Need advice on Knoebels food
knowit replied to Myself's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
FUNNEL CAKES! FUNNEL CAKES! FUNNEL CAKES! Don't forget the funnel cakes! also, over near down draft is a stand that sells beleenies! AKA Potato Pancakes. Delish! Sometimes you can get a shrimp basket for under 10 bucks at the international food court and you get A LOT of food. The food court also has daily specials so check them out. Finish it all off with Ice Cream at the Old Mill. -
And you won't sound like someone who thinks they are above everyone else here because you think you are on a higher level of conciseness. Jazz doesn't suck, it's just misunderstood. To be able to play all those caotic notes and still keep a time signature takes incredible skill.

Hersheypark Springtime in the Park
knowit replied to Jman0477's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They found cracks in some of the Fahrenheit Trains that needed to be addresses. Some of StormRunners cars are the same way. They took a trip to Switzerland for some up keep! -

Rob, I was one of the Nantimi 11 and I was there the morning that it valleyd. Did they say how they were heating the wheels? Blow dryers? Geo thermal volcanic ash? Putting the water dummies on the ride early in the morning? Any clue? Just curious -

Sitting in the back seat of Sidewinder at Hershey Park, I would always almost black out going through the loop while going backwards. I sat there on purpose just so that would happen! I guess I'm totally backwards. -

It's obvious the ride is "complete". We also know that Dick Knoebel likes his toys to run the way he likes! I believe that he is a perfectionist when it comes to building his coasters, and I think the results speak for themselves! (Phoenix and Twister anyone?) -

I was at knoebels this past weekend! We had a blast and good news-_Flying Turns was testing! I saw it running. I spoke to an older employee (he's worked there for 30 years). he explained to me that the issues with the train are no longer safety, but comfort. The train does not run as smooth as they would like it too. He also said that they are making progress with it. Am I the only one who didn't know this thing has 3 lift hills? I always thought it had 2. There are 2 lifts after leaving the station. When the ride enters the break run, it enters another lift to return to the station. -
I can hardly see these people suing the park. it may happen, but if they were true Christians, they wont sue. The park did nothing wrong. They're 17 old son (who probably has his drivers license) JUMPED A RESTRICTED FENCE INTO THE PATH OF A COASTER! He broke the law by tresspassing in a restricted area. Where I live you have to have a fence around your pool. This is to protect people from getting in your pool withiout your permission. It also protects YOU from lawsuits because you have to concisely make a decision to go over the fence. This kid did the same thing. It ended badly. I also disagree about naming the kid a "Victim" of an accident. The only victim here is Six Flags. The only way this kid is a victim is if he's a victim of his own stupidity.

Just because this kid was with a "Christian" Group does not mean he himself was a Christian. Churches do outreaches like this sometimes tfor the community. Who knows what this kids background is and for people to outright say that the "christians" are the worst groups out there is like me saying all muslims are terrorists.

Hersheypark Announces Fahrenheit!
knowit replied to Meteornotes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Fahrenheit is definitely a better coaster than Storm Runner. Not that SR is bad, it's excellent. The launch is intense and smooth, the flying snake dive if my favorite element of ALL time. But while Fahrenheit lacks this, it makes up in negative droppiness, Norwegian loop scrumpciousness, the smoothest cobra I've ever been on and quite a bit of air time. The G's at the bottom of the Norwegian loop are fantastic as well. If I had my choice between the 2? Fahrenheit--_Straight Up
