PTR: Jahan goes to Disneyland!
hifalling replied to arrowfanman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for the P:TR Jahan! Again, it is nice to get a level-headed honest report about the park! Glad that you enjoyed Screamin' so much! I hope that you have the opportunity to ride a train with better audio in the near future! Again thanks for paying attention to the details! chuck -

What a great way to end the photo tr of all photo tr's! It was great going along for the ride...I am glad that you enjoyed yourself...and thanks for the kind words about the resort...sometimes it is disheartening to hear some of the negative feedback about the resort, but reading your honest point of view is very refreshing! Take care, and see you at the parks! chuck "making dreams come true" garcia

Robb, Elissa, Jew, and Jahan Go Bowling
hifalling replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
HAHAHAH! SO MUCH FUN! It's the jokes that arise when bowling that make it fun! CLASSIC TR! -
I disagree...I dont think it is silly at all, The dreams gift giving, is going to be, like all other Disney projects, well thought-out and planned. At some level it will be a random gift give away, and will remain something that is a "surprise", something "unexpected" which is what the campaign is all about.

California Screamin' - LIM or LSM?

Must See and Must Do @ Disneyland and DCA?
hifalling replied to coastered's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Glad to see that you are coming to visit us at the resort. Just a quick tip about fast pass: Grizzly River Run, Disneyland and the other fast pass attractions at DCA are on 3 different computer systems, so technically you could get a Fastpass at Disneyland, a Fastpass for Grizzly River Run, and another Fastpass attraction at DCA all at the same time. I would recommend getting one for Soarin' since it books up pretty quickly. Madness and Screamin' dont usually have a very long line, but if they do check out single rider. Screamin is going down for a couple of days in September for remodification for the new attraction coming to the Pier. I hope we are up and running when you visit. Like Robb said, contact me before you actually visit! chuck -
HAHAHAH! This is true! I love when people don't pull down their restraint either! And just sit there, it kinda sucks! chuck :O)
-
Ok here it goes! I can speak for CA Screamin and Madness! We HAVE to PULL on every single restraint before we send a train, Soooo, it is virtually impossible to not have restraints checked before a dispatch. Our Dispatch cast member watches that both cast members on either side of the train check restraints before sending the train. At other coasters like Madness and Space, we are expected to ask our guests to push up on their restraints. These regulations are in place thanks to DOSH. I have noticed at SFMM on the coasters that have more complicated restraints (ie. X, Tatsu!) the restraint check is much more rigorous, and have several places to check for security. But that is pretty much the skinny on restraint checking at our Disney Coasters! Any questions?

Hey Wrebbit, You know what?! SFMM is a cool park, yeah it has its problems, but I go to the park with no expectations, but I do have a season pass, and only live about 45 minutes away. If I spent tons of money to travel cross country, I might have higher expectations. Just know that improvements have been made...are continuing to be made...but they are small...if you have the opportunity, visit the park with a "chill" & "relaxed" attitude, and somehow the park is more enjoyable. Also...being happy is hard work...if you want to be happy with something...expect to do some work...my friends and I, we work hard to keep eachother happy, by cracking jokes, people watching, and being goofy! We always have fun no matter where we are! hope to see you at the park! chuck :o)

Thanks Coaster, I hope to be able to give more Photo TR's. Take care! chuck :o)

Hey Jahan, We had such a great time at the park. We didnt get on Atom Smasher, but I was happy to see it running, Congrats on the Lead position. I was just promoted to lead in the Route 66 area at Paradise Pier. We will be coming back again soon! If you ever come to DCA, make sure to hit me up! chuck :O)

So, the summer season is in its final leg at the Disneyland Resort and three Attraction's CM's found themselves with a day off, two season passes, and a free admission ticket to SFMM...the answer was clear. ROAD TRIP! Our day started at five in the morning rowing canoe's in wonderful GREEN water in Disney's Annual CM Canoe Races, but we traded in our oars for car keys, and in a flash we were cruising down I-5 in the ever-so-popular Rush Hour Traffic. We arrived in the picturesque city of Valencia around 10:30 and with our season pass coupon book in hand we were ready to tackle the park. The parking lot was looking like it was filling up nicely, but we got a nice parking spot near Colossus's "Non-Existant" Double-Dip-Break-Zone-Contraption. As we approached the main entrance we were met by the LOVELY and AMAZING ELISSA ALVEY, who guided us through the entrance and hooked us up with some FastLane/ FlashLane thingamabobs. WE WERE EVER SO GRATEFUL! THANKS AGAIN ROBB AND ELISSA (thats like 30 thank-yous by now). We bid farewell to Elissa and began our day in the park. Although the entrance looked busy, the park (I thought) was pretty empty for the summer season (Kinda like California Adventure is all the time). We were STOKED! We quickly ran up the Rev Fastlane entrance and took the short cut to the top of the hill (Something I recommend to everyone reading this TR, but don't use it when i am there! hehehe) With our Flashy things in hand we searched for the quick entrance to Tatsu. The line was about 90 minutes long. We were sooo glad to pass that up and head up the Fast lane. Tatsu was just as I remembered it from the media event, just not as clean, and in the daylight. This would be Alicia and Michelle's first time riding, needless to say they LOVED IT! Having our main attraction under our belt, we decided to tackle the rest of the park. We were happy to see all the coasters, except X, running two train operation making wait times virtually nill. I was finally able to get my Deja Vu credit, almost six years worth of visits later. The weather was beautiful, the guests in the park were not annoying, the employees seemed to be working efficiently, no major delays, and only one employee on a cell phone, and it wasn't at an attraction which made me very happy! We ended our day at 1700 hours by riding Tatsu 3 times in a row, i could barely contain myself. All in all I would say that this was one of the best trips to Magic that I have had in quite a long time. Tomorrow we head back to operate Screamin', Madness, and Grizzle, but we will not forget the AWESOME day we had at Six Flags Magic Mountain. If you ever visit us at Cal Adventure, please say hi! Come visit us at Cal. Adventure... Thanks for bearing with us..."PEACE OUT TPR!" And I said goodbye to a wonderful day at SFMM...We heart you Magic Mountain...please stick around...and for everyone else... After we did Tatsu 3 times in a row...we were fried...so we left the park...said goodbye to Tatsu and Rev... "PEACE-OUT X!" See ya next time...Back to Tatsu... 2 HOUR WAIT!!! ONE TRAIN OPERATION... This used to be my favorite inversion...not-so-much anymore...sorry Viper... Remember...when this was "Xtreme!", Oh how we have grown! Wishes....Dreams Come True! Poof! Last shot of Goliath from Colossus...and then off to Viper and X... Here is the world-renowned helix...I had a hard time keeping my cam up... Goliath ran well, Alicia got some decent airtime here... NEW SPONSORSHIP! YAY! GO A&E! Goliath was next...it was good...but...something looked different... Scream decided to take a bite outta my A$$! I couldn't believe it...good thing my day is almost over...sorry folks...i know you didnt want to see that...keep scrolling down...nothing to see here... Scream was also a walk-on...the SFMM employees were very efficient at this attraction, we were impressed...but then... Scream is taunting us while riding Colossus... Colossus was a walk-on even though they were only running the black side. Michelle did not like the lift... ...with crossed eyed ceramic moose...(sorry Elissa no rodents)...NEXT UP COLOSSUS! Our longest wait of the day...I swear...but we kept ourselves amused... Where have I seen this pic before...oh yeah ...EVERYWHERE...a clone for a clone...off to MOOSE for lunch! Batman was pretty much a walk-on still intense, still fast...still my fave invert in CA... I have not seen guests on ACME in a long time. EXCELLENT SFMM! Lots of flats in action today! YAY...side-diveloop! Riddler was running two trains...Nice! But, we still used our Flashy thingamabobs! On the way to Riddler we notice that Freefall is just "chillin'" mid-lift...don't see that everyday... unless you work for SFMM... I heart you Gold Rusher! One of my first coasters ever...this is where the real magic began...I try to ride everytime I go to SFMM... YAY! I got my Deja Vu Credit! BTW it was worth the wait! My day is complete! Just Kidding! Off to the next coaster... THEY DID "PEACE-OUT!" and this is the closest I have ever come to riding this crazy attraction! Hoping people will "Peace-Out!" and make our wait time shorter.... DARN YOU CRAZY DEJA VU!!! DARN YOU VEKOMA!!! I SHAKE MY FIST AT YOU!!! WHAT!!!? As always...Technical Difficulties! Let's wait-it-out! I need the credit! Next, over to Deja Vu! YAY! It's working! I HOPE to FINALLY get my credit. Tatsu Stay! Good Tatsu! Tatsu Roll Over! Tatsu lie down! Tatsu Sit up! Alicia, Me, and Michelle enjoying our five minute wait for TATSU!!! Past the metal detectors, up the hill! Dang Look at that Line! Suckers! So we get to the gate, to see what's running! Not looking soooo bad! TATSU! TATSU!

Matt Ouimet (DLR President) Resigns
hifalling replied to mb425's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
WOW...^Was that Joey!? He is very right. Alot of changes in the resort have caused some bad blood in the Cast Members and upper management. I dont think it was all Ouimet's fault. I know in attractions we have been struggling to keep good CM's, even not so good ones (but all cm's are good!), and we have one of the better contracts in the park. chuck -
