  1. Frankly, I don't know if anybody would actually buy it except for spare parts. But if so, this is the one to buy.. Cedar Point have taken good care of it. I'll say it again: That space looks perfect for a Top Spin.
  2. Its very common for a park to contact 4 or 5 ride builders and choose the one that gives them the best price... or design (if money is no object) of what they need. Thats why Cedar Fair has used Intamin so much, the price is always the lowest. If the money is right, any company will build anything.
  3. Im hearing talk of the Spider from Geauga Lake being refurbished and put up next year as well (despite them saying they couldn't due to its condition for this year). Is there any truth to that?
  4. We went on a Sunday in Mid November (of 2008) and we found Deja Vu down. (I had been on it before, so I really wasn't too upset) Revolution was also down that day, unfortunately. The best advice is to call the park if you're worried about a specific ride.
  5. Wow! I never would have thought! That Blows my design out the window.
  6. I don't like it much either. The Rose bowl really hurts me. The thing I would do is remove the rose bowl and put in a few airtime hills, a low to the ground series and a high turnaround and that should do it. Or just take it out all together.
  7. Very Nice. I've gotta wonder what "landmarks" of Geauga Lake will exist 30 years from now.
  8. This will not be a Flyer, Launched, 200 or 400 footer. I haven't heard a confirmed "no" on a 300 footer, but frankly, I can NOT see them investing in one.
  9. Im surprised that they didn't get rid of this thing years ago. It's been nothing but a headache for them. Stateside, Valleyfair has theirs (both were purchased in 1997) and The Adventuredome has one still. Not sure where else your going to find one. It's too bad.. the Chaos was a really neat design, shame that Chance couldn't work out the bugs. Standing ovation to Cedar Fair though, for keeping both this and Demon Drop Running so long when other parks have pulled theirs years ago. Its too bad they decided to sell Geauga Lake's Wipeout in the auction.. it would have made a better replacement. Maybe a nice Top Spin will find it's way here next year.
  10. My thoughts on the 2010 Dominion Ride. Enjoy! (For entertainment purposes only)
  11. They took out the Tiger Show? So are there any Tigers on Display? I haven't been there.. ever, but those Tigers looked like a good incentive.
  12. An updated layout on what I think this ride will look like! For entertainment purposes only...Enjoy!
  13. I love that Carousel, too. You may be surprised to know that it's actually a Vekoma. T2 is interesting. Not only is it a prototype, but it once operated with Three 10-Car Trains. Its also the most violent SLC I have ever been on.
  14. Great Documentation of those kiddie rides. Our trip was pretty short in 2003, I wound up missing a lot of those. Wish they never took out the Sky Wheel
  15. You know, I've seen different shaped supports show up on all manufacturers. We'll just have to wait till track finally shows up.
  16. Wow... right on a gradual curve, too! I'm no expert, but that does look like the cause of too much speed.
  17. A little history here... God asks us to keep the Lord's Day Holy, which is the 7th day or Sunday. When God created the world, he rested on the 7th day... thats where that comes from, whether it's your belief or not, it is still evident today with how some people act. There are actually several religions that ask this. Many family businesses have continued to adopt this and not open on Sundays including some car retailers and like you said above, Chick Fila. A department store here, called Scottenstien's, is run by a Jewish family, and they would always be closed on Saturday... except around Christmas... ironically. Some amusement parks still take Mondays and Tuesdays off from opening due to lower attendance those days. However, with the way business is run nowadays, you basically have to be open 7 days a week.. but places still open late and close early on Sundays.
  18. Out of curiosity, since I'm not a local, but what was the Autobahn?
  19. On Delerium, as well as the other Chance Revolution rides, the end seats are a little bigger than the middles. Which seat were you in?
  20. I don't know about Franchise per say, but I think they should continue to work more with M&M/Mars and continue their sponsorships.
  21. Oh... Okay thats good to know! Obviously my source was wrong and got some things mixed up. I hope the Scrambler does come back soon as it's a low maintenance and high capacity flat ride, but I know thats not the top priority now.
  22. ^ That was a pretty fun video! Any word on what is happening with the Round Up or the Ultimate Trip? (I know that building collapsed on the ride, but I heard they had a new Scrambler in storage.)
  23. I fixed the LeSourdsville Pict's. Does anybody know if the ever built the condos on the Whalom Property? Has the Carousel Pavilion and the two other remaining building been razed yet as well? They were given the green light to do so I think about 2 years ago, shortly after bulldozing most of the park.
  24. "Aunt Edna... What's the Big News???" "You're driving me to Phoenix!" SPLAT!!!!! (Just thought I'd throw a "Vacation" reference in there)
