  1. ^^ I think pompous is about right Elissa. Great photos Soren. I really enjoyed seeing all of the different architecture. That old half demolished church was simply awesome. At least enough of it was left standing to get an idea of what it used to looked like.
  2. Even I would not call this thing a coaster and thats saying a lot. It does look fun though. I look forward to riding it this summer.
  3. Wow, over 30 people. This should be a fun party. The only people I've met before on the list is Chris and Natalee Godsey. What is the most people you have had at your place for a TPR meet in the past?
  4. Coasternovice. See list below. I did put in both sides of Matterhorn, Colossus, and Space Mountain @ WDW so I should probably only be at 65. Blame Ted for puting it on his counter that way
  5. ^ Same here. Looking forward to finally meeting some of you guys at the party after WCB.
  6. For all you Flashback fans Ted has added an old Z-Force promo commercial from SFGAm (courtesy of coasterdad) to his site. http://www.coasterfanatics.com/sec_videos/
  7. ^ I made the drive from Sacramento to SFMM in about 6hrs a few years ago so I would guess around 7 or 8 depending on where in the L.A. area you are starting from. I would love to make it down there Wally if it weren't for Solace/WCB the previous weekend.
  8. ^ I read the same thing about the power but I can't remember where I read it. As for the ride itself. I rode it many times on numerous trips in the 90's and never had a ride that didn't create a lot of head banging. I would put it on about the same level as Psyclone as far as enjoyable goes. But I would still rather see them open it than just let it rot. And knowing me I'd still ride the damn thing. I seem to always find myself riding Psyclone once each trip I make even though its a world class POS.
  9. Ok, so its been a while sense I posted any pictures as I am just one of the random people that likes to post in the "Derek and random other people drink beer thread" but here goes...... I headed down to McMenamins Pub tonight as it is only about a half mile from my house and one of my favorite places to eat. And the winner is Hammerhead by a slight margin over there wheat hefe. Yum. Hammerhead. Now this is a good beer. There Porter is good. Nice and hoppy with just a hint of chocolate and coffee flavor. Sandi likes the Ruby Ale. I know! I'll try them all and then decide. A view out our window of the old Oregon City Bridge and the Willamette River. Ok this weather is really depressing me. Time for a beer. But, which of there excellent brews am I in the mood for tonight? McMenamins. Looks nice and cozy from outside in the effing rain eh?
  10. Nice Wally. That looks a lot better than the old desk
  11. McMenamins Ruby Ale.
  12. I'm there. Got that whole week off so now I just need to figure out what else I can fit in too.
  13. Hey Ted let me know if your buddy has a bottle of Moose Drool from Montana. If not it is an interesting bottle and I would be happy to send some out to you to add to the collection. http://www.bigskybrew.com/index.php/fuseaction/home.beers
  14. I don't know how I missed this thread up untill now but that is good stuff. LMAO when I read this too.
  15. YEAH ROCKETS.
  16. Hoppy Holidays. Very clever. What will those wacky Budweiser people think of next.
  17. Just got done seeing it. Overall a good movie and I would have probably enjoyed it more if I hadn't read 3 different revues that said it was the best movie sense Titanic and better then Jacksons LOTR movies. I certainly would not go that far but a good movie none the less. There were diffinately some bad CGI moments and I felt it was a little too long but the action scenes were great. And IMO Naomi Watts is a total hottie so that never hurts either.
  18. ^ I gotta agree. Elissa makes a good point and I might think about it if I had a choice between bad sex and a great coaster but good or great sex vs a great coaster I gotta go with sex.
  19. I consider Silverwood my home park even though it is a 5&1/2 hr drive. Portland has pretty much nothing in the way of theme parks. My favorite coaster at Silverwood........... Tremors.
  20. 1 Top Gun- PGA 2 Silver Bullet 3 BTR- SFMM Only been on those 3 and I love them all.
  21. ^ IMO it was worth the 2 hrs of ERT on Riddler, X, and Goliath. During that time everything was a walk on. The park was packed after about 11am though. But, like Paul said, Rideworld is planning an all day exclusive event when Tatsu opens so if it is not ready by Solace then maybe plan on going to the all day event at the mountain instead. On the other hand if you have never been to Solace it is a great event with many hrs of ERT. Last year was my 1st time and I had a blast.
  22. Thanks all. Heading to dinner with my wife in about 5 min.
  23. A dinner of halibut fish & chips and a Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve to wash it down.
