  1. It's not smooth by any means but I do enjoy Odyssey at Fantasy Island just for its first drop. The drop doesn't look like anything special from any angle but for reasons I don't know, whether it's the twist or the angle, it almost looks like a vertical drop as you start to go down. Although my ride was probably 10 years ago now so who knows how well it has aged.
  2. If it is just Dodonpa and early time slots then the ticket machine is probably your best bet over the main fast pass area near the carousel, since it can open later and there will be a wait as people choose their passes and times etc.
  3. You'll be fine, summer is quieter than fall or spring since it is very hot and humid and the water park is open so that takes in a lot of the crowds. I personally recommend a Sunday since I've seen dead weekdays and ridiculously packed weekdays with school groups and on quiet days they can sometimes cut down operations e.g. one ride is 10-12 and another is 1-closing in some areas whereas Sunday will have more crowds but the more open rides tend to spread them more and it's more families over thrill-riding teens. I think you might have looked at my past posts here to know about the reservation and single-rider policies of T Express. The single-rider line for all rides in the park are gone in favor of a mobile phone app with a point based lottery for fast pass you can download and use (see top post of this page). As for the reservation only thing they had, I haven't seen it run in a long while now. If you go on a sunday, T Express should open with the park however on a few of my visits they only have 1 train running the first opening and test cycle a second so you could grab a ride somewhere and then head over. For example it had a 2 hour line on Children's Day (one of the busiest days) in the morning but I saw 30 mins later in the evening. It does close a bit earlier than other rides due to the fireworks nearby but the app will tell you what time. If it's your only visit you could always book on the official site and get a q pass set: http://everland.eticket.placem.co.kr/main/main.html Even for next weekend only 6 of the 70 allocated q passes for the foreigner site are gone so booking too late isn't too much of an issue. There are cheaper q pass websites like klook but some, if you read the fine print, don't let you pick and the booths sometimes don't open with the park so you would waste valuable time trekking back to the entrance. While I'm posting I'll put in a park update, Double Rock Spin (the Huss suspended top-spin) went down for a rehab in March.... and is still closed even now. It's very rare for the park to have a big capacity eater down for Children's Day and the ride is used in wet mode during Summer Splash event. Let's hope nothing too bad has happened or expect it to be replaced by a garden soon.
  4. Apparently, the first 24 days of Star Wars Land reservations ran out in just 2 hours. I also saw comments by people who used multiple accounts since it was registered to one Disney account who would then add guests grab multiple days using the system so I'm waiting for the inevitable wave of complaints or the holders asking people to pay to go in on their extra guest tickets.
  5. ^Fair enough. I know this probably shouldn't be something that I let affect my ratings, but screw it since they're mine, I always end up putting Kawasemi a little higher than one or two rides I think are maybe better because this is probably the best roller-coaster on my list that never has a line. There are some rides I love but after a couple of awesome rides but being stuck in a long cattle-pen or out in the hot sun, I end up passing because I'm kind of done. Kawasemi is probably the only in my top 10 where I can basically run around, marathon and still be smiling and feeling fresh until I'm done.
  6. Just out of curiosity, what made you enjoy Kawasemi slightly more than Piraten?
  7. Top 10 of Asia would be cool to see for me.
  8. Is this part of why mega-lites are listed at 25 on your post but not counted as part of the results this year? They are asterisked on the main poll site. Same with Space Mountain and some other rides like the Batman rides, is it a case of all cloned rides being asterisked? Also not sure I can see last years poll but I could have sworn the mega lites placed higher last year, is that a result of putting them together or did they just fall from grace because of new rides or more voters, etc? What was the cut-off for riders for some of the rides? I saw Draken on the poll with a number which surprised me since including myself I think i've only seen 1 or 2 other forum members mention riding it.
  9. I realize the parks themselves, characters walking around or the attractions are all part of celebrating the Disney movies, but I'm an absolute sucker for anything involving footage straight out of the movies with the music (I think one of my earliest Disney memories is the montage in the Disney Animation attraction at the studios in Paris), they always feel like the biggest tribute to the films at least for me when I'm in the park, which is why Disney is one of the few places I will catch the shows over extra rides. They've really outdone themselves with how many there are in this. I'm not sure if people prefer the shows that dedicate to a couple of the movies for bigger segments but I love this rapid-fire style of how many films get a quick glimpse or moment in 10 minutes.
  10. Which is easier for you Larry? To re-post a bunch of Gyeongju World pictures here or re-link to the TR for the ones lost in the hack? Most of them are just signs that were missing or of rider-less/closed rides pictures of it with riders e.g.the park index e.g. the drained rapids or Krake with riders
  11. I always enjoyed 'He lives in you' from Lion King 2 until I recently saw the musical and realized it had come from there.
  12. I appreciate Screamscape for what it is and the effort that goes into it but at the end of the day most of that information comes from either official park releases or he hears the same rumors we do and just reposts them. 10 years ago when social media wasn't as big as it was then I usually found out about most new rides there but now I tend to find out official information on TPR first before Screamscape or other users have posted rumors here before the rumors hit there. Case in point, Lotte World and Everland both have very empty sections. I've posted updates on new rides constantly for the parks here over the years and 9 years ago I tried emailing him with some pictures or two (I remember emailing the Korean sign confirming Eagle's Fortress was permanently closed way back) and never heard back but when I posted here Robb and Elissa immediately engaged with it so I ended up not trying again and just sticking everything here. I remember when the Ferris Wheel became a SBNO VR ride and I posted it on TPR in a TR a few months before it showed up on Screamscape when Everland finally put it on the English site. My point is that most of the time, there isn't some super-secret official source they have and that most of their info comes from checking official park sites or the same sources other users use. I appreciate the site for what it is but I think people put too much into it being the 'end-all' of information.
  13. Took me a second to work out the typo. I've only been to CP once in my life when I visited some friends I made in Korea and since it was crazy packed from summer vacations (this was years ago before fast lane), we only got 1-2 rides on everything over the 2 days and yeah... even I ended up on stuck in a TTD break-down on each day.
  14. Like I said it felt like the end of a chapter to me, but not the end of the story but I think the reason so many people are viewing it as the end is that they've realized that they've followed every movie and every story and yet it could possibly out-live them and they won't see where it truly ends (just like comic books or soap operas) and so they are looking for a jumping-off point and using this to convince themselves they made it from start to finish. I kind of think, even though it's just meaningless labels, this is why Marvel is now claiming Spider-Man is the end of 'phase 3' of Marvel movies as sort of an epilogue to it all and not actually the start of whatever comes next to try and convince people the universe they love is still there. I'm personally in the camp of I'll see the characters I like with sequels or drop in on new movies I'm interested in. I think these last 2 Avengers movies have scared people into getting lost if they don't see all of them and that's why they will step out here.
  15. I completely agree with you. Again for the sake of non spoilers as Robb said there is time travel and it felt like the movie set up rules on the time travel but also, at least in my opinion subtly broke them and in a strange way I think it’s kind of clever. It means that deaths they want to stick will have weight to them but when they do want to change something they’ve given themselves enough wiggle room to do it without looking cheap.
  16. Going to avoid posting spoilers on infinity war deaths or otherwise there are a couple of moments in the story or the end where they make it clear this is just a chapter closing but the universe goes on for others and there is story left to tell. Would it be possible to have a separate spoiler thread could be made for a discussion with its international release already happening combined with the U.K. tomorrow and more on Friday?
  17. I enjoyed it. I think people who go in expecting tons of action may be disappointed, it's a mostly character driven film. There's a couple of character choices that seemed to be there for comedy that I could have done without, and there were points with time-travel I think you shouldn't dwell too hard on how it should/could have affected the plot of previous movies when people or objects are interacted with or moved and just enjoy the ride or you will get bogged down but for a 3 hour movie I never found myself fidgetting at all and it kept me focused. Also, you don't need to sit until the end of the credits on this one or potentially even mid-credits.
  18. I think there's no negativity because most people had already resigned themselves to 'more screens' the second an upgrade to the ride was announced.
  19. I don't quite understand why scalpers think people would pay $1000+ for opening night tickets of End Game. They know it comes out earlier internationally right? At that price, if you're that hardcore a fan, just fly over somewhere see the movie Wednesday and have a mini vacation for that money instead.
  20. ^Yea, I got that. I just remember seeing T2:3D and thought it fit the tone of the series as an extension whereas BTTF felt kind of a 'meh' extension of the story.
  21. Well I mean there was that time your avatar changed from the paratrooper so I didn't realize to stop to see your posts. I think this was in the dark time of 'Henry M' when I was scrolling past a lot for the sake of my sanity.
  22. ^Granted that's pocket change for Disney but I'm sure them donating money will really please the protestors that have been there asking for pay increases: https://www.comicsands.com/disneyland-protest-leaves-tons-of-litter-2633562338.html?fbclid=IwAR2nxvGS8B_01WFBFy3n7WZcvuR15R3yBZRpOEOAtHPKFu_k51PfKAcJTBE
  23. ^Honestly I'm a hardcore BTTF fan and even I kind of went 'meh' after I finished riding it. It's weird since it really feels out of place from the 3 film's story.
  24. ^Thanks for the information, I'm leaning towards it having never opened for the public or even tested. So I finally tracked down a blog: https://szsup.tistory.com/283?category=209349 It doesn't allow right clicking pictures to show here but I'm curious now if this was a failed knock off gyro-swing. If you click the drop down arrow to show the post, there are some clearer pictures shown at the bottom of the post from the ferris wheel and 1 at the top of the post. Apparently, it was called Super Hurricane. The pictures show it still 'under construction' 3 years after the TPR trip but I don't think any other models were built with elevators to the top or, sorry I don't know the technical term, beams either side in the middle of the legs. The other models are all just 4 legs. The top looks different but could that be because it was unfinished for over 3 years halfway through construction? I also managed to find out that when the park removed it and reopened the new park, they left the legs in so I don't think this got relocated. Those 4 legs attached to the green part of the building were left in and are still there now. Anything past the roof was removed.
  25. While on the subject of this park, they removed the dolphins from the pedalo boat attraction too for the health and safety of the animals.
