  1. *sigh* Oh Cedar Fair... Says plain as day on the store page, "Up to 3 reservations may be made per Season Pass." What do you know, after two, I get the message of "Maximum Number of Reservations Reached." I mean, it's not like you used this same system all last year....LOL. You're making it so hard to love you. But of course I still do.
  2. Bomb threat apparently. https://www.wnep.com/article/news/local/northumberland-county/police-investigating-threat-at-knoebels/523-3ec88b87-2b77-4932-bc33-5b0edee57739 EDIT: Better article here: https://www.pahomepage.com/top-stories/police-investigate-situation-at-knoebels/
  3. I'm assuming they're being extra-cautious because they don't want to have to delay the Olympics again. Japan, a country of 126 million people, has only had around 560,000 COVID cases (0.4% infection rate) and under 10,.000 deaths (0.17% death-from-infection date). Compare that to 9.7% and 1.7%, respectively for the US. I predict they'll be a lot more open after early August and the Olympics are over.
  4. Don't see why its so hard to believe. Two guys with the proper lift equipment could get that reassembled in a day. It's not like the whole drive mechanism/gearbox is dismantled. If SFGAdv can replace a lift motor for Batman in one day, while the park is operating, this should be cake for the Knoebel's crew while the park is closed.
  5. If I recall, you're coming in on Labor Day Weekend...if that is the case, then yes, you should jump on Fast Lane Plus for Saturday and Sunday as soon as possible. There is a good chance it will sell out. Don't bother with the standard Fast Lane, the rides you really need it for are only on Plus. Saturday and Sunday with Fast Lane Plus should be enough time, barring mechanical or weather related closures. Taking Friday as a "get oriented day" without Fast Lane Plus makes sense, and you can also try to hit the rides that aren't on Fast Lane Plus (notably, Iron Dragon and Cedar Creek Mine Ride).
  6. Pretty sure he's just an idiot, not trying to write haikus LOL.
  7. I haven't been on their Pirate Ship or Octopus for years, but when I was at the park last year, the Musik Express ran a decent cycle. I believe, but am not positive, that it still has an operator speed-control knob that they can turn up to 11 with a decent rider reaction. Not quite as awesome as the cycle you'll get with the right operator on Morey's Musik Express, but still good. You didn't ask, but Apollo and Enterprise still run decently long cycles too.
  8. Nothing yet (got a Season Pass Holder email today that didn't mention Fast Lane at all). To further spurn the hope for those without the master plan like me, the website still says "On Sale Soon" as opposed to "Not Available."
  9. In other news, two more attractions at American Dream to miss their targeted opening dates: Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center. Originally slated for May 4th, both "won’t be able to hit that target date." says Merlin. https://www.nj.com/news/2021/04/2-american-dream-attractions-delay-opening-date.html May the comedy of errors ever continue!
  10. How much more proof do you need that Californians, in general, think they're better than everyone else?
  11. My guess is that it breaks the "steepest beyond vertical drop" record by one degree, and my money would be on a non-CF-park, but that's just a hunch.
  12. At this point it's kinda a "wait and see" if they'll offer daily Fast Lane. Last year, KI didn't offer it until halfway through and CP didn't offer it at all. This year, CP has announced that it'll be available, and general presumption is KI will do the same. Remember, this year at KD is basically last year at other parks.
  13. This sounds like one of the checkers on the left was in training. It happens.
  14. And I bet they'll even let you charge your phones for the low-low-price of $10 an hour too when your battery dies.
  15. @cfcGreat report, and thanks for the intel! I guess I'll be planning for a trip in June or July.
  16. LOL in the shot of people with "no masks," literally no one did not have a mask, and only one wasn't wearing it halfway-properly. That guy might have just taken a sip from the souvenir cup that he's carrying. Sorry, but a sample size of 3 does not indicate anything. Also, for your own furthering intelligence, I'd recommend staying off of TikTok.
  17. Sorry, I can't speak to the park's meal deals since I never eat there.
  18. Because Six Flags webmasters are morons. Quite a few rides that definitely don't go upside down are listed as doing so, too.
  19. @Alex Sutcliff Can't speculate on the ticket issue, but I can tell you that they're not sold out. Several Six Flags parks either haven't posted their calendar or aren't allowing ticket sales past May for some reason which no one knows. As for Flash Pass, Bronze level is basically worthless. If it's a busy day, you'll be waiting just as long as you would otherwise, just not in the queue line. If it's a calm day, you won't need it at all. Gold is the minimum you should consider, but given that you're planning on visiting on a Wednesday, you likely won't need it at all, especially if you're planning a full-day (open to close). If you get there and the day gets busy, you can always buy it at the park for the same price that you'd pay buying it advance.
  20. I hate to quote my own post, but just wondering if anyone had any intel on my question. Was possibly planning a trip on May 1 and would prefer that Aplengeist, Loch Ness. Mach Tower, and the log flume not be closed. If you have access to TicketsatWork.com, they currently have any-day tickets for $60.
  21. Aside from Bill's experience, the rest of the posts (including my own) claim minimal waits, so I'm not sure what you're on about. Anyway, we won't know for certain until they open to see how/if they're doing spacing on coasters. All of the Cedar Fair parks pages that I've looked at, including Dorney's, have removed the "reduced capacity on rides" text from their COVID-19-prevention actions. If it's like last year, on a Saturday, yeah you might have some substantial waits. I'd expect crowds to be a little bit larger than last year, simply because more people are comfortable going out now, but it's still Dorney Park. If you go on any day but a Saturday you won't have any substantial wait times.
  22. Because Gov. Murphy basically put a halt to all "non-essential" construction (or other work, for that matter), for a large part of 2020. After it was allowed to restart, I have to imagine the park still wanted to feel out the trajectory of the pandemic before investing anything else into it.
  23. So KD just sent out an e-mail to pass holders; there will be a preview day for Gold/Platinum Pass holders on Sunday, May 16th, ahead of their main opening on Saturday the 22nd. That's all it says, no hours posted yet. If they're open late enough I might swing by on my way back from Kings Island.
  24. Yeah, the Fast Track will really only provide a major help at Great Bear and Fahrenheit (drops you in the station), and to a lesser extent Skyrush and Candymonium (provided there is queue built up on the ground). For most other rides the merge point is too far back to really make much a difference.
  25. Last I checked (just now) a SEAS Platinum Pass was $408 after taxes and fees, but yeah if you can get one for $200 I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.
