Yay for another park in Michigan! I can't hear any audio on the video, can anyone confirm there will be a coaster there? -

^Well it will be soon, look at the picture, it looks like a camera is on the train. Also has anyone gotten their on-ride pictures yet? I want to see what it looks like. EDIT: Link- http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/extra/index.cfm -
I LOVE Sheikra (but my avatar doesn't give it away). Dive coasters (well Sheikra at least since its the only one i've been on) are very unique, but not too intense. The first drop is incredible (especially in the front while your hanging at the top ) with great "airtime", you aren't really forced out of your seat (except for the back a little) but just kinda float on the way down. The ride its self is extremely smooth and very fun, outside seats are a little more intense then the center just because you get flung around a little more, but its not rough. As for accelerator coasters (all of this is based on Dragster), the first time on one they are VERY intimidating, but they are pretty intense. After going on it a few times the only really intense part is the launch. Other then that its really short, and not much going on (unless your afraid of heights, then your on your own). Like FeelTheFORCE said, look around a little bit, its an amazing view (a little scary for me to see Millennium about 100+ feet below you, and I'm not afraid of heights, as with any ride this is exaggerated in the front). Personally I would say go on Dragster, its a fun ride and heck even if you don't like it its only 15 seconds so it wont last long, but I would guess you'll like it. Also definitely go on Griffon if you get the chance, dive machines look a lot scarier then they are.

^I actually think its possible too. I'm guessing that they got all the programing done while they were waiting for the new track (at least i hope) and if they did then ya all they need to do is test it. Wow ... -

I remember hearing for years now (after Cedar Point got Wicket Twister) that Michigan's Adventure is going to get a impulse. I hope so, they need a new coaster. -

Yup! Pfft. Having actually seen the ride testing, I still think it'll easily be their best ride. Agreed, and i haven't even seen the ride testing. While I'm not sure if it will be THE best (I still love Millie ) but I am sure it will be one of the best in the park. -

So yeah me and my friend went down to Cedar Point for opening day and part of the day sunday. Overall it wasn't a bad visit, but it wasn't the greatest either. Ill just get straight to the pictures. And i leave you with one last picture of the Entrance and the sign, thanks for reading! Barrel roll Exit The stairs leading up to the station, I still want to know why theres two sides. Possibly a single rider line? Another view A shot of the queue from the photo booth/ gift shop, hopefully there will be more stuff in there when the ride opens. Some final shots of Maverick, cause we all know you love them. Maverick's train through the trees. My friend hadn't been on Mine Ride and it was a walk on so we decided to ride. We got off and headed straight to Skyhawk, I didn't get any pictures. Dragster was good, though i don't understand why in the morning they only run 3 rows, it makes operations VERY slow. Next day, we get in the park early and head straight for Dragster, only to wait through the whole hour while they try to get trains over, it was cold that morning. And one last picture for the night, Dragster had been closed for a while by now, I wasn't sure what was wrong with it. Nothing special... but still fun if the wait isn't bad. My friend wanted to ride Wildcat, and i hadn't been on it in over a year so i agreed. And my so called secret spot has been ruined Right here, actually it was all ACErs back by the swings. First drop, note the ACEr with the pink hair at the bottom. Poster under the sign. Maverick pictures, cause everyone loves them. I told you I was upset, i just need a gallon of ice cream (joking). I wanted to see how Maverick looked with the themeing added, and IMO it looks great, I can't wait for it to open, but I do admit I was upset about it being closeed. See Dont let the sky fool you, its really cold outside. WARNING: Nerdy coaster shot coming up... Millennium was fun as always. Since Dragster was closed, we decided to wait for Millennium, and we ended up waiting about an hour for the front. Raptor seemed to be running a little rough today, maybe it was just me. Haha i laugh at these people, too bad there all going to crush us in a few minuets. After getting our pass processed fairly painlessly we got in the park with the resort passes and headed straight for raptor. We waited about 20 minuets with 3 train operations...yeah it was busy. Maybe not. Before driving to the front gate for our season pass, we see Dragster testing, looks good so far... See what i mean? The real reason the ride was closed is because no one could take pictures of it. Yay were here! Shouldn't they change that?

On closing weekend you could see the heartline roll and the turn out of the tunnel fine, but this was before the canyon was added. Theres a "secret" spot that i'll try to get pictures from on saturday, TR sometime next week. -

^^No they are trims, i remember Tony and Tyler saying in a podcast that it controls the speed of the train going over the hill, which to me means its a trim. -

Thank you, Me my mom and a friend have a hotel reservation, and I'm not planning on canceling because of one ride (albeit a new one). It's one ride, it's going to open eventually, and there making it better and safer by doing this, and personally i would rather wait for a ride to be open then get hurt while riding it. Like JJ said its a vacation, there are a lot worse things then a new ride not being open. Reminds me of a year ago on a cruise with my family, we pulled into port one day (I think it was Cozumel) and it was POURING outside, they didn't let us off the ship until about an hour later then scheduled, and even then me and my family didn't get off. Did we complain? Heck no, were on a freaking Cruise Ship, there is a LOT to do, and were on vacation, so it didn't really matter anyway. Now instead of a Cruise its a trip to Cedar Point and instead of rain in Cozumel its Maverick being delayed. Get my point? -

OK two kind of off topic questions, one does anyone know if people staying at Breakers will get in early on opening day to ride Maverick? Two does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a season pass renewal through mail? Thanks. -

Oh, it will be. Weekdays in May, every ride is a walk-on. May isn't technically the "summer", though, it's still the spring, so you're probably right. Untrue. I go every May on a weekday and while most are less than a ten minute wait, some rides may have waits up to an hour, MF and TTD most notably. Hmm. I have been going every May the Thursday and Friday after opening day for the past 5 years, and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for anything. But then again, every year it has been cold and/or rainy, so that could play a big factor. Right, and if the weather continues like it has been, it should be mid 60's and sunny. With a new roller coaster, i think opening day will be packed, i'm still planning on going though. Anyone want to meet up there? PM me. Kevin "Wishes Cedar Point had single rider lines" M. I think there going to have some lighting effect in there, I'm not sure who but someone already said something about old fashioned lanterns that flicker and go out or something to that effect, which would be sweet and very un-Cedar Point. Kevin "9 days till opening day!"M.
