Either CF changes the names of the rides themed to Paramount movies, or they pay a fee to Paramount to use the names. And there was no way CF is going to pay Paramount for ride names.

Why does the the name of any ride at any park make a difference? This is not that big of a deal, nor is it a surprise. Corporations that have numerous parks have been using the same name for rides at different parks for a while now.

What did they expect him to say, "Yes I love amusement parks, but I don't see a reason to build a ride from my movies?" Yeah, that would be a great indicator of how he feels about his movies. I really enjoyed the first NT, I hope the second is just as good.

I have never been to Universal by car (always on park property or tour bus). One of the pics had the parking rates with a "Coolers not allowed" comment. Are they stating that you cannot have a cooler in your car?

The high cost (or in this case a comparable cost to Voyage) of RFII is due to building on the natural bluff, which is also one of the reasons that it took so long for this coaster to become a reality. Waldameer had to purchase an insane amount of permits just to build on the bluff because of the many questions if the bluff was safe to build on. Then after the proprer permits were aquired, many neighbors opposed the project with noise concerns because when the coaster comes down the bluff, it does come rather close to some homes, and on the turn around after the bridge the ride is close to the campground. The water table was never an issue with building the ride because land Waldameer sits on is close to 150' above Lake Erie. Even when the ride comes down the bluff, it is still a good distance above the lake. There are numerous houses along the beachfront as well as the condos that the ride is still well above. As far as the tunnels going under the road instead of the bridge, there is no way it could be accomplished without closing Peninsula Drive, and that is the only road to get on Presque Isle State Park itself. Closing off that road would prevent people from getting to their homes & condos, businesses, and there would be no way to maintain Presque Isle State Park for the winter. Aside from that, there is not enough room on either side of the road to allow the type of slope necessary to go down under the road back up, turn around, and do it all over again. This is Paul Nelson's dream. The original Ravine Flyer went over the road. If this one did not, it would not be Ravine Flyer II.

The decision to wait and make the announcement is a double edged sword. 1) Wait to make the announcement, and piss off those who wanted to cheack out the park one last time. -or- 2) Make the announcement early and potentially lose your workforce prematurely. And even though SF had rather good attendence when they first bought GL, it was the new thing. Multiple new coasters with a new direction. But that whole attitude died out rather quickly and people stopped going.

What did you expect from a ride that simulates motion with a large screen and a mechanical moving car?

I'm sure there is more to the story. What probably happened is a park official asked them to put out their cigarettes and they put up a fight. You can see it happen due to their: "I was smoking in an open area, not near any lines or other people, when all of a sudden a park employee came up to me and said I would have to leave," Teri Melendez said, quote Since there are designated smoking areas, it doesn't make a difference who or what you are near.

I personally like how they are focusing in on BTTF (yeah, the ride that is no longer there) and how it caused motion sickness. The funny thing is, they try and make it sound all professional-like, but the results are nothing more than what tabloids like Star or Enquirer dish out.

Not to be an ass, but, do you actually expect the park to say: "go ahead and take our scrap?"

^ Or Busch could be not necessarily hiding anything, but if they gave out specific information, it could encourage other idiots to try the same thing. Kind of like when media sources gave out rather specific details of Timothy McVeigh's bomb from the Oklahoma City tragedy.

I couldn't agree more. Goofy being sutting rides down at the first hint of sprinkles or a knee jerk reaction by shortening seatbelts. Two examples of why I really enjoy Hershey and BGE.

If this guy had an issue with a particular seat previously, why would he choose to sit in the same one again? And after he had the first incident, did he notify an operator? And he is the only one to ever have an issue, on two different occaisions? Sounds rather fishy.

Why is it when someone actually defends anything they are then considered a "fanboy"? I am just trting to state the facts. And the whole truth of it is, I criticize CP to the -nth degree. Only because there are parks like Hershey, Kennywood or BGE that are really much better than CP. But I just don't believe over- exaggerating to the point of where people will opt not going (to any park) because someone wants to blow something out of proportion is not right. And if the parking lot was really THAT bad, there would have been at least one picture of it from all the numerous photo trip reports that people have done. And no, walking in puddles of anytype of feces is disgusting, but that is not the case. Sure, on some of the rides is is quite gross as has been seen by numerous pictures. But the parking lot is nowhere near those pics. If some believe that defending over-exaggerated issues is the definition of being a "fanboy" so be it. I am just trying to have conversations with other park enthusiasts. Lets just have some fun at TPR!

Please do get into the heavy mechanics of it. Pigeons are not exactly known for flying. So having pigeons fly by and relieving themselves, only on your downtown streets, to the point where a city actually has to have a "Pigeon Poo Clean-up Crew" would be a sight to see!

So wild animals, birds in this case, can be controlled? Like the weather, it's called nature. Fight the battles that can be won. Clean up the bathrooms. Clean up the midways. Put a fresh coat of paint on a wall that has been graffitied. Complaining where a bird takes a dump is rather petty. And then expecting someone to walk around the parking lot with a powerwasher to clean it up is laughable. When I finally hear about someone getting sick from any parking lot due to bird feces, then I will be more than happy to agree with you. Until that time, find a different axe to grind against CP. They have enough of them!

How is an abundance of avian feces not a valid complaint? They could spray wash that stuff. ^ Which takes time and money. I would rather see money spent on something different than a parking lot. That is like saying Disney sucks because Florida is too hot in the summer. Given the area CP is in, it is just one of those things that need to be accepted. But now on HB they do have the "birdy barb wire" around most of the edges, so there is at least an attempt to reduce the amount of sea gull poo there. On the whole scale of things, how does seagull crap in a parking lot ruin from your day at the park? It really is JUST a parking lot.

While I did find your top 10 list to be rather funny, this one is just grasping at straws to come up with a top 10 list.

Well I really don't see a ride being removed anytime soon from KI. Unless you consider TR;TR being re-themed a removal. I am just guessing though.
