I don't know if there are many Bjork fans on here, but her new album Biophilia leaked last weekend... So great... Can't wait for the apps to all be released as well. This project is such a huge endeavour...

I think that the brake run is so long simply becuase of the fact that they need space to stack trains safely. Millennium Forces brake run would be just as long had they not had the double station. This brake run looks so out of place though simply is becuase it's situated 50+ feet in the air... Which just looks F'ed up... I'm sure that if it was lower to the ground people would be questioning why it ends so early. The problem with Giga coasters is that they travel so damn fast. The track length would have to be around 10,000 ft in length if you wanted a ride to have a duration of more than 2 minutes after the lift. Obviously, that's not really feasible considering this ride is already 28 million dollars at just over 5,000 ft. -

Here is a video of the show, but I am hoping to get out to the park this week or next and will make sure to get video of the post show! http://youtu.be/JDzhqUgX5ok -
I just started working at a pizza shop. Its my first job and I am quite surprised to say that I enjoy it. However, I only work weekends, and by weekends I mean I work EVERY WEEKEND. I am the only person trained for front cash and weekends are super busy. Now, the reason why I am ranting is because I asked if I could work during the week once a month so that I could get one weekend off in return as my boyfriend of 3 years works in the city during the week and gets weekends off (obviously that doesn't work out too well with my schedule). I was told no. Now I think that this is a completely reasonable request, but apparently not... and this response is making me really hate my job. There are a bunch of other things that bother me too, which I hadn't been complaining about before because of how hard it is to find jobs now a days. I don't get paid minimum wage (it is $10.25/h and I'm getting paid $9.00/h) and I don't get breaks. I am so torn between trying to find another job in the mean time or just to stick it out and wait to see if I can get the one weekend off... I work in less than an hour, so I'm off to get ready... but I guess I have some thinking to do...

Am I the only person confused about multiple things that have come with this announcement..? First, Leviathan is a water beast... Behemoth is a land beast... but these rides are located opposite to their respective environments. It would make more sense to have had Leviathan located where Behemoth is and have behemoth where Leviathan is. Also, think back to 2008 when everyone thought that we were getting THIS ride. Weird. Second, I am kind of disappointed in the fact that this is just an over-sized Behemoth. Don't get me wrong, I think that the ride will be AMAZING, but honestly, I don't think it was the "RIGHT" choice for the park. Why not spend this money on an AMAZING sit down looper? Our selection of loopers in the park are all SO outdated and rough, and it would have been nice to see something fill that void. I just have a really empty feeling inside and tonns of mixed emotions regarding this announcement. I know people on here are going to say that I should be happy that my home park is getting another amazing B&M, but honestly, what this park needs is some variety and quality in its coaster selection. I don't believe that the people who are going to disagree with me aren't at least a little bit disappointed / shocked that we are getting something that we already have. Overall I have been left very underwhelmed by the announcement, and I wish that parks would do a little bit more consideration on what they already have before they go out and spend 28 Million Dollars on a ride that we basically already have. That said, I'll wait till I get to ride this beast before I pass any judgments on the ride, but from what I have seen, the ride itself doesn't look like it will disappoint. -

The countdown works based off of the time set on your computer. When I set my computer clock ahead to tomorrow 7 am, the countdown is blank. You will not be able to see the announcement until 7 am (Eastern Time US & CAN), when they open the new page for the ride. They made that mistake with the Behemoth countdown and the layout was revealed when someone set their computer time ahead to the announcement date. -

Oh, I know that there is nothing unsafe about graying out. I was just wondering if forces had either been lowered or if they had simply been shortened! Its so nice to hear that they have been shortened and not lowered by the rehab! -
^^^I was thinking the same thing. I've seen similar incidents while waiting in line for Drop Tower at CW. People bring things like pocket change up to the top and then drop it down onto the queue. It wouldn't surprise me if some idiot was doing something similar here and pulling an "Oh, my change came out of my pocket on the loops." Hopefully this "solution" is only temporary and Universal can start dueling the ride again soon. It's such a shame to see a coaster which has run without issue for so long halt it's original operations in a situation where a specific person is most likely behind these recent events. In the decade that the ride has been operating and these two incidents having happened within weeks of each other just screams rider interference and not coincidence. Something just isn't right here.

From the trip report on the last page: I thought that the redesign if 305 was meant to decrease the forces of the turnaround..? Were the forces significantly lower than last season, or are they relatively the same with the forces becoming less as the train climbs the incline? It's nice to hear that it's still forceful though! Can wait to get out there to ride it real soon! -

This is very sad news. Many blessings go out to the families. I'm guessing that the ride was not assembled correctly, or that there was some sort of maintenance neglect. -

Schotcher, its been so long since B&M made that remark about the launch, and recently, they HAVE been pushing the limits of their designs. Look at Starry Sky Ripper and the new invert at Parc Asterix. They are trying new things out; although, while not as risky as some other manufactures out there, they are expanding off their older designs and creating new things. Also, nothing has been announced yet and everything that people are posting is simply speculation as to what the ride COULD be. With the teasers that have been released so far, something like a Launch from B&M seams like a possibility, because honestly, with B&M having made this past statement about never doing launches, it would be quite a feat of engineering for them to incorporate a launch into one of their rides... or for them to break their TREND of only building coasters under the 240' height. And guess what, this only applies if the ride DOES end up being a Beemer which currently no one is 100% certain of. Basically, until the official announcement on the 18th its all speculation. -

Yes, but that was back in 1999; 12 years ago, when technology was not as advanced or as cheap to produce as it is today. With the reliability of LIM launches, I think that B&M might have the courage to try it out; you have to admit, a launched flyer would be AMAZING. And Schotcher, what does a floorless have to do with Medusa? hahaha -

With the introduction of magnetic breaks on their newer coasters is it possible that B&M might try the technology to launch a coaster? It seems like LIM technology is reliable enough/ been around for a long time for them to want to use it now. Ans with all this speak of a possible flyer, something like THIS could be great for the park.
