier. I did not want to wait and was there opening weekend, and despite the long, hot waits I had for it during the summer, I regret nothing! I did get a tan But man, I don't know if I could do the 6+ hours. I've only gone to coaster openings at CGA and SFDK, so the longest I waited was maybe 1.5 hours. -
^WOO!! You'll love it! Yes I do, thankfully! Do you think RMC Mean Streak will open this year?

^^I like that analogy. I just saw the photo too and boy, I don't know what to make of it either, but it looks like this thing could have some serious air, and seriously crazy elements. And that's judging off this one picture, we still know nothing about the rest of the ride. The "surprise element" means nothing. People are going to want to ride it regardless of whether or not they're surprised when the announcement is made. Valravn was leaked about a year ahead of time by the Sandusky Register and it didn't make a bit of difference. Plus, you're operating under the assumption that everyone is following the leaks and studying the coaster layout as closely as hardcore enthusiasts are. They're not. My boyfriend still doesn't believe anything is happening with Mean Streak, or he's seriously trolling me Every time I bring it up, he says something along the lines of, "That ride is so rough and crappy!" Despite the fact that we rode SC together last year and had an amazing time, he doesn't get it, and I think his feelings would be representative of most of the "GP" at this point. He wouldn't know anything if it wasn't for me, and the few others I've told don't seem to get it either. We're the only ones that are like, "DUH it's RMC and it's epic!" I think plenty of people think it was/is being demolished or they just haven't thought anything of it since it closed, so for them an announcement will be shocking. I do agree that I hope they announce it before park opening in May, so that seeing it in person doesn't ruin the "surprise" the way an announcement would. Also, from the Chill-Out site: I hope they might take us to see it, even though I know that means photography will not be permitted. -
Yes! Have you been to a theme park yet this year?

Just finished eating it! Are you planning to attend a coaster's opening day this year?

8:30 yo. We delayed buying our tickets for like one day and all the non-buttcrack of dawn times were taken. (Hey, I'm just glad we got a ticket!) Carry on with your a$$-wiping, TP-stringing conversation, it's making me on an otherwise unexciting day. -
Yes, a week or so ago (while drinking). Did you get President's Day off from work/school?
