  1. I say go see a travel agent. I know liberty travel does some form of pricebeat deal so what you do is find a price online print it ourout or take a picture then ring or go see them and tell them you have found xx price and they are legally obliged to beat it by xx amount. Its a great way to make sure you don't get ripped off but get the service of someone else doing it all for you.
  2. Just brought my tickets for both days. Elissa is there any indication yet as to what the group rate at Knotts hotel will be. Or even what it has been in previous years. I've had a look and I can get it through work for just under 80 bucks a night so I was hoping the group rate would be comparable, also I'm travelling by myself would you pair me up with someone to bring the cost down? Edit: also does anyone know approximately how much a taxi would cost between the two parks if it came down to it?
  3. Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out here. I'm coming over from Australia for WCB and I am too young to hire a car, I have tried (and failed) using LA's public transport system before so I was hoping some one would be able to help me out by giving me a ride to/from parks. I am happy to help pay for petrol / fuel / gas / anything else you would like to call it, or if your hiring a car I will chip in money for that too. Also could you please give me the names of the hotels people tend to stay at so I can look into booking my accommodation. Thanks.
  4. Australia Movieworld Website: http://movieworld.myfun.com.au/MovieWorld/Attractions/Entertainment/FrightNights.aspx Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/MovieWorldFrightNights Was pretty tame - they reckon they've amped it up this year to be on par with USH-HHN and Knott's Scary Farm sort of level but its well off.
  5. I wish some of the scare actors at Movieworld took some of this advice - I went on Saturday to their Fright Night opening and everyone is saying get out and other lameties like that. It was like - wow that ok the first time I hear it but when every scare actor says the same thing so not cool. I'm considering taking printouts of this forum with me this Saturday and handing them out to all the staff, it would just make the night a little bit better.
  6. Every park visited on the China tour Dreamworld / WhiteWater World - Australia Movieworld / Seaworld / Wet'n'Wild - Australia Aussie World (self explanatory) those ones aren't such a big deal I visit weekly.
  7. Thanks for that, just letting you know that after re-downloading they seem to be working fine.
  8. Hi R & E & K I got some digital downloads today and the don't seem to play, I have tried quicktime, windows media player, divx and itunes. I even tried uninstalling and re-installing itunes thinking it may be due to running an older version. Has any-one else ever had any problems with this that you are aware of, and if so how would i fix it? Thanks.
  9. Hi Robb and Elissa or anyone else who would be able to answer me. I had my appendix out via keyhole surgery a week and 2 days ago and I was wondering if anyone new how long before I was allowed to do rides again. The ride I'm asking about and referring to is the new Disk'o opening at Dreamworld Australia next week. I have tickets to the media event next Friday night with a coaster site (which I won't name cause I know Robb doesn't want me advertising on his forums) and was hoping my body would have recovered enough by then. I was hoping some one else has been in the same boat and would be able to help out. At the moment I'm going by the theory that amusement rides are considered common carriers such are cars and airplanes, I am now allowed to drive again so does that mean I can do rides? Thanks. Amber p.s. I hope you enjoy Japan. egg hats ftw
  10. haha i so own a pair of those. I always wanted some and they were impossible to get in adult size in Australia so when i went over to America i go a pair. Though the wheels are a bit of an epic fail in my case. i usually just wear them wheel free now.
  11. Planking is where you lie face down in random places and get someone take a photo of you. It's really quite pointless but can make for some great stories.
  12. Yep your right it is pointless. That's what makes it so fun. (providing you plank safely) but hey i guess if I've beeen planking for 8hrs+ a day for the last 18 years there no point in stoping it now. In all honesty i don't see a problem with if it you plank safely and do it without breaking the law.
  13. Ok people here is the question. Where have you planked in a theme park and at what park? Post your photos here and if it's not safe or against park rules i don't want to know about it and i'm sure the mods don't want to have to delete your posts. this is at Dreamworld Australia. 5 hours later i still had red mark from the deceivingly pointy teeth.
  14. Thanks that's awesome to know. I don't particularly like being on my own though I'm almost certain by the looks of the TR's that not too much time is spent in rooms.
  15. I really want to go on at least one of your trips next year and I will be by my self, I was wondering if that meant I would have to pay the single supplement or would you be able to pair me up with someone else? thanks. and I'm sorry of this has already been posted but I did a search and couldn't see it.
  16. I have to admit the site works awesomely on my Samsung galaxy s (android) but before that I had a LG Prada II and I couldn't get it to work at all.
  17. that's really awesome. I did sky jump while I was in Vegas in September and the old videos weren't really that great so with these new videos its way better. I think when I go back again in a few years I might just have to jump again.
  18. providing they don't play gaga music all day it could be an alright park. but seriously lady gaga cheeses me off. but I admit I have alot of friends that would pay a million bucks for this to happen.
  19. so my dance studio went to LA and Vegas last September to dance in Disneyland, this was my first overseas theme park. morale of the story don't take a trip overseas with 80 people that about 75 of have no appreciation for theme parks... a complete list of my credits for the trip: California screamin mullholland madness space mountain Matterhorn bob-sled - 1 side big thunder mountain gadgets go coaster revenge of the mummy that all.... pathetic I know... but next time I can get more cause I'm going on my own not with the group. some of our gang in front of our plane. I loved Qantas, they feed you every two hours, literally. its a small worlds impression of Australia... I didn't know we had pink and purple koalas i see a credit. i see a credit. unfortunately we were there too early and nothing was open so I missed this one. I won these on the bus because of my uber Disney knowledge. once i got home they were stolen by a three year old creepy Spanish cartoon credit... check... in 2 countries now I spy with my little eye something that looks like a credit. I took this photo on the bus driving by after pestering the bus the bus driver i still couldn't convince him to stop for 5 mins so i could have a quick ride. now this was quite possibly my favourite part of the trip. another coaster that taunted me that i was again unable to ride. now this was cool.... i am a Criss Angel freak.. i got this after the show cause i have the worlds best connections... Las Vegas celebrity photo credit now back to photos of Disney... this is me onstage in DCA im not kidding you, Disney really did use this picture on the front of a magazine. cali screamin coaster.... i did actually get to ride this one... and i swear this is the worlds greatest ferris wheel no one else has this photo. i swear. blurry credit??? i didn't think it was that fast. we also got to dance in the Disney parade... it was awesome... we had so many people watching.. its definitely the biggest crowd i have performed to. and now I leave you with another photo of me being really awesome on stage.
  20. Hi TPR. I just wanted to say happy Easter. hope you've had a great day and KidTums enjoyed her yummy chocolate.
  21. i agree that the lethal weapon i ridiculously rough. but with saying that i have been on rougher at the gold coast. if anyone had been on the old thunderbolt ride at dreamworld (its been gone for probs 10 yrs) that was painful. same with the old corkscrew at seaworld. the cyclone at dreamworld is pretty rough now (luna park sydneys old big dipper ride) if anyone has been to seaworld (gold coast) recently the re-tracked the old corkscrew ride and re-named it sea-viper its an awsome smooth ride worth a go and so is the jet rescue coaster there too
