  1. That's why I said in my post that bit would be too much too expect a Maverick kind of ride or something even more intense, Disney just don't do that.
  2. Maverick is far better IMO and a lot different to California Screaming, and I have been on both to be able to make that comparison.
  3. I wish they would put in some more thrilling rides with the Disney trademark theming, an Expedition Everest type ride would be good, and a Rock'n'Roller coaster would be great. I know it would be too much too ask to get something seriously kick a$$ like a hyper or a Maverick type of ride, or an Intamin pre fab woodie.
  4. Well I guess the bottom line is that people vote with their feet and if Alexa's rankings are any indication then TPR is tops.
  5. Wow, a carnie Eurofighter, might be fighting for your life after a ride on that one. I'd settle for one downunder, how's about it, Sydney Royal Easter show?
  6. If my rides on Ghostrider in August are any indication, you wouldn't like Ghotrider any more, it was just awful (unbelievably rough), and it was pretty cool less than 2 years ago. I'm dying to know where a lot of the other rides will go, who's been naughty and gets the boomerang, send it to MiA as well, ha ha ha.
  7. Unfortunately I didn't know about the wheel seats, my first ride on Beast was around 11am in the back row, and I swear I thought the drop and turn into the shed after the second lift hill were going shatter my ribcage.
  8. You are correct, I was referring to Mean Streak at the Point.
  9. That's what I like about Nitro at the front, how exposed you are with just the clamshell between you and certain death. It's about time a former Paramount Park got a real marquee coaster.
  10. The Beast could certainly use something to make it better, I rode it for the first time this year, unfortunately all rides were on wheel seats and the jack hammering was unbelievable. Racer forwards was also awful. Both those coasters could be so much better, though I'm not sure if the trains off a reputedly awful ride like Villian will fix anything.
  11. I think Movie World is $65 Australian which I consider a bit steep, but there's usually shopper dockets floating around that can reduce that cost by a fair bit. The lockers at Superman Escape are a rip off, but not as big a rip off as the all day lockers. You only need a locker for SE, so it's better to ride it and keep going back and pay $1 per hour for the locker then $10 plus (depending on size) for an all day locker. Dreamworld gets a bit over a million visitors, though I am not sure, can anyone confirm this? I really like the level of disclosure in the report, I wish more parks did this.
  12. I am thinking 100% inversion, I think it would be more debateable if the twist was on a vertical spike like Wicked Twister which I would not consider to be an inversion.
  13. If Cedar Fair is going to burn something to the ground, I'm thinking of a coaster taking up space a bit west of Geauga Lake. I hear they are thinking of renaming Dominator, maybe the Virginians aren't up for a S & M themed ride, maybe they can call it "Deliverance" with Banjo's playing in the load station. Any people from Virginia, I'm only being tongue in cheek.
  14. I'm hoping B & M really nails the hyper with this one and gets more Intamin like airtime on all those camelbacks. The floater air on Nitro is fun but I much prefer the ejector air of Ride of Steel. It will be interesting to see how the two across seating (albeit still wide) in the trains affects the dynamics of the ride.
  15. Bomb Track by Rage Against The Machine.
  16. Not a yes or no question, yes to buttered. Do you hate getting up in the morning?
  17. I'm total sick of what is happening in Burma (the country is actually called Myanmar), maybe if they had oil someone would do something about it.
  18. Why do I think of Leslie Easterbrook when I think Police Academy, BUSTed big time. Unfortunately her character is not in the show.
  19. I'm thinking B & M might really nail the hyper with Behemoth, steeper drop, narrower trains - a B & M hyper with ejector air we can only hope. That's why I was curious about the East Coast add on.
  20. Results for Warner Village Theme Parks, the major opereator in Australia, interesting to compare to US Parks: http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20071015/pdf/3153lfxlw0rp9g.pdf Main points: Attendance: Warner Bros Movie World 1,323,542 Sea World 1,351,800 Wet and Wild 1,024,730 Early 2009 Additions: Hippo Exhibit at Sea World $4.5m Hot Wheels Stunt Show at Movie World $7.0m (replacing Police Academy)
  21. I've got a couple of questions: Does the priority treatment (if you went on a trip in 2006 or 2007), stay with you forever (like the mark of cain), what I mean is you can't lose that status if you don't go on a trip one year (I'm just curious)? Will there be an announcement on an East Coast add on before the deposit deadline?
  22. I hate the English Rugby Team, why are all the other teams so dumb to get beat by them. Oh please, don't let England win the rugby world cup this week.
  23. Fat Lip by Sum 41
  24. Yes (Rugby and Cricket) Have you ever made an idiot of yourself because of a member of the opposite sex?
  25. Resident Evil Extinction, very short, very derivative (especially Road Warrior and Day of the Dead), not very good. Milla Jovovich looked hot as usual though.
