NL ROAR
Théo the little french replied to da1daonly's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Well, I think even if you took all your time, you didn't tried many things to make it as perfect as you wanted..... But, I remember this is your third one so I'll give you advices for the next tracks (critics: ok; advices: better^^). So, first: Most of your curves are too much inclined , so to find the good inclination, look at the Gs: if Gs go too much to the outside of the curve make the curve straighter and at the contrary if Gs go too much to the inside of the curve, make this one flatter... I'm not sure I explain it correctly (with the good words lol) but I hope you'll understand what I mean... Secondly: you should try the smoother (ctrl + G), I'm not sure but I think you used it for the first drop, didn't you? If you do it, it will be enough to make good rides -

Tesla [NL]

Unfortunately I could open it with NL or NLpack. I saw the video, and.......... This is FORMIDABLE!!! This is the first time I see such a ride with soo many details! Really impressive! However I hate the name: Tesla! I studied it a few weeks ago in class! -

Very interesting layout! If it was a bit smoother it would be great! -
Well, well, well... It was very hard to chose! -Loefet's ride: to my view this is the most realistic and the smoothest ride in this contest, I really loved it. -Scaparri's ride: Surely the funniest in the contest: I really loved the "pretzel like" element it was incredible! -coasterguy99's ride: I loved the concept, but there are too much repetitions in your layout. -Dbru's ride: far away better than the first version, but it's not enough to make a good concurrence in front of the other rides! So..... it was very, very difficult to chose between Douze and F5! As I said Douze is very realistic and smooth, but not as funny as F5 which needs more smoothness..... My vote is finally for F5, it's the first Scaparri's NL track I see and it was very astonishing. Loefet, I hope you won't be disappointed!

Great ride! It was a very original and powerful layout! By the way, seeing your avatar I was wondering, aren't you fan of the singer Bjork? -

It's not as bad as what I feared and the layout the layout is pretty original. But you need to practise^^ Here are some advices to help you in the future: -use the smoother (ctrl+G) to make a nice smooth ride (not shaky) -be careful with lateral Gs, don't hesitate to try your ride many times to see how strong are your lateral Gs and if it's necessary: try to correct it. I think it will be enough for this moment. Good luck -

Great ride! I loved the layout and the tower! But don't the trains go too much slowly at the top of the tower? A little advice: use the smoother in your curves, it will be better and softer! -
This meeting must have been so great!! I'm so sad I couldn't come with you! Promise, I'll do my best to come to the CW's 2009 meeting! Pmlondon, would you post the rest of your trip? It may interest some people, no?^^ Ecoaster, it always makes me laugh to see your video (the position of the red mad is funny, but it must not have been very comfortable lol).

The layout was great! But it so sad you didn't use the smoother! Your ride would have been perfect even with some red Gs. -

Great ride! I think it would have been hard to chose between your track and Jarmor's one if you took part to the contest -
Well, I've just ridden your track Dbru, I think you should try to make something more "complex". To my view, a few meters more would be welcome, I don't even know if your track is longer than the only launched X-car wich already exists.... However, I like the air times on your track, they are very powerful! Scapari, your track looks great!

Great ride once again: very smooth, perfect Gs (even if there are some yellow Gs) and hills are excellent! There are floating time during a a few seconds! -

I think I understand what you mean about the smoother.... It's a bit difficult to use it more or less correctly.... About the "criss cross", well... I didn't find the good translation in my dictionary to name the white points on the editor (like graduations). -

It's not bad, there are some good ideas! I liked the first drop and the way you followed the relief of the ground. The layout was pretty original. But there are some stuffs that aren't really good: -Some red Gs -You should use the smoother (ctrl + G), that'll help you to make a very smooth track! -I think you didn't really understand the system of rails, I mean when you have to choose 4 tubes rails or 3 tubes rails. 4 tubes rails are when Gs are very strong, but you used this type of rail at the end, when the train goes slowly. Do you understand the problem? -You try not to follow the criss cross (is it the good word?) in the NLeditor. That's not a bad idea but try to make straight elements ( button I on the keyboard).
