  1. If it was for all SF parks, sure. I plan on hitting a bunch (Georgia, St. Louis, America, Darien Lake) next year pending their opening. That said, Gold season-long is good enough for me being valid only at SFGAdv (a park that I don't plan on visiting super-frequently*) for only $40 more than it would cost for one day of it. If I go only once next year, which is likely, it pays for itself. *In case you missed any of my prior rants, I grew up 15 minutes away and threw away most of my youth working there for 6 years, so it's a bit of a sore spot for me.
  2. Thanks. And yeah, Flash Pass is a no brainer. They're actually selling season-long Gold for only $140 right now, when it would be $100 for just Sunday.
  3. So...I'm highly considering taking advantage of the $60 Season Pass offer that's going on right now (mostly in prep of a road trip next summer when, hopefully, more parks are open) and heading to the park this coming Sunday. I'll admit I haven't really been following what's opened or closed at this park. Really I'm just concerned with Ka, El Toro, Batman, and Skull Mountain. I figure I'm safe in assuming these are all running?
  4. If only everyone had your optimism LOL.
  5. Yeah, I find KI's food options to be decent enough to not necessitate leaving the park. Tom+Chee is the shiznit, and unlike Melt at CP, is on the meal plan. Just avoid any of the pizza places. A tip for the Miami River Brewhouse to skip the line is to just ask to sit at the bar. Every time I've asked the host if I could just go in, they've allowed it.
  6. Those signs have been the same since Mystic opened, so I'm pretty sure there's nothing to read into them.
  7. I'll admit that I'm one of those "change for the sake of change of alone is bad" people, but if this improves the experience for mobile users that's a win. One question - in the old forum, the thread/post title would appear above every post. Now, it's just at the top of the page. Any way to restore the old way?
  8. With Fast Lane it won't matter what order you tackle the coasters. Pretty much every coaster there that accepts Fast Lane (which is all of the adult coasters except Bat and Woodstock Express) has the merge point at the station. Do what you want and enjoy your day.
  9. Not KI, but at CP on Saturday the 3rd of October it barely broke 60 degrees and the park was busier that it had been during my July or August visits. Fast Lane highly recommended.
  10. Trip report coming maybe, but I had an awesome time at CP the weekend of the 3rd and 4th, with my super-expensive-but-totally-worth-it all-season Platinum Fast Lane+. Those without were having a less good time on Saturday - waits of 60 minutes plus for things like Iron Dragon and Corkscrew, 2 hours for Valravn, Raptor, Maverick, etc. Saturday, Maverick was running, as was every other adult coaster and Power Tower. Sunday was rainy so I didn't stick around all day but if the weather cleared was probably better. I had to have one of my cats put down on Wednesday, so I'm still in kinda a mood about that, but good to have the forum back.
  11. No worries. Just getting me concerned as it is my #1 and I'm planning on going to the park this weekend.
  12. Really? Where is it listed to not operate this weekend? I couldn't find that on the website.
  13. Yeah, they're selling the all-season Fast Lane+ add on to Gold and Platinum passes, not daily Fast Lanes. Apologies if it came off confusing.
  14. You say "correct," I say that if you were towards the very front of the SV AP line when they started giving them out, Maverick will still have a substantial AP line once you get your SV one, thus wasting time standing in that line when you could be picking up other passes (the Millennium line will be dissipating while you're walking there) and by the time you make it back to Maverick there will be no wait for an AP and you're also right next to where your first AP will be redeemed. This strategy worked every single day I tried it (4 days out of the 5 I was there over the summer), and I only had minimal downtime upon arriving back at the tip of Frontiertown before my SV AP time. But to each their own.
  15. The US will never come close to a 100% take rate for a COVID vaccine. Hell, for the 2018-2019 flu season, only 45% of adults got the flu shot, which has been tested and proven to have minimal side effects over the past several decades. Tetanus vaccination is only around 63%. Pneumococcal vaccination is around 25%. Any COVID vaccine available will be unproven outside of trials, not to mention the politics surrounding it....I'd be very surprised if the take rate broke 10% the first year. If "everyone vaccinated" is the Governor's criteria, I feel really bad for the economy up there.
  16. FL will always help with lines, especially at a park like KI where almost all the lines merge at the station. I have to call some BS on your friends' account of "2 hour Fast Lane waits" at CP though, unless rides broke down. Even at its worst during a normal season, the Fast Lane line for SV barely broke an hour.
  17. You're not completely wrong in your declaration, but I visited a total of 5 days so far this year and did not have any issues with the Access Passes, including waiting in excessive lines or not being able to get a pass (I did every time). Yes, it involves planning out your day, and you may not get as many rides on the big four as you would have otherwise, but it's not a complete disaster unless you let it become one. And from here on out, with FL being available for purchase again if you're a passholder, if you absolutely must get more than 1 or 2 rides on each in one day, you have the ability to make that happen.
  18. If crowds are like what they were during the summer, I was able to grab Access Passes for all four rides during each morning session I went. Strategies vary, but mine was: 1. Get to SV as early as possible and wait in the AP line; with resort gate access, entering as soon as they let you, you should be among the first 25 people in that line. 2. Once you get your SV AP, briskly stroll to MF and get your AP there. 3. Loop around under Corkscrew and grab your TTD AP. 4. Make your way back to Maverick and grab that AP. 5. You will now be back in the area of SV, likely 10-15 minutes before your AP time. Don't forget to show your previously-acquired APs to the person giving out the APs at the next line, so you won't get duplicate times. Also, if you're a passholder (CP Gold or CF Platinum), don't forget that all-season Fast Lane is now available for both this year and next. Pricey, but worth it IMHO. I just bought mine for my CP trip this weekend, and it'll also get use at KI for the weekend of 10/31-11/1, not to mention whatever trips I get in next year.
  19. Yeah, White House is about the only redeeming quality about Atlantic City (especially with the pandemic), but they make the best cheesesteak I've ever had (and I frequent Philly!) as was as some banging cold subs too. There's also two really cool retro video game/toy stores (Level Up in Hamilton Mall and Farpoint on Route 40 east of the mall) right in the area, too, if you're into that sort of thing.
  20. Nice report! I've probably driven past this place a hundred times, as it's on my way to AC. Please tell me you stopped into White House Subs while you were in the area?
  21. Those look like Skyrush-style lap bars. Get ready for the complaints LOL.
  22. So Hershey is running a sale right now of $34.95 for a one-day ticket for Hersheypark in the Dark in October. How bad do crowds get on a Saturday pre-Covid? As bad as every other theme park for Halloween events? I notice they're only open 2-9.
  23. Probably the same way every other park is, having the character in a cordoned off area and available for photographs but not hugs or high-fives.
  24. Might just be switching to the newer-style RMC double-wheel trains.
  25. Are you talking about Six Flags Darien Lake? Yes. That is the park this thread is about...
