What rank did you make it to in Boy Scouts?
Chris Benvenuto replied to Kennyweird's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ those shorts are no longer used, thank god and now Boy Scouts is something you have to respect again. I seriously need to have a talk with the comissioner or official responsible for allowing that exact peice of clothing into a boy's organization. I do admit, I did wear them ONCE. NEVER AGAIN. I think after 2004-2005 they banned the things or stop allowing them being in use after 5-10 years. -
Another question I have for everyone: What is your opinion on people who bandwagon when teams start to win? Believe me, my opinion is not TPR friendly in terms of vocab I have to use. SO, I'll save everyone the explanation. Unless, I edit it

I'm Eagle. Well, I didn't do National Jamboree due to the Alaskan dads passing away, I almost did it but I was freaking out due to that accident and was worried about homesickness to at that for when I went and I ended up not going at ALL. I've done Florida Sea Base, Philmont and Northern Tier up in Minnesota. And now, being 18 I'm an assistant Scoutmaster for our troop! W00T But just like someone said in this thread, Eagle TAKES alooonnnggg time folks, a lonnnngggg time!! -
^ yeah, yeah. I don't tend to be at all very negative, but really the Yankees have had their very long turn at being the World Series Kings. As much as the Yankees are successful and that being a good thing, isn't it time for some other teams with smaller amounts of titles to take some of the limelight? But, when A-Rod admitted that about the steroid case, and his use of them in the past my sense of RESPECT for him increased alot then what respect I had for him in the past (which, wasn't too good ). I like players who are HONEST and admit they MADE mistakes in the past. Kudos to A-Rod for that very respectful and bold move!

Well, it's that time again where the Spring Training games have started today and the road to the regular season begins!! My questions are: What do you expect from your hometown or favorite team this year? How do you think the summer will treat your team or players? How will the Pennant Races go this year? What did you think of your team's offseason transactions this winter? My thoughts (for my Tigers): Well, they did what they needed to do when it came to filling roster spots this year. With Granderson being out for the WBC and representing Team USA in it this year, we have a small problem of him not being with Detroit for 4 of 5 spring training weeks and not getting as many at bats as we'd like with him in center field this Spring. As for September, I have to say and wait for April and May to fill out and see where we stand there. It's too early to tell with the September races. Summer's going to be ALOT of fun this year, the Tigers have a promising lineup this year and I think we'll be able to turn 2009 around in our favor. Maybe we'll see October and maybe we'll just having a winning season, I dunno, but either way June, July and August will BE alot of FUN this year. I expect alot out of Maggs, Miguel and Laird this year. Not to mention Adam Everett, he's looking promising after today's game in Lakeland providing an RBI to help the Tigers to an opening win 5-4. All I can say for now, but I wish ALL teams and their fans the BEST of luck for this interesting and exciting 2009 season. Hope you all have some thoughts and discussions to share with this upcoming 2009 season! 32 days till Opening Day vs. Toronto for Detroit in Toronto, and 36 days until our Home opener against the Texas Rangers! Well, everyone, Let the DISCUSSION begin!!

Well, not to drive the point and to make it sound like I'm a jerk. I post from school, like I am now and as crappy as the keyboards are here I can see if I'm in CAPS or not. But, I can see the point if you can see what your doing I mean if you were distracted and hit post by mistake I can see that but....otherwise if you paying full attention I can't honestly see why you'd use that excuse. Just my 2 cents... not trying to be rude...

For Kennywood I recommend staying in Pittsburgh, because literally Pitt is about 20 mins away and really that's one of the better cities to stay in when going to Kennywood. Cedar Point has onsite hotels and an offsite resort for you to use, which I mean by having Hotel Breakers and Sandcastle Suites as good picks and offsite I mean Castaway Bay (which will allow you early entry as well ) I personally stayed at the Johnson Inn in Sandusky last summer for a 2 day stay with my brother and they had really good rooms plus a small bowling alley and indoor waterpark. Hopes this helps you out in your hotel search good sir!

WOW. Very good work, very good goal of working without CS because if I had done this it'd be alot more work for me and it'd take alot more for me to get it finished. Very nice work! -
Sizzlers are the reason why I AVOID scrambler rides now, I get wayyy too much whiplash from them and I usually get off the ride with a really sore and stiff neck. I will ride a normal Eli scrambler from time to time, but these things have seriously turned me off from riding them. I look at Cedar Point's and even shiver, just due to bad experiences with these Sizzler's.

Happy Birthday TPR can't believe it's been four years already!!! -
Am I the only one who found that survey really long and boring? I mean, I answered their questions honestly. But dang, IMO a survey should take 5-15 minutes not a half hour like it took me. And if you sign up for the Advisory Board, it takes even LONGER to finish this survey. But, if I get more tickets, I'll all for it.

Six Flags May Not Survive 2009...
Chris Benvenuto replied to sfmmrules!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hasn't Six Flags been in trouble since 2006? because I know they were having problems with stock and money related issues. But haven't they've bee in debt for about 2-4 years? Just a thought. -
To add to my MLB themed Happiness Pie post, the reason why my title says "I hate the Tigers" is because I'm a Tigers fan and the Title Fairy didn't quite agree with my hometown team Go Tigers, here's to 2009 boys! It's time again to have another playoff contending run!!

Spring training for the 2009 MLB season is just around the corner, and I'm excited for it. 6 days until Pitchers/Catchers report and then about 1 1/2 weeks until full squad reports. God, I can't wait for warmer weather+Baseball. Hooray for Spring 2009! Can't wait!

Ballparks! Your favorite/least favorite?
Chris Benvenuto replied to CoasterEricHP's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've been to the former Three Rivers Stadium and Tiger Stadium. Modern day, I've been to Comerica Park and PNC Park. I really don't like Comerica all that much, it took alot of charm out of watching the Tigers play. -
