Looks like they've done a great job with this ride but what's with the platform under the lift?none of the other SLC's have that.

More laps on Dominator & the additions of Americana & El Dorado to the grove midway. I'm also looking forward to KD's rumored 2010 hyper as well.

Nice,I wonder if they'll work on the three existing vekoma flyers? This new design would really cut the load/dispatch times for Firehawk,Batwing & Nighthawk substantially.

What's up with that car from Vekoma? it looks sort of like a new version of the flyer cars that B&M use complete with ankle flaps.

I'll actually enjoy Americana more mainly for the various photo ops the ride will provide.

I belive Dorney & WOF have had them for their recent flat ride installations & didn't CP have one for planet snoopy construction coverage?

I could see SF or CF buying a set of these in the future for some of their "rougher" woodies (cough Hurler & Roar east cough cough).

Yeah I read about the 2009 additions to KD being confirmed on the CF homepage this morning,I wonder why Black Squid wasn't included? Still Americana & El Dorado will look sweet on HS:XLC's former spot next season......now if they'll just bring on the web cam for those off-season construction & ride re-painting updates.

I think you misread that. It means it's being repainted the same red and teal. Well they could do what SFA did & repaint ME in yellow(track),orange(structure).Purple is not the color used for primer,most primers used for coaster painting are white & not purple.

Well it looks like they got rid of the ear flaps that many of the US installations have so that's somewhat of an improvement.

Nahh,what I heard was that the park didn't have a PR manager so they couldn't afford to install a webcam at the time & let coastercrew provide the updates as a result.

Anyone think we'll see a webcam added to the park's homepage during the off season? I was so disappointed that the park didn't have one to cover the Dominator construction during the 07 off season while the other CF parks had webcam construction coverage of their new for 08 projects.

I was quite suprised to see that Togo manufactured flats such as the enterprise knock offs,not to mention some of the other flats in their brochure. Is is just me or does the whole transverser shown on that stand up seem kind of pointless? Either way a train has to wait behind,or in this c ase beside the other train while it is loading so it would only seem to increase the load time especially if mechanical difficulties develop with the switch track.

Poor Rebel Yell, that thing has needed a paint job for awhile now. It has been confirmed already that RY will recieve a new coat of paint for 09 but what it needs in addition to that is some major track work,especially on that big drop just before the pullout into the far turn because it was jackhammering like crazy last time I rode it back in july.

Why waste cap ex money replacing perfectly good paths? I don't mind the asphalt at all & it could be worse....they could be dirt paths which as we all know turn into a virtual mud pit in the rain.

^^No,it's just SFI's excuse to say "we're broke & can't add any new rides so we'll just retheme/rename an existing ride & pass it off as new" when they could easily put in a less expensive ride instead.

I swear Shockwave's color scheme makes me want to puke whenever I enter that section of the park.

No,but it sure helps improve the look of the general area of the park in which a given ride is located.

Manta's track color looks to be more akin to the supports on Kraken while Griffon's shade of blue resembles DF's color scheme but you've gotta give the AB parks credit for the choice of colors they use on their ride projects when compared to SF & most noteably CF these days....that & the AB parks actually put forth the big bucks needed to really theme their rides well when compared to the competition.

Not a chance in a certain hot place,although a ride like Jester with the trains facing forward would be a decent addition but they'll probably ship that one off to SFM along with DK from SFNE. So much for the rumors from a year ago RE:SFNO's tower complex being given to SFA to replace TOD as it's going to TGE for the 09 season.

Ghoster coaster's paint job is fine it's Shockwave that needs a new color scheme much more than any steel coaster in the park because that blue/orange/green color scheme they've currently got going is just butt ugly. I actually like Anaconda's red/yellow paint job more than the original green/orange....it took a little while for me to do so however.

Where did you here this? Screamscape mentioned it today,also if you look on the Q&A page on KDfansite there may be additional info about it.

SFI doesn't even own DK so they can't put it up for sale,along with SFOG & SFOT.They can sell any of their other parks but the above mentioned three.
