Awww, but I like being a guest appearance... Had a thought of being a guest appearance in Futurama as a robot that was built just before the first alien invasion, was burried by said invasion for some time, then found and activated and has some adventures with Fry n Friends. Oh well... /Edward

I know of something better, though might be dangerous. High five from the Helix! /Edward "Dude! Coaster G Forces Five" --Todd -
Hi! There's something I've been wondering about when it comes to Rollercoaster lift hills. What's the difference between having a chain lift hill, and friction wheels lift hill? Just wondering since I've seen that both Juniour and some big coasters have friction wheels lift hills (Olympia Looping, Thriller). /Edward

I've been to Denmark, USA and Canada. I've also been to Spain and England, but I don't remember being there. My mother said she took me there when I was small. /Edward

So, now on the random section of "Theme Parks, Roller Coasters" we will be having Monkeys as well? Just thinking of the change that was made to this category. It was Donkey, now changed to Bouncy Bouncy because of the mad ride you guys rode, and will it now become Monkey as well? Anywaym great updates. I'd probably ride the Baco if it weren't for that one invertion, or if the seats rotated freely. /Edward

This is a picture of me when I first went on Lisebergbanan. Dated 2005/09/24. Oh, and this thing would work better if people didn't change their avatar so often, or if they remember to come back and edit their posts. /Edward

V&PTR: Trip to Gröna Lund (Stockholm)
Edward replied to Edward's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The ride was smooth when I was there. -

Hi! Here's a small Photo Trip Report, and a 10 minute Video Report. My trip started on Tuesday the 26th of June, and ended the 27th. I had fun on Tuesday, but on Wednesday it was raining, then on Thursday it was sunny, but I had to catch the train home on that day. Ok, came into the park and found a carusel and some games. And I found a Ladybird coaster. Something tells me I was in the kiddie section of the park. But then I found to my left the bigger rides. So I passed through a games area (that was also a bridge) and found a horse... And a food place. I think I'm going in the right direction because the coasters are infront of me. Eventually I got there. Saw some interesting things, like a very small Ferris wheel. (No doubt credit whores would like to try and cramb themselves in that. ) There was also a stage there, but nothing was happening at the moment. Men, ORK! Only us Swedes will get this one. This was an interesting ride. There was something fermiliar about how it operated. Reminded me of a certain Juke Box. Don't know why, but I wanted a picture of this one. Oh and to all groups who might be going to Gröna Lund, it says on the sign: "Start Here" "Bellmansros Outdoor Café" "Bar - Music - Meeting Place" A nice little place to wait for the remaining memebers of a group. And that's all the pictures I took. Thought I'd have tomorrow as well, but aparently not. Anyway, vids can be found in many different places. Either go YouTubing here: Or download a DivX 6.6.1 AVI here: http://bleuf.org:37600/edshare/GronaLund-20070626/Gronan.avi Or the streaming attachment. /Edward Gronan.wmv Streaming vid at 320x240 30fps and 700kbps.

Rides you won't do again
Edward replied to spaceace12's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, forget my last Rollercoaster statement. Just went on Balder again. This time knew how to do it. I relaxed knowing there was enough room. Willing to go again, only... Maybe ONCE per trip (trips can be anything from weeks to months inbetween). Oh, and the queue has to be reasonable.... /Edward -

TPR's 2008 Trips - We need your help!
Edward replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have no idea if I'll be going abroad next year. Can't really plan that far ahead. The only thing I know I'll be in on is if you guys come back to Liseberg. I know you've already been here 13-15 of May and I missed that, but my eyes are now closely monitoring these forums for when you guys come back. Will you be dropping by in 2008 for more Balder Fun Stuff? Btw, haven't seen any Gröna Lund TPRs from you. Have you been there at all? Maybe you could squeeze that into your trips. No promises that I'll be there. /Edward -

Balder. Yes, believe it or not. I went on it ONCE (2006/09/07), and it wasn't much fun. Was fun in the sence of the rush, but I think I did something wrong. On every downhill where there were Negative Gs and there were supports above me, I cringed. And the only thing I had to hold on to was the little handle on the lap-bar restraints. Very painful. I've been told that someone 2 heads taller than me had no problems, but the head-chopping feeling I got every time the -Gs pulled me up is keeping me off that ride. If there was a handle infront of me (like on the back of the next seat), then maybe I'll give it another go. Another one would be the Tornado at Liseberg (flying saucer). I tried it, but never again because of the over-head restraints that caught my shoulders, and the churning sensation of my stommache. Felt very sick. Also, the Gs at the Wirlwind were horrific in my taste (those sudden spins). /Edward -
Well, here's the DVD ISO: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36511 But, as far as I can tell, everything else is in crap quality. Especially YouTube. /Edward

How did you end up here???
Edward replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hi! I know I voted Google, but it wasn't Google. It was another search engine called AllTheWeb. I was just looking for Roller Coaster POVs and I pumped into your site. After being a little frustraited with the "Members Only" section, I decided to login. And that's my story... /Edward -
I fear inversions... The only inversion I'll go on is a space ring... Or if I'm flying something. Do inversions count on a flying/laydown coaster? I mean, one doesn't really go upside down, does one? Oh, and drop towers. Leave me out of those. /Edward

Well, from what I can see, it seems to be different depending on... The places the burgers are made a little more than the people's preferences. Oh, and about the overweight thing, that is dependent on the type of person you are. One person can have fast metabulism (?) and will never get fat ever, another won't get fat because he has some job (or routin) where he does alot of excersice, and others just has a burger once in a while (weeks to months inbetween each burger). /Edward
