  1. Have you ever visited Showcase of Citrus in Clermont? Also a quirky, fun place to spend a couple of hours.
  2. Definitely bummed, but also definitely the right decision. We do the frequent fear pass for this event every year but I really couldn't see it working this year even if they scaled back attendance. You still have the scare actors in close proximity to the guests. My son and his friend have a haunt they started two years ago in central Pennsylvania. I'm not sure if they will be able to open this year or not. Hoping they are able to ride it out if they can't. As much as you are comfortable doing, please support your local businesses and parks etc. and be considerate of others health and wear a mask!! If you are not comfortable with a mask, stay home.
  3. Happy Birthday Chuck!! Mine is the following day, 17th. Great trip report as always...looking forward to the rest.
  4. It's so good to see Jaws alive and well in other parts of the world. Sigh....just wish it was still in Orlando. Great TR!!!
  5. It definitely looks like a neat experience! Unfortunately, the minute basketball skills I had left me, ohhhh some 25+ years ago. But hey, looks like I can possibly flourish virtually!! Or live vicariously through those, hmmm, mmmm, much younger folks enjoying the experience.
  6. What the FUCK is your problem??? Here's a review for you: I can't stand you. There. Now maybe everyone else on the site will hate you, too... That's probably one of the most enlightening, enjoyable reviews I have ever read!
  7. Nobody does theming like Disney! The attention to detail is incredible. Looks absolutely amazing! Glad you got to see it.
  8. Nice report Robb!! Can't wait to head over to Disney Springs and check out the new layout and additions. Always such a fun store to visit.
  9. I love the boardwalk amusement piers. Grew up going to Wildwood NJ, (yay I got to experience Hunts Pier in it's heyday). Have you ever had a chance to ride the Zoom Phlume in Wildwood? Nice layout and kinda long-ish. Nice report and great pics!
  10. Wow, amazing tour!!! Thank you so much for showing us some behind the scenes that most of us would never have the opportunity to see!
  11. OMG, can't wait to try this pizza our next visit to Disney Springs! So hard to find really good pizza in Bradenton/Sarasota.
  12. Sorry, happens to the best of us!! To quote Dirty Harry, "a man's got to know his limitations"!
  13. That Olaf moment was beyond cute....I'm sure you'll cherish it. Funny thing about rides and getting to "that age". I'll never forget taking my kids on one spinning ride after another at Knoebels, then finding myself in the bathroom blowing chunks. "What in the world happened?" The year before, I was fine, no problem at all...following year, and beyond, no can do! Awesome reports, really enjoying them!
  14. Fantastic report! Love the creativity and the thought that goes into the group costume! Looks like y'all had a blast!
  15. Awesome job, gang!! Looks like a great time! I love the Whac-a-Gilligan...do you get Skippers hat to hit him with?
  16. Mine was Lightnin' Loops at Six Flags Great Adventure. We had a school trip and the park was empty so my friend and I kept running back on and rode it 17 times. lightloops.bmp
  17. PPP is a blast and it is worth it! Hope you have a safe trip from Chicago. We're fortunate to only be a little over an hour and half from there. The weather is a crap shoot this time of year. We have had weather ranging from the mid 40's and rain to mid 70's and beautiful the whole weekend. Will you be camping? That's a whole nuther experience in itself. Alot of the campsites are decorated. They park will be open Saturday during the day for a separate ride pass, then later on, PPP opens up. Don't miss - Antique Cars - Pioneer Train - Halloween Costume Contest (some creative costumes) - Bonfire at the Campground (Dick Knoebel usually hangs out at this and there are free hot dogs and marshmallows) The park will be open Sunday too...usually starts shutting down around 5 - 6pm.
  18. The park is wheelchair accessible, however most of the park has small crushed stone covering the ground, which may be a little more tiring than going on a paved surface. As far as dogs, yes, dogs are welcome in the park and on some rides....no extra charge!! If your dog is fine around other dogs, there won't be any issues. I have seen some people bring dogs that did not interact with other dogs well at all. We take our dogs all the time. They have been on the Antique Cars, Pioneer Train, Old Smokey Train, the Motorboats, the Carousel (bench seat) and once we took them through the Haunted Mansion!!! That was more for our enjoyment! They kind of just took it all in. We'll be up for the Phall Phunfest next weekend. Keeps getting better every year!!
  19. Just got an email that the Freshwater Oasis is now opened at Discovery Cove. Looks pretty cool. Sounds like another trip for Adam!! Looking forward to my next visit to Discovery Cove....such a beautiful park.
  20. I generally feel the same way with the exception of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house several years ago. My absolute favorite!! Nothing like having Leatherface chase you through the bloody bedsheets hanging on the clothesline.
  21. I can see it now....people will be afraid to ride the awesome coasters like Skyrush & Wildcat, then Trailblazer will be the premier coaster at HP with an 1hr + wait. Nice and tame! We have become a soft, soft people.
  22. My wife and I were up for opening day on Saturday. It was a little cool but all in all nice weather. Wasn't as crowded as previous opening day's...my guess is because of the cool temps. I remember opening day last year, the line for wristbands stretched all the way back to the Pirate Ship. Got to ride Black Diamond, around 1/2 hour wait. Loved it!! My new favorite dark ride!! Twister re-tracking made it a "mite bit" smoother, but not too much. It was Dick Knoebels birthday and they were having a cake and celebration for him at the Phoenix Junction. I got to shake his hand and wish him happy birthday. Best of all, I got to see my grandson take his first rides in the kiddie area. It was awesome...he couldn't stop smiling on each ride!! Future coaster junkie for sure!!
