  1. ^Nah, we just wen't down there for the day to go to the park and come back to Orange VA. Which is where my grandparents live and where we stay.
  2. Wow this is awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product!
  3. "Beautiful Girls"- Sean Kingston
  4. Well, heres the Griffon fastpass story.... We got into the restaurant, ordered. And ended up waiting over an hour for our food. The waitress told us there were only 2 chefs working and they were overwhelmed. So we called the manager out and spoke with her. She ended up giving us the meal for free (which was over $100) and a walk on pass for Griffon. So then we left the restaurant and decided to go on the River Boat Tour and then go ride Griffon. Pics! We took the skyride over to Germany. This is the Griffon area.. Brake run and station of Griffon. I got good timing and got this shot of Alpengeist in its loop. When we walked down the HUGE hill to get to the boats I snagged this pic before getting on. Beautiful ride it was. Apollo. Airtime!11!!!!!1!!!one!! The drop into the helix/turnaround. We got off and people were feeding the turtles. This is two fighting over something... Swan. Another turtle, there were like over 20 turtles there. Is this like something I shouldn't show Derek?? LNM's drop provides some surprising airtime. Another interlocking pic. My favorite pic of Nessy. A little head bang here...but nothing painful. Well my little cousin was whining after this that she wanted to ride Pompeii....so we walked up the other side, which is 56 steps! And decided to take the train over....So we did, and drove right past it...cause my mom insisted that the station was right by Pompeii. Well we didn't wanna walk back to it, so we decided to just ride the train all the way to France to get on Griffon. Beautiful ride. I love how BGE uses this river....which is actually a lake... Clydesdale in its pastor. EXCLUSIVE! We drove past one site of the fireworks for later that night... Well we got off, and it was Griffon time!! We took out pass and handed it to the attendant standing in the entrance and she took us up and put us on the train waiting to depart. I sat in the second row, second seat in on the left side. \ Signage. More signage.. RIDE REVIEW: Griffon was such an awesome ride! The holding brake added so much to the ride. The airtime off of that first drop was insane. Immelmann was really forceful. The second drop was soo good. Way better than I expected. So much airtime on that. The second immelmann was just as good as the first. The bump into the splash down was really taken at high speed and fun. The splash was awesome, I could hear it behind us. The turn was cool. I was on the inside so it was cool to be that close to the water. The bump at the end RULED! Nice ejector there. Overall 5/5! My #1 coaster by far. From the exit. People have no clue what their in for....unless they have ridden it before... OMG! They have 6 rows of 10 now!! More soon. Firework pics in the next update!!!!
  5. ^We got there at 11. I went on Monday Loch Ness Monster- Short all day Apollo's Chariot- Walk on in the morning, 20-30 min later. Big Bad Wolf- Short All Day Alpengeist- Went up to an hour during the day, but at 8 it went down to 10 min Griffon- 2 hours in the morning and through out most of the day. But in the evening it goes down to 45min-one hour. The flats are all short lines. I wen't one day.
  6. ^Actually, any coaster with a drop over 200 feet is considered a hyper coaster. Plus people call it a B&M Hyper.
  7. Very nice Photo TR. The videos are awesome! I love Hershey. I wanna get back there soon.
  8. A pic I took of Griffon waiting to drop
  9. A giant swing would fit well in Dollywood. It's a great ride, won't disappoint. Plus I'm sure they could do a very well themed one.
  10. Yeah practically every ride there is clean. But I did notice that the water rides were extra clean. Pompeii's water looked great.
  11. Awesome ride, really fun layout!
  12. Thanks guys. ^Yeah Griffon is a great ride, and fits very well in the park. You can't go wrong with three B&M coasters.
  13. ^Dive Machines are actually a lot more scary looking at them then riding them. I was intimidated by Griffon, but then I rode it and it was all fun and no scary parts. (Except the holding brake!) Heres a Bridge pic I left out of the first update...Two trains on Loch Ness Monster. One in the bottom loop, and one going down the drop. The next update will be either late tonight or tomorrow.
  14. Well next up was lunch. At the new restaurant Bistras (sp?) which is located right by Griffon's first drop. It was a 20 min wait to get seated so me, my dad, brother, and grandma went to ride Alpengeist. Alpengeist's sign... Too bad it was an hour wait at the time. So we skipped it for now. But I took some pics. It looked awesome! Zero-G looked really nice. The log flume looked like a great one. Immelmann. Alpengeist was a great invert, although the cobra roll exit was a little rough. Falls right under Great Bear on my list. Plus the theming on Alpie is awesome! We wen't back to get in line to be seated to eat, but it was still a decent wait. So I walked over to the Griffon bridge. So awesome. Through the trees. From the bridge. Immelmann. Bought a T shirt in Griffon Gifts and walked back over....still waiting! So I took some shots from there. The ride looked amazing! Mmm I couldn't wait to get on it. Brakes.. Stupid light got in my way! >_< More drop shots. Hello Alpengeist! Ah, there we go no lights in the way. I got three shots of a Griffon train and Alpie train in a row! 1 2 3 And my favorite of the three! My little cousin (Girl in pics) took this, and wanted me to post it! Close up. My close up of the holding brake. Probably my favorite pic I took there. Wiii! Then my mom called me over and said we were being seated!!! And are seat happened to be right by the bottom of the drop. Which gave me opportunities of great shots! More close ups. It was so funny listening to peoples reactions to this hill. They weren't expecting the airtime at all. So they were all "Wiiii.....AAAH!...*Laugh*" Walked around the area of the restaurant to get this. I didn't realize how good my digital zoom was till I took this...haha Yay! More soon! Including my "How I got a fast pass to ride Griffon" story!
  15. ^Thats the weird part. They are actually really far from each other. The stations are that is. So theres a lot of walking to do if you don't take the sky ride, or train.
  16. So I wen't to VA Friday (June 29th) to visit family and then go to BGE Monday with my mom, dad, brother, little cousin, and grandparents. Well of course my reason for going was Griffon, but did I get a surprise with the other coasters. None of them were bad! I got one ride on each coaster, and got to see the fire works at the end of the day!!! This is only the first part, I will have a couple. Including tons of Griffon shots. Arriving at the park I snagged a photo of the park's three B&M coasters. And was welcomed by Apollo's Chariot. The day was looking good with only a few riders on Apollo. But I figured everyone ran to Griffon.. The first drop is amazing! YAY! From our parking spot. Pompeii looked great. I spy a dive machine! Cool little Military Welcome Center walking to the entrance. The park's buildings are beautiful! First up was Nessy. But wait, gotta get this pic while I'm over here. Sinage. Inside the station. Loch Ness Monster was great. A very, very good arrow looper. The interlocking loops were an awesome ride element. And the drop was great. The tunnel, is very surprising.... Walking back to go to Italy we went into the Clydesdale house. And saw the donkey!! And a baby Clydesdale. Really well themed ride. Very blue water! My first B&M Hyper. Ooooh yeah! Apollo's Chariot through the queue roof! Soo much airtime. I rode in the very back....awesome ride. Took my #2 spot. Me, my grandma, my cousin, and my brother on Battering Ram! Good swinging ship. The Flying Machine!!!!! DaVinci's Cradle. Very well themed carpet. Statues in Italy are beautiful along with the gardens. Lets stomp some grapes! (Me and my cousin.) Italy walkway/buildings. Time to walk to Germany! From The Bridge. Griffon's second immelmann. Wooo! My first arrow swinger. Looked awesome. I enjoyed swinging on the brakes Love this shot. BBW Was awesome, rode in the third car. Great ride, the village section was awesome, lots of swinging there. Update 2 Later today! ;D
  17. Great pictures! The park looks awesome at night.
