January 9, 2010 - Winter Bash ___________________________________ Winter Bash or WB, was a small meet up for a closer group of us TPR'ers who just couldn't wait till SFGAm's opening day to see each other again. The players: Me, Cameron, Jo, Griffin, Jeremie, and my friends Averi and Leah who joined us for tobogganing. The game plan: First we all met at my place and we waited for Jo whom was running late. Then we headed out to Takara. A BOSSOME hibachi grill restaurant! The chef was crazy and yelled out "YooHoo!" about every seven second's, and the food was pretty amazing to. After that we headed to downtown Milwaukee to stop at Discovery World. It was pretty cool and we thoroughly enjoyed Shocking each other and Jo being scared to cross the "Fish Bridge". Then to satisfy our adrenalin needs as Coaster enthusiast we headed over to the toboggan run at Whitnall Park. If you haven't seen my video I made before look down below. It was crazy fun and some of us have some nice battle wounds. We then ended the day with dinner at my place, eating bubbles, and a session of Yo Gabba Gabba. Over all it was an AMAZING day and I can't wait to see you guys again! And now PHOTOS: So there's this magnet board in my room... Apparently while we were at my house Cameron without me noticing. Was able to write out this without me noticing, and after he left he told me to go look for the message he left in my room. Night time rides on the Toboggan run were AWESOME! I like fish, I like fish...I like fish, I like fish! "I've always wondered what an urban runoff looked like..." "I'm on a BOAT" Griffin get's ERT on the bed of nails. Then we discover I could have saved 15$ by switching to Geico.... I make an Important phone call... Acid trip? Pretty walls!! Griffy Tiffy DISCOVERS Hey there, you wanna touch my gears? And.... After Before the surgery I want the marble!!! Father griffin try's to do the same in a more "un-noticeable" way. Jeremie Is concentrating on my awesomeness Jo in deep concentration... "YooHoo!" Is it love? or is it Takara?

This is my forum to cover my 2010 season! [sFGAm will still be in it's own thread] There will be PTR's of parks, or any of my shindigs with fellow TPR members! The Reports: Busch Gardens Tampa [ Jan. 4,2010 ] Winter Bash [ Jan. 9, 2010 ] The Surprise [April 17, 2010] Holiwood Nights [ Jun. 6,2010 ] Indiana Beach [ Jun. 13,2010 ] Germany Trip [ Jun. 28- Jul. 14, 2010] _____________________________________ Busch Gardens Tampa Jan. 4,2010 It was a great little day at one of my favorite parks by far. Got their early in the morning and the crowds were very light. Pretty much all the rides were walk on except for Sheikra, and remained that way for the rest of my stay. Re-rides on Montu and Kumba were great, but I couldn't stay as long as I wanted and had to leave around 4:50 P.M. My ride opinions: [and ride counts] Gwazi Tiger: [1] Not as rough as people say, and kinda fun. 6/10 Sheikra: [1] Still a fun little ride and the drop is still great! 8.5/10 Kumba: [5] This ride has gotten smoother than it use to be and I think I can easily say it's in my top three coasters now! 10/10 Scorpion: [1] A fun little ride with those great Schwarzkopf transitions and some nice forces. 8.5/10 Montu: [4] A great smooth ride and that Batwing seriously packs some strong G's! 9/10 Pheonix: [1] An ok little flat if you can get over the pain. 5.5/10 Rhino Rally: [1] Also pretty decent, the driver seemed pretty funny and into his job 6/10 Sky Ride: [1] Jungala: [ ] A nice little addition, Was surprisingly a fun little area. 8.5/10 Photo's_______ I then rode Montu a few times... took some photos and stuff. Then one last ride on Kumba and it was time to say goodbye. :[ Happy faces all around? ...I think so! Helix of death =D Schwarzkopf love!!!! KUMBA! ... and foreign people! I think about 60% of the people there were visiting from out of the country. It was crazy! There are these passages that you can crawl through and as you see above, even under the aquarium! Giant frog hopper anyone? Jungala was pretty good actually.... My bros, Taylor is doing his "Restraint checker" impression... There are bad messes, and good messes. This is a good mess. Um...."Skloosh!" ? RUN!!! It's the Florida FROST! This is something that will continue to repeat it's self through the day =D Starting off the day with Gwazi.

For Christmas: - My HP Laptop that over heated all the time finally died [only two years old], and I got a MacBook! - Two sweaters that were to big so I got to exchange them. - Zoo York hoodie - Owl City T-shirt - Instant snow - Weird stuffed animal - And stuff from brothers as well as a visit UpNorth to see my awesome family!

As they say... Always better to resurrect a dead thread than to create a new one! In to off-season I go out to different toboggan runs around the area to keep up with my adrenalin needs. And for those of you who haven't seen one. Here is a video that I took earlier this week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIEbTi62LGI

kumba830 replied to mattnmatt's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I had a pretty decent ride going on, but my PC crashed and I switched to Mac. Thus I did not have NL available to complete it. Sorry I couldn't get my entry in! -
Switching to NL for Mac.

Ok so I need to update this But, Apparently I need 1.6 to update it to 1.7 and I only have 1.58. (BTW I did try up dating it but it simply won't work!.) As well as the fact I cannot find the 1.6 update... -
How did you end up here???
kumba830 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was bored at a hotel like six years ago, so I hopped on the computer in the lobby and Googled "roller coasters". I wasn't into theme parks at all back then! [and I was super young] I just browsed around for the first few years, forgetting a few pass words, and rarely posting. But two years ago I started to get active and in the chat I first met Cameron. We talked more and more, then in the beginning of this summer I finally met him and Matt at the Buccaneer Battle Media Day[sFGAm]. Since then I have become great friends with him, Griffin, Jo, Jeremie, and a few others. I'm so glad I was bored out of my mind that one day! -

Would have never have thought of something like that! But If you make the ride a bit longer it could be pretty cool. Like a few hills or something. -

Innovation [NL]
kumba830 replied to kumba830's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^HaHa! Really? Can you tell me what the file name is, and the color of the track? -
Isn't it still a bit early to make such large assumptions? In my opinion, its usually worse to assume and be disappointed, than never to assume at all... Screamscape is also making these "assumptions" and backing them up with pictures of what appear to be Chang being unloaded at SFGAM. http://screamscape.com/html/six_flags_great_america.htm Since when are Screamscapes assumptions ever correct?

Innovation [NL]
kumba830 replied to kumba830's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ Pretty much, because I started the ride when I first got NL, then dumped the idea. But about 5 months ago I decided to fix it up and finish the rest of it(but I can also be very slow in making my rides) -
You all might remember my NL project "Innovation". I started working on it about a year ago and have been posting little progress shots here and there. Well, It's almost done! I just need to do a bit of tweaking here and there before I release it. So, enjoy the preview!
