  1. *NVM* just looked back through the questions and saw it was asked already Is it closer to the Atlantic or Pacific ocean?
  2. Is it located in a major amusement park?
  3. Diamondback at Kings Island like..3 weeks ago. Also I just looked and I don't know why but I definitely don't have a picture of Diamondback. Strange.
  4. I wouldn't say that my coastering has inspired my other thrill seeking activities, I just like doing really scary (potentially stupid) stuff. I've been bungee jumping and SCAD diving, I rock climb quite often, kayak a lot, ski (water and snow), wakeboard...badly, and I FINALLY worked up the courage to go on the slingshot at Kings Island. I have no idea why that took me so long to work up the nerve to get on, but I'm happy to say I loved it and there was only mild profanity that came out of my mouth on it. No I didn't buy the video.
  5. ^Better looking but still quite ugly, but the 2.0 Turbo does make it somewhat appealing.
  6. From now (actually January) until May 20th I will be in EPCOT, either at The Seas With Nemo and Friends/Turtle Talk or outside for Flower and Garden Festival. If you're going to EPCOT pm so I can tell you where I'm working so you can stalk me!
  7. ^Go Nemo! Thats originally where I started too on my college program (I'm still here!) but they moved me over to flower and garden festival operations about 2 months into my program. I absolutely loved it at the seas, the people are fantastic and its a great place to work.
  8. I will be going tomorrow to check out the Haunted Mansion interactive queue, however when you rode HM were the hitchhiking ghosts at the end working? The last 2 times I've been on it they have been just projected on a curtain instead of the usual effect.
  9. I've been assigned "Operations/Merchandise", so I'm presuming that this fits into the "non-constumed" description? In that case, I think a shopping trip is in order... Great! No, its almost guaranteed that you'll get a costume. Don't worry about dress clothes too much, I had to wear them 3 days my first week and then I haven't had to since. If you're taking a class here however they do require professional attire for the classes.
  10. ^^Depends on what your role is. If you're a "non-costumed" role then absolutely yes. But other then that if you have a costume you'll need about 3 days worth of dress clothes, give or take a day.
  11. ^^Absolutely gorgeous car, but I prefer the 8C Spider... So nice...
  12. ^Yes. Please. Now.
  13. I just finished my assessment for attraction (Future world east, The Seas). I didn't get any attractions specific questions in my phone interview, however the phone interviewer did ask which role would be my preference. But like ^ said, DONT expect to get the role you want. Also ONLY sign up for roles that you really wouldnt mind doing. Don't just sign up for custodial cause you think it'll help your chances.
  14. CONGRATS!!! That's really awesome! Especially since I heard the professional internships were extremely competitive this year. Hopefully I'll see you down there at some point
  15. ^It seems possible and entirely likely. I applied as soon as I could and I was very fortunate to get the role I wanted. The more popular roles (quick food service, attractions, merchandise) fill up more quickly then others so applying sooner seems like it would give you a better chance of giving you the role you wanted.
  16. I'll just say I'm thrilled about the statement "With no previous ties to the company". A fresh perspective can do wonders.
  17. I've had a Yamaha Acoustic for a couple years now and I'm decent at playing it. This year for Christmas I got a Fender Stratocaster and love it, it is my new baby. I love it
  18. ^^Thanks for the opinion on the apartments, I'm leaning towards Chatham Square too cause from who I've talked to at Purdue they liked it more, and I will have a car there. Move in in 11 days! Can't wait!!!
  19. Millennium at night is one of my favorites, but on a totally different note I really enjoy Big Thunder at WDW at night. Coming out of the dark cave to the night is pretty sweet, and who doesn't love BTMRR?
  20. I agree that Yak and Yeti is REALLY good, especially for being in the park. What are your other 2 top restaurants?
  21. ^ I wouldn't count on it, but despite the crowds halloweekends is still one of my favorite times to be at the park.
  22. ^Lol that shouldn't be a problem, I dont drink and I'm REALLY looking forward to working there so I guess I'm set!
  23. ^^ I'm a freshman too, but let me know if you get in!
  24. I'm deciding to bump this thread cause I just got accepted as a Attractions Cast Member for the spring season though the Disney College Program . Very excited to start working there! Any advice from any alumni of the program?
  25. So according to MSNBC Mean Streak is closed for the rest of the season? Link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39325041/ns/local_news-cleveland_oh/
