  1. There are enough blocks for 3 trains after my station, and the stations are both 6 units long.
  2. I was watching some videos and looking at pictures of the Thriller, and I got inspired to build a Schwarzkopf portable SCR18.BMP Layout SCR19.BMP And the stats. This is one of my favorite coasters I have ever built! It was so fun to make.
  3. So I spent most of today (well, technically yesterday) at the park, and I noticed X Flight was having a bit of a bad day. Earlier in the afternoon, the ride was stuck on the lift (and when it finally got going, I noticed the train was empty, so I assume people were up there for a while and needed to be evacuated). Later in the day, we headed over to take a ride, but it was broken down again. I took a spin on Buccaneer Battle, and by then X Flight was open again, so we got in line. As we got to the second set of switchbacks, by the water (which, by the way, was firing as the train went through the keyhole, and only sprayed water about a foot high), the ride broke down for a third time. Once it was fixed, we went through the rest of the line, (the set of switchbacks near the station were not being used) and finally made it up the the station, on the left side. Unfortunately, it broke down for a FOURTH time, which ended up with the black train being removed from the circuit. After waiting for the back row, and riding, we realized we had waited nearly 2 hours to ride Thankfully, the time passed by quick. Has X Flight been having frequent breakdowns such as this recently, or did I just catch it on an off day? I was at the park Monday the 9th and it didn't seem to be having any problems. It just seemed odd for the ride to be having so much trouble all of a sudden.
  4. Looked like a ton of fun! I haven't been to IB yet this year, and I just can't let an IB trip pass me by
  5. 2003: 1 2006: 4 2007: 23 2008: 14 2009: 18 2010: 16 2011: 24 2012: 21 Total: 121 Looks like 2011 was my big year, unless I get to a new park this year
  6. I just built something BIG. REAL big. SCR17.BMP
  7. These photo's make me miss X Flight. I haven't ridden it in over 24 hours! Also, I wish you were cool enough to go the day before for X Flight's actual opening day. Maybe next time we get a new ride
  8. That's totally true! It doesn't have many things other parks do, like shows and more than one indoor restaurant.
  9. Looks awesome Sam! I love the forest atmosphere. You pulled it off very well. The layout looks unique too, keep it up!
  10. I am the sexiest mountain goat ever. Great report as always Nathan, I can't wait to see the next one. Also, I can't wait to go back to SFSTL to ride Reverse Blast
  11. My 100th ride on Batman at SFGAm was a solo ride. It was bizarre!
  12. My three picks are... NASCAR Driver Kevin Harvick NASCAR Driver Martin Truex Jr. NASCAR Driver Clint Bowyer
  13. For my next pick, I'll go with NASCAR driver Greg Biffle! (I gotta stop picking the Roush guys. I've never been a fan of them )
  14. Great photos! But, last year the Whizzer was Biohazard during Fright Fest. It had a pretty sweet sign too, if I might add! If someone could post a picture of it, that would be great.
  15. This park looks great! The American Flag under Revolution is a great idea, and executed nicely.
  16. I'm going with 8 duckies! That one was very difficult But it's fun as always!
  17. I'm picking NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth for my first pick. Go 17!
  18. Sorry Jo! I fixed it Alright, now it's time for my take on Coasting for Kids at Michigan's Adventure! When I first heard about this years event in March, I knew I had to participate. You can't think of a more fun charity event for a coaster enthusiast to partake in! Even though Thunderhawk was not the most butter smooth coaster to ride, I could not have had a more fun time. The park staff was enthusiastic and helpful, the food was good (chicken nuggets<3), and yoiu really can't go wrong with Shivering Timbers! Let's take a look.... Looks like we're in the right place! Pretend the music from Vacation when the Griswolds pull up to Walley World is playing. That's what it feels like when you pull up to see Shivering Timbers. It's pretty big. This is what roller coasters should look like. The day before the event, we went to the park so Nathan could ride all the coasters. This led to a sweet front row Big Dipper ride. We're cool. We were then promptly screwed. Now it's marathon time! First ride was Thunderhawk! About 10 rides in, we were still full of excitement! Well, at least I was yay! Then it was time for ST. After this, there were no more photos, so I'll just end it here. I would like to thank EVERYONE involved with this event and Give Kids the World for putting this on. I had a fantastic time, and hope to do it again next year. Thanks for reading!
  19. Alright guys, next up in the list of adventures is the St. Louis City Museum! This was the first day of a 3 day St. Louis trip back in April. I went with my dad, Nathan (kumba830), Jo (Jojo19799) Jon (deathbydinn), his mom, Cameron (Cameron), and his friend Jesse. Take a look at this place! Any place with dragons in the parking lot is cool in my book! Buses on the roof are just a bonus. This face is required when entering the museum. Then you get the gold star, and you're in! Boob credit! Nathan then cut off his leg. yay! High five for loss of limbs! Whoops, sorry, avert your eyes children! Big Brother is watching. I probably shouldn't have posted the photo of the peep show.... Randomness Meanwhile, in a ball pit.... Just to make sure we don't have TOO many drunk people roaming the area, they keep a chain on the fridge. The confusion of the place will get you drunk enough. Somehow. Whale. The new treehouse area features this. I don't remember what it is. But it looks like this. I'll just bring this to a close with this organ. Thanks for looking! Up next is Coasting for Kids!
  20. We'd totally love that! We may have to eat it through a tube, but it's still ice cream nonetheless!
  21. Ahh, memories I want to go back there just to do the basement vertical-ish slide. All day long. Can't wait for more reports! Griffin
