  1. My favourite B&M is every single B&M.
  2. Fabbri Mega Drops are the best, as someone else said earlier, the downward launch adds so much to the experience.
  3. I'm coming to that conclusion too. The bit where he describes Velocity as "the best in the country". Yeah.
  4. EDIT: Didn't read the post properly.
  5. I still don't buy any of it, and I still don't trust him as far as I could throw him. My gut tells me something, and it's not usually wrong.
  6. No, they seem very similar because he involved with Golden Horse. In the same way "his" trains for this 16 inversion mess are very, very similar to Gerstlauer trains. And another one of "his" creations on his youtube page bears more than a passing resemblance to a KMG Afterburner. I do not trust this Camiel person, not even slightly. 1. Just because the ride has a similar seating layout to an afterburner means nothing, they both offer 2 separate ride experiences. 2. There is a very good reason why those trains look similar, because they are the exact same, those train designs you've likely seen online were made by camiel. So you are saying that he had authorisation from KMG to use the design, and Gerstlauer lets him design their trains? Right.

  8. Vampire at Chessington, albeit with the Vekoma floorless trains. Would love to try out other Arrow suspended coasters, such a shame they were never more prolific.
  9. 4 days is ridiculous anyway, but 1983?! That's a long time to be constructed and to never open. Is there a reason given? Probably something to do with the internal strife of Argentina following the collapse of the Military Junta government after the Falklands War. Interesting Giovanola/Intamin design though.
  10. Windjammer Surf Racers at Knott's Berry Farm has to be up there too, with a total operational lifespan of 3 years, it was removed as a result of continual mechanical failures. This was the coaster that killed TOGO.
  11. Count me firmly and unequivocally out.
  12. We as enthusiasts can and should do more to protect and defend the companies who create the roller coasters and rides we love so much, if that means boycotting all these Chinese companies and the people who work for or with them, I think that is a fairly easy thing to do. I won't be riding this persons creations, now or ever.
  13. Original design or not, supporting any company which sees fit to rip off the hard work and years of effort from real manufacturers is wrong and I will be boycotting this "designer" and "his" creations.
  14. Looks great, I really hope they build a few more of them.
  15. I can well believe it, those thin straps would hurt like hell
  16. Would be very interesting if it did, Stealth on Turbo Mode would be one seriously messed up ride, in standard mode it has to rank as at least one of the most forceful launches in the world.
  17. Stealth goes to 4.8 G which I think is about right for a 205 ft Rocket Coaster. Earlier in the thread someone mentioned Kingda Ka's turbo mode, does anyone know if Stealth and Rita (and maybe even Velocity at Flamingo Land [Vekoma Motorbike coaster]) have this setting as well?
  18. That said the surrounding are is supposed to be a town that's been decimated by a tidal wave so falling into disrepair could be considered "theming". It's one of those genius themes that rewards the place for looking beaten up. A bit like the SAW queue line I noticed! I see what you mean. It's a shame they never built more on that theme when they first created it, still it is a really good area and Tidal wave is still awesome to watch
  19. It's nice to see that area repainted after all these years, hopefully it will stay that way when they remove the Angry Birds theming.
  20. Except for a basic understanding of rollercoaster design and physics. Not "bitter" at all, you must be however, if you feel the need to extrapolate words into meanings they never had in the first place. Then do not discuss what you do not understand. I think all the promo details and renderings leave me no choice but to view it as a toboggan ride down an observation tower. Oh, and you can add onto that handle the world's tallest cash cow as the ignorant GP think they are paying for and boarding some kind of groundbreaking experience. And nothing more need be revealed. It will be a trimmed down, expensive toboggan ride down a 500 foot high shopping mall. End of. Anyone who had ever ridden a B&M, more explicitly, the first B&M inverter. Putting it in a hole or not, it would still have been a good rollercoaster. Your argument is riddled with petty passive aggressiveness, it doesn't work. That you had to try and capitalise the word "coaster" to push home an argument that doesn't exist, immediately following your major u-turn regarding what can and cannot be said with any certainty shows me even you do not believe your own arguments.
  21. And you'd be absolutely right, if block brakes and trim brakes were the same thing. No. Because it's rubbish. a 500 foot toboggan down a observation tower is hardly "groundbreaking". Actually they make perfect sense. Th13teen is trimmed to hell, and is worse off because of it, High Roller relied purely on the height it was built at for the ride experience. Not at all. Nobody envies Orlando. If anything, I pity it. No, simply put, it looks crap. You don't even need a POV to tell it wont be able to gather enough speed for thrills, there are minimal drops, and ultimately, it's a gimmick.
  22. I just really hope that the layout gets announced for this thing and everybody with ^this^ attitude goes crazy because it's so great and they need one closer to their house. If I wanted to go on Trim Brake: The Ride, I'd go on TH13TEEN, if I really wanted to ride an El Loco, there are 2 located not very far at all, in Yorkshire and France.
  23. Well one thing is for sure, I will not be dragging myself half way around the world to ride some kind of glorified toboggan, 500 foot high or not.
