  1. I know its a little late, but I just have to say that the 2 pictures of the girls on the log flume at Darien Lake literally had me crying cause I was laughing so hard. Great PhotoTR, awesome pictures too!
  2. ^^That's getting me closer to being sold on the idea. I can't be totally sold on it because I would need to experience it for that to happen (traveling from Michigan to California for a haunted house just isn't going to happen). But I'm very happy that they are involving guests with different things. ^ I would guess anywhere between 2-6 based on other haunted houses, if this one is similar. Because of the interaction I would say no more then 6, but you never know. The "interactive" haunted house near here (also my favorite) called The Realm Of Darkness I think limits groups to 6 people each.
  3. I'm on Firefox (Mac) and I can only see the first one.
  4. ^That's good that your friends are ok with it, it's always nice to have a good support system (all my friends have been cool with it too and its helped immensely). Like everyone has been saying, give it a year or 2 for all the assholes, most people will stop being so stupid (I say most, not all). Like Dr. Suess said "Be who you are, say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."!
  5. Having not read all the pages of the thread I was just wondering if anyone has said Michigans Adventure. I hate to say it but the park is slowly dying, while they did add Thunderhawk this year it didn't get attendance up that much. It's already been said but SFKK is my other guess. Went this summer and all rides were a walk on all day, and we went in late July which should be one of the busier times for a park. However, their waterpark is somewhat promising, having just recently added Deluge (AWESOME!) and having a few other good slides, it could be what saves the park.
  6. Tessellate - Tokyo Police Club
  7. Bones - The Killers
  8. ^Agreed... awesome, I'm going to be extremely jealous if you took that picture.
  9. I'll see what I can do for a Michigan one, might be a day or 2 however.
  10. Number Three, Never Forget - The Devil Wears Prada
  11. Shameless - All Time Low
  12. The horizontal shots are available in 1200x800 size from my Flickr page -- view a photo and click the All Sizes button above it. These should stretch to desktop size without too much degradation. If there's enough interest, I could upload one or two of the most popular photos in a larger size. Interest, specifically the Cedar Point ones if you could
  13. It just kinda sunk in that I'm going to the Sigur Ros concert tomorrow, I'm SOOO psyched!!!
  14. Re: Stacks by Bon Iver
  15. If someone married the Eiffel Tower, can I marry pictures? I'm in love.
  16. ^Great song, im psyched to see them live in a few months. L'Via L'Viaquez - The Mars Volta, I freaking LOVE this song!!!
  17. Ooo I'm super jealous, I love sky wheels! I have memories of me as a kid riding one over and over and over and over . I wish more were still around cause they're fun rides! Great TR, its a nice change to see a fair TR.
  18. Hmm I like this thread. The most popular one thats extremely close to me is Erebus. Erebus is known as the "Worlds Largest Haunted House" and it definetely is. 4 stories tall, it usually takes me and my group about 45 minutes - an hour to get through. I need confirmation on this but I believe that there are actually 6 different ways to go through the house itself. Heres a little blurb from Erebus' website: "Erebus was founded by Ed and Jim Terebus, 25 year veterans of the Haunt Industry. Erebus opened it's doors in 2000 and has gained national recognition as being one of the top haunts as well as earning the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest walk-through haunted attraction in the world. Erebus leads it's victims through four stories of unique and terrifying paths with fear so intense some call it PAIN!" www.hauntedpontiac.com While Erebus may be the largest, the best one IMHO is The Realm of Darkness, which is conveniently located right down the road. While not the biggest or voted the best, its by far the scariest and my personal favorite haunted house. There were multiple scares (and by multiple i mean more then i can count on one hand) that had me on the ground cause they scared me so much. Again, a blurb from the website (and you have to watch the intro on the website): "For the 2008 Halloween Season The Realm of Darkness is challenging you to defeat the Wizard and win DOUBLE your money back! That's double your admission price if you can find all the clues and choose the right paths throughout the haunt you will face the Wizard and claim your prize! Can you solve the mystery? "Do you hear them? The voices are calling; join us, and The Realm of Darkness will let you answer. Are you ready? Are you brave enough for the wizards challenge? Your quest beckons, come, step across the creaking drawbridge and immerse yourself into the crumbling castles eerie darkness. Be warned! Only the bravest souls will find their way to the wizard; those who do will receive double their money back, I repeat, DOUBLE your money back. The Realm of Darkness is an interactive haunted house.Come, journey back to medieval times, travel through Deadwood Forest and defeat the wizard. The challenge summons you, ignore that little voice of reason screaming for mercy inside your head. Let the shadows swallow you, and remember...all hope of sanity is left behind at, The Realm of Darkness." Like the blurb says it's an interactive haunted house, where you have to find 3 things along the way, then "defeat the wizard" (note: I've never gotten all three items, let alone defeated the wizard so i dont know what that entails) and you get double your money back. Honestly though, I was too scared to even try and get the items. http://www.therealmofdarkness.com From the Realm of Darkness. Behind those doors was quite possibly the greatest scare I've ever experienced in a haunted house. Although, when I went through that was pretty close to pitch black. Here's my good friend the Jaw's of Death, him and I got very close last time I was at Erebus.
  19. Lots of exciting events coming up! Next Tuesday I'm going to a Sigur Ros concert, then going to a MASSIVE haunted house in a few weeks. I also planned my trip for Halloweekends for mid October! And overall I'm just in a damn good mood .
  20. ^Thanks. The height issue really isn't an issue for me, and it really shouldn't be for you in Florida. It's not like I'm going off-roading any time soon, maybe some rallies though . The back seat is.... yeah reserved for very small people only (ESPECIALLY behind the driver), 99.9% of the time its storage. But on a rare occasion I'll fit someone behind the passenger and have the passenger move up. You can fit two people there if you try and its not uncomfortable in the back seat... I just wouldn't keep em there for any extended period of time (say more then a 1/2 hour).
  21. ^Yeah I have to agree, I mean I've gotten use to the look of the Clubman, but PLEASE DEAR GOD don't make that! If you make a SUV with a Mini look its just going to look fake. Mini's are called Mini's for a reason!!! P.S Heres my car/love. Go Mini! No Clubman or S version for me.
  22. Teachers and school in general just plain suck! I have had more homework then I've ever had before, and its just the 3rd week of school for me. Its like... teachers think that their class is the ONLY class we have. Now I realize that trying to coordinate with other teachers for every student is impossible, but 6 hours of homework per night is also impossible. If your a teacher and you're reading this JUST ASSIGN LESS HOMEWORK. You always wonder why we complain so much, its because we have a TON! These past six weeks 70% of my time has been homework, 10% after school activities, 5% chores, which leaves 5% of my time for stuff that I want to do. 5% of one day is... about 2 and a half hours, and thats on the weekends. Monday - Friday we have 0% to do what we want cause school takes up most of our lives, and then we have to go home and still do stuff for school. The only break from school I've gotten in the past 3 weeks is sleeping, and a few times on the weekends, oh and driving to and from school if that counts. To all teachers: We have lives, even if you think we don't. Let us have some fun instead of doing work for your class!
  23. Yup, collar bone. Do you find Cedar Points (and most parks) ride rating system completely ridiculous?
  24. I know when im making a trip to Cedar Point next year, holy no lines batman! Nice TR!
  25. ^ You beat me to it, that's exactly what i was wondering. I mean, one or 2 screaming girls yelling "help me" is ok for an entire haunted house, but I can't see one that's based around it. As a closet Haunted House enthusiast, I can either see this being really awesome, or absolutely terrible. Right now I'm leaning towards the latter. I mean the movies weren't... scary... they were just gory as all hell. If that's what they're trying to base an entire haunted house around then I can see more people getting sick then scared. On the other hand, if they make this interactive, where people actually ARE the victims, that could be interesting. It would take some skill to pull off (and probably a waiver or two), but if done right it could be a really great haunted house. I've always wanted to see a really interactive haunted house like that (i.e. the HHN ultimate scare house or whatever it was being called).
