Day 4: Universal Studios VIP Experience Today we visited Universal Studio's I wasn't fussed on visiting again, but mums first time so we opted for the VIP experience and I can tell you now it was worth every dollar. We got there and they take you up to this beautiful room full of food and movie memorabilia. You are then guided around the park and taken onto the rides, and you go infront of the people with front of line passes. Then you jump on your special VIP tram and do the backlot tour. Not the usually 45 mins sitting on a tram, it was 3 hours and we got to get off and walk around the back-lot the prop warehouse the costume department and the set of parenthood. I will just pop a little mini overview in here but when I get a chance to really sort through the photos I will do a full TR just on this. I'm missing a few things towards the end as both the cameras died and I really need to edit the stuff I took on my mobile before it can be posted This is the room they bring you too when you arrive. Full of food and other goodness. As part of the tour you are provided with Poncho's so you don't get wet on Jurassic Park, kinda defeats the purpose of the ride but still cool This is our tour guide. His name is Larry. Say Hi Larry. First up in the rides is Simpsons!!! This simulator is amazing. after the rides and a few shows we had lunch this is the hot buffet and the cold Yummy Yummy! the wonderful head chef who's name escapes me on the steps of city hall Please let me join your ballet class. Pretty please. This is what the VIP Trams look like. Morphsuit in the costume department In the prop department you can find things like dead humans and dead tigers (this sucker was creepy) we were able to walk through the War of the Worlds set Psycho house! and we will finish with a photo of this patch of dirt where part of an episode of True Blood was filmed

Day 3: West Coast Bash Day 2: Knott's Berry Farm What a fabulous day. ERT, Backstage tours, Mrs Knotts Chicken Dinner and a park full of friendly staff and awesome people. We did all 3 tours (Silver Bullet, Monte and Roundhouse) Loved the buffet lunch, won a coaster wheel in TPR Quest (we all know a wheel is what I came for) then when to Mrs Knotts for dinner with our awesome new friends from San Diego. I should also add was our first time here and we will definitely be back! I wouldn't think roosters would hang around here, In fact I'm sure I ate at least 1 of them for dinner. So yup I'm pretty sure its about 6.30 right now. I'm not really a morning person so pretty impressive i'm awake right now First up was the Silver Bullet backstage tour! According to Robb we are zoo animals and require to be in a steel cage at all times. I'm the control room I found this. Very interesting stuff. I think they should commercially produce them and sell in the gift shop upon the return to the park entrance on our way back from the tour we were welcomed to Camp Snoopy I can't remember who's nails these are but they are amazing in all their coaster dorkyness Next I went to play tug of war with Monte but I wasn't strong enough so some fell TPR member had to come and help After failing to win Tug of War some of us went to climb over the world best jungle gym. The KBF trains and Penny in the train Can you say you've been in the drivers compartment of a KBF train??? I can Fire! i like fire! Fire make the train go Choo Choo! Something's missing???? Yay! I got my Timberline Twister credit with Elissa and KidTums!!!! and Robb took a photo to prove it. TPR Quest Winners! Mums first Intamin Accelerator, she was a little terrified now we say bye bye Knott's thank-you for a fabulous day

Day 2: West Coast Bash Day 1: Six Flags Magic Mountain. Will keep it nice and short here, this was both of our first trips to SFMM. I loved it.... Mum, not so much. It didn't click to us that "hey its called Magic Mountain, well maybe its built on a Mountain" I didn't mind the hilly exercise, infact I was just waaay to excited because I got Tatsu ERT!!!!!!! Yup. Thats where we are. I see a Tatsu!!!! and many other less important things Green Lantern, I quite enjoyed this, never would have thought a Zac Spin would be as forceful as it was Did anyone else see this sign and think ummmm WTF?!?!?!?!?!? on Scream!!!! my first floorless and 3rd B&M (1'st Batman and 2nd Riddlers both during ERT) Found us some familiar characters (we have Looney Tunes at Movie World) Can anyone explain the sour drops in the bathroom? this intrigues me Tatsu! Tatsu! Tatsu! This is what I came for ERT pity coaster! another count for me (just a painful one) to finish off the evening - X2 outside seat ERT, not as painful as its made out to be.

So, the story begins, I'm at work one day and decide, hmm Mum's birthday is coming up, I wonder what I should get her and then I realized, her birthday is in February and WCB is in February, and being Mum's dream has always been to go to Disneyland I decided her birthday present was a trip to LA the week of WCB (how convenient) So here's what we did. Day 1: Get horrendously lost in LA, took us 4 hours to get from LAX to Hollywood Blvd, for the usual tourist stuff. (I've done it before but of course being Mum's first trip she wanted to visit) we then headed down to Anaheim to check into our hotel, Anaheim Plaza Suites which was fabulous for the price. We then headed into Disneyland for the evening and it was amazing, we walked in right as the parade was starting that was amazing, we spent most of that night just exploring and I showed Mum around only doing the rides with little or no wait. Mum and our plane, we flew Virgin Australia (sooo much better than Qantas) and me and our plane Somewhere above the Pacific Ocean Hollywood! My favorite. <3 to Disney we go, mum was mega excited and as we walked in this is what we saw. Wow what a true Disney introduction. Waiting for Rodger Rabbit's CarToon Spin! was very excited to ride as it was closed when I visited in 2010. on our way out we had somehow stumbled into a who has the biggest feet competition, I think Goofy wins.

This is the advice they give on meeting up for a day. Hope this helps.

Can you message me your email address. I work for Flight Centre and can get you all the visa information you need, forms, requirements, etc. If you want to leave the airport in both directions you will need a multi entry visa.
-
aah good old China Southern I presume, notorious for there stopovers. Just wanted to let you know before you go planning or pre-purchasing anything you will require a Chinese Visa to leave the airport. Otherwise sounds like a good idea, sorry I couldn't be more helpful, just thought that was vital information to know.

Hi everyone. Jordan M and I went to the media launch this morning representing one of the local Aussie coaster groups. Between the two of us we should have some stuff up on here in the next few days. Movieworld has provided us with a POV and were were allowed to use our own GoPros to film ourselves on ride. (they attached it to the back of the first car and filmed us in the second row.)

Agreed! Mum and I are doing Disney on Friday Afternoon (she hasn't been to the states before so the morning is filled with LA sightseeing.) Both days of WCB! Monday we are going to USH doing the VIP Experience, and on the way back stopping at Santa Monica for my credit. Tuesday is Disneyland. Wednesday is Sea World. Thursday and Friday are Disney before our flight leaves Friday night. Were spending the week at Anaheim Plaza Suites (I wanted to spend a few nights at Knott's Hotel but mum would rather stay at the same place the whole time. Now mum is not the biggest ride enthusiast, well she doesn't mind the rides, she hates the lift hills and hates heights, so I would appreciate if everyone pressures her into going on every ride, my argument is this will probably be the only opportunity she ever gets and will regret not riding it later. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone over the two days, I shall see you all there!
