Trimpers Rides & Amusements I think is one of the best deals running as far as tickets go. An individual ticket is .60 and a sheet of tickets is $20. Average for a kiddie ride is 3 tickets and an adult ride is 6. They have over 40 rides, including 2 walk through fun houses, a coaster, the best bumper cars south of Knobels, and a classic ride through Haunted House. They also offer wristbands that are good for all the rides, in the afternoons, for $26.00. Now here is the real deal. Early Spring, via Facebook, Trimpers will offer half price wristbands to people that have liked their page. So for $13.00 you can get a wristband that is good for 5 or 6 hours of unlimited rides. I will normally buy a few wristbands for my kids to use at various times in the year. Trimpers Prices

Had the opportunity to NOT ride this over the weekend in Ocean City, MD. At 6' 6" there is no way I could get in this, plus they no longer allow single riders. My son loved it and rode it 3 times though. Trimper's Zipper

Our local fireman's carnival had one of these up until about 2 years ago. So much fun. The actually still have the ride in storage and plan to bring it back some time in the future. That's good to know! Where is that exactly? I wonder how many of these are still hiding in storage but operational. Wachapreague Fireman's Carnival Those containers have about 4 rides in them

Was at the park the last two consecutive Saturday's for the Food and Wine Fest, I cannot say enough good things about this event. I wish I could have tried everything, but even over 2 Saturday's it was almost impossible. I will guess and say that I tried over 1/2 of all the offerings. I feel that Epcot's Food and Wine is still better, but BG is catching up fast. My two food favorites by far were : Sonoran Spice Pork in the American Southwest, and Bananas Foster Cheesecake in the French Quarter. Rode most everything, Verbolten is getting rough or I'm getting old. Noticed a TON of land clearing, not on the Invadr site but over by Drachen Fire (Festhaus Park) The concrete pad that sat between the station and the maintenance building is completely gone and has been pushed toward the back side of Verbolten. All the land between the Drachen Fire and Verbolten has been stripped.

Was one of the Saturday's you were there the 10th? I was on Volcano early that morning and as the train left I thought I saw you waiting for the front car. I hung around the gift shop a bit but never saw you, so I thought I was seeing things. Park was getting so busy that afternoon we decide to skip the haunt and head over to Busch Gardens. -

Here it is. I was in Ocean City for work this past Saturday and rode through for a picture. I am going back this Saturday in hopes to give it a try. (get the credit ) -
Jolly Roger Unveils New 'Cart Coaster'

I saw it this weekend as I passed by. Might try to get back to Ocean City this weekend to give it a try. Don't think I will count it as a credit. Jolly Rogers is making some serious capital improvements for a small park. They are also opening an Aqua Loop this season, being billed as the #1 slide in the USA. http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2012/05/26/new-oc-water-slide-named-1-in-us/ -
Finally upgraded to the Large size Green Egg. Been using the small now for just over 2 years and it was time to get something bigger. Our local distributor had a big Demo day this past Saturday and I purchased the Large, with a bunch of free accessories, for less than a same size Komodo. Now I need to build a table and ready to get cooking.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
esvadj replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is a random Kings Dominion question: Since Virginia moved to State Fair right down the street from KD, has this increased or decreased the crowds? I was thinking about hitting KD on Saturday and I just realized the State Fair started, I was hoping for light crowds. Any insight? -
I was at the park Sunday and I have never seen it so dead. The weather was bad, misting rain / chilly. I was in and out of the park before noon, after riding every major attraction that was open. Mach Tower was not running, nor was Griffin. Rain picked up so we left to spend the night at Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg. Heard from someone there that the balloon test was scheduled for the next day, Monday the 14th, so I rode back over to the park to see if I could see anything. I couldn't. Heading back Friday for Hallow Scream!

Another great report. I am heading to the Jersey Shore next week - plan on hitting some of these parks myself.

Knoebels Discussion Thread
esvadj replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just got back from my first visit ever to Knoebels. I was a little disappointed to find Phoenix not running, but being such a great park in every other aspect made up for it. Flying Turns was testing all day. I went by two different times and saw that train running both times. I was never in a good place to get a picture or video. -
Knoebels Discussion Thread
esvadj replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am going to Knoebels for my first time at the end of this month, and I can't wait. I have tried a trip a few different time and this looks like the time I will actually get there. I plan on going on a weekday, so my question is - is one day better than another? I see that some days are ticket only and some days are ride bracelets. I have searched the web for some discounts and found some $5 off coupons but its kind of vague as to what the $5 is off of (tickets or bracelets.)
