  1. It's cute that you think there is a way to quantify "maturity" on Reddit! Seriously, though. Thank you for the support. These people always seem to end up weeding themselves out and it's just one less potential headache we may have to deal with at an event like West Coast Bash. Oddly enough this guy also emailed me about wanting to represent TPR at a media construction tour event at Magic Mountain! Could you imagine if I had actually said "yes" to that??!?! So glad my gut feeling was correct not to choose him.
  2. You are very welcome! Reddit shitposting groups filled with assholes can have ALL of those people!!!
  3. And would you look at that... it only took a matter of what, an hour or so before Mr. Corn took to Reddit to blame "Blobb" for his actions. https://old.reddit.com/r/rollercoasterjerk/comments/8knhwm/dae_blobb_strikes_again/ Honestly, I'm so happy we are able to weed these people out of TPR. And thank you to the person who sent me this screen shot! This sort of made my day! lol --Robb "It always amuses me that people think I get offended by stuff like this..." Alvey
  4. This was not an “event.” You filled seats so they could get footage they needed. You got free admission to park and the opportunity to ride with no line. EXACTLY! This is how you do a media event or a film shoot: You show up, you sit in the train, you do what you are told, and you are respectful and thankful towards the park no matter what happens. THAT'S IT! There is no "review" of a media shoot. Ugh, it disgusts me that I am even having to write this.
  5. Wow. That amazing display of obnoxious entitlement just got you banned from our forums and any event TPR will ever do in Southern California. I honestly cannot believe someone would be so stupid as to post something like this after what I posted above. No, Mr. Corn, you are NOT entitled to an opinion when this was a free event that you were invited to take part in that allowed you multiple rides without having to wait in any line and you received special treatment. If you think you are "entitled" to an opinion about that, YOU ARE SO WRONG it's not even funny. And it's not funny. Seriously, it is EXACTLY this type of rude self-entitled mentality of why we stopped doing public tours. Why we now think twice about doing events like West Coast Bash. Why I hesitate to send people to events that I personally haven't met. It is people exactly like Mr. Corn who ruin these opportunities being available for others. So when we stop doing West Coast Bash, or stop extending invites to our members to special events, you can blame people like him, because this sort of behavior is at the root of the problem. And our solution is simply just to not do events like this at all anymore if people can't be respectful. I never thought we would be at the point where showing respect to a park would be too much to ask, but apparently it is. --Robb "People like this always end up weeding themselves out of TPR..and I'm sure I'll be blamed for it also." Alvey ps. And if you're going to have an obnoxious sense of self-entitlement Mr. Corn, at least learn how to SPELL THE WORD!!!
  6. So I have to say that I'm more than a little put off by seeing some of the recent posts that include... - Onride photos from HangTime. (Seriously, people, you KNOW this is not allowed!!!) - Complaining about a special invite to a film shoot. - Being rude to the park because some people have a lack of personal responsibility. - And understanding that some people were not on best behavior that morning. Let me just make one thing perfectly clear... If I ever... EVER see an onride photo again during a ride session where TPR members were specifically invited to, you will NEVER be attending a TPR event ever again, nor will you have an account on this forum. I also don't want to hear people complaining about an event getting cancelled at last minute. People.... THESE EVENTS ARE A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!!! If you didn't check your email to find out that the event was cancelled and you showed up anyway, THAT IS YOUR FAULT!!! Clearly if 47 other people got the email and knew not to show up that morning, the fault here lies on YOU! Every one of us has "smart" phones so don't be stupid, be SMART and use that technology that is in your hands!!! Making comments like, "I went to an event I was invited to and it was just okay" is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! That shows absoultely ZERO RESPECT for the people who extended that invite to us. I will not tolerate such behavior from TPR forum members. There will be no warning next time. You have NO IDEA how close I am to banning you for this comment. Seriously, you have no idea how much reading this infuriates me. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, NOT THE PARKS, TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR ANY UPDATES ON THE EVENT. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TRY TO BLAME THE PARK, OR BE PISSED AT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF FOR NOT DOUBLE CHECKING!!!! The fact that you implied that the park was at fault for having an early morning event which is why you didn't check your email is so insanely unacceptable that I cannot put into human words to actually describe how in the wrong you are for saying such a thing. --Robb "These are all perfect examples of why we stopped doing public TPR tours." 7. Yes, the same could be said if someone went with their Cedar Fair pass to Kings Island for opening, spent an hour or two at the park, and then drove up to Cedar Point to get in a couple of hours before closing. Proximity of parks in an area and multiple visits to those parks shouldn't take away a click at the turnstile. I can just as easily choose to NOT visit Epcot during a WDW trip as I could choose to visit both Magic Kingdom AND Epcot. If a park attracts a guest, no matter how long they stayed or how many parks they visited in a day, there is no reason why it shouldn't be counted.
  8. Yeah, sorry... No. Try again. And it has been unofficially reported to me to be VERY accurate by people I know who know but already allowed to say they know.
  9. No, it did not. If it would have had enough riders, it would have been the #1 Sckwarzkopf (Mindbender at 48, Olympia Looping at 58). I'm hoping we will get more ballots for next year as there were a few rides that it was a shame not to officially be able to include.
  10. First of all I would totally disagree with that. At the end of Ragnorok they pretty much lost in a very big way as their whole planet was destroyed. And secondly, I actually don't think the good guys lost at all because they've already made it clear that the battle isn't over. Honestly, I just thought the movie was kind of dumb. It had nothing to do with who won or lost or how thing were supposed to be, I just thought it wasn't a very good movie, and that's based on it's own merits.
  11. While I sort of agree with this, if that's the case then I actually think they should have just dropped the "Avengers" name from the film and just called it "Infinity War." My expectation going in was that I would see the Avengers characters that I'm more familiar with from the first two films and from the other Avengers stand-alone movies get the most screen time and everyone else would be cameos. But when characters who are not Avengers at all, like Dr. Strange, the Guardians or even the whole of the Wakanda universe getting just as much if not more screen time than the original Avengers, that's not the movie I expected to see. Seriously just call this film, or pair of films "Infinity War" and letting the Avengers have their own movie that focused on those main characters of that team, IMO would have been a much better service to the franchise, and they could have even gotten more movies out of the deal, too!

  13. THIS! THIS! THIS! THIS! THIS!!!!! And I'm not even a "comic book fan" in the least bit. I really do not understand those people who cried or got seriously upset by all the characters dying because THEY AREN'T ACTUALLY DEAD!!! I fully expect someone, whether it's Captain Marvel or whoever in the next film to basically just reverse EVERYTHING that happened in this one, because we have learned that that is possible. And even if those two characters do wind up actually being dead WHO CARES? There are just so many characters now in that universe that it's hard to be attached to any one of them and if one character dies they'll just introduce another character. I mean, look at Black Panther... nobody knew of him prior to a few months ago and now he's everyone's favorite character! If Gamora ends up dead, they'll just make another green girl character that everyone will fall in love with and immediately forget about the last one. What about Elphaba? She has powers, right? When I say I'm "casually invested" in those characters, I mean to the point that I like watching them on screen, but the entire revolving door of the characters in those films forces me to not get to hung up on any one of them because they could die, get re-booted or resurrected, only to die again and come back later.
  14. **Unpopular Opinion WARNING** So I finally saw Infinity War last night and it's easily my least favorite of any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies I've seen. In fact, my initial thought when the movie ended was "I feel the same way I did after the first time I watched Star Wars: Episode 1" in that the movie doesn't fit with the rest of the series or universe, and it sort of just made me like the franchise as a whole a little bit less than I did before. Hear me out... - I consider myself a "casual" Marvel fan. I've seen many, but not all the films (All the Iron Man, Avengers, Civil War, Ragnarok, Black Panther, and a couple more...) and I generally "like" all of them and feel at least somewhat invested enough that I was looking forward to seeing Infinity War, but not enough that I needed to see it opening weekend. - I just thought Infinity War didn't feel like an "Avengers" movie at all. I think back to the original 3 Iron Man films, the first two Avengers, and even films like Civil War, Ragnarok, and Black Panther, and this didn't feel like any of those. It was such a departure that I was totally turned off by the film. - In fact, to me it felt more like someone went... "Hey, why don't we make a Star Wars movie, but instead lets put all the Marvel characters in it!!!" It honestly felt more like a Star Wars film with it's multiple locations on different planets, alien creatures, space ships, jumping around to different storylines, etc, than it did any of the other really fun, witty, actually decently written MCU films I've seen. - Wikipedia describes the Marvel Avengers as "The Avengers are a fictional team of superheroes" and at no point did this film feel like there was any real "team" or any organization of characters at all. To me, it just felt like one huge mess. Not even the characters in the film had any idea who each other were, and at one point you had good guys accidentally fighting good guys because when the characters in the movie are so confused about who each other are and when the characters in the film can't keep track of each other, how is your audience supposed to? - I really did not feel like the Guardians of the Galaxy fit in at all in this film. Wait... come to think of it, was this a Guardians movie that the Avengers were crashing? Or was it the other way around? I'm not sure I could tell... or care. - This movie had some of the worst CGI I've seen out of any of the Marvel movies. Every time the dwarf, who wasn't supposed to be a dwarf but we all knew he is a dwarf, was on screen, he looked completely out of scale and sort of just oddly pasted into the scene. When everyone started to "fade away" at one point I actually laughed out loud because it looked so shitty. Seriously, Marvel, parts of that movie looked like a poorly animated video game cut scene. What an embarrassment. (And trust me I know, I've produced some poorly animated video game cut scenes in my time!) - I really do not understand all those people losing their shit over everyone dying. How is it not obvious to everyone else that none of those characters actually die. NONE OF THEM. I don't even believe that Loki or Gamora will really end up dead. We learn like 1/3 of the way through the film that Thanos's "gauntlet of dumb" can show whatever reality you want it to, it can turn back time, probably raise the dead, make a kick ass latte, really whatever you want it to do. So it's painfully obvious to me that all that stuff will just get reversed and fixed in Part 2. - I admit I'm not a "die-hard" invested fan of the MCU, but I feel I know at least enough about all the characters from the movies I've seen to follow along with their story. And that being said, I didn't even realize that was Captain America or Black Widow until about 3/4 of the way through the film! They had a completely new "look" and such small bit parts that it was a shame because you really wanted to see more of those characters, especially Black Widow. I felt like she was just "there" and didn't really do much the entire film compared to the other movies. And where was Hawkeye? Wasn't he an original Avenger? I know there was an explanation for that, but I didn't come to the movie to hear excuses, I came to see the Avengers on screen. Again, more reasons why this did not feel like an "Avengers" movie to me. - There were just so many odd beat points in the film... How Dr. Strange just sort of gives up his stone, Banner kind of being a complete bumbling fool throughout the entire movie, Thor spending so much time trying to get a new hammer after we were just told in the last movie he didn't need his hammer, oh, and my favorite one how they all talked about how Thanos could just "snap his finger" and half of the world would disappear, but you sort of thought they were talking figuratively on how powerful the gauntlet of dumb was, not literally. But then when he actually snaps his finger, I honestly LAUGHED! Like "OMG! He *actually did* snap his finger!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" - And who exactly are the "Avengers" now anyway? We were initially told that the members of that team (Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Thor) were all part of the "Avengers initiative" and you pretty much knew who everyone was, they worked together a team (albeit sort of dysfunctional at times... thanks Tony) and they were easy to keep track of. Clearly there is a separation of who is and who isn't part of the team because Tony says to Peter "Looks like you're an Avenger now" so are we to assume that everyone who wasn't in an Avengers movie before (which seemed like quite a few) are not actually "Avengers" and just crashing this movie? Is Dr. Strange an Avenger or not? He had so much screen time and was a prominent part of this film, but Tony didn't even know who the guy was! (And don't they both live in the same town?) So if it's not an "Avenger" why did he get such a big part in an Avengers movie and Black Widow or Hawkeye did not? Like I said, this movie just felt like a complete mess to me, and that's pretty much the reason why I felt that way. Overall, I just really couldn't take this movie seriously at all. (Not that I take comic book movies seriously to begin with, but you know what I mean) I couldn't help feeling that the entire film I was watching some other franchise's film that just sort of happened to have Marvel characters as a cross-over. Everything just felt out of place to me. Kind of like that horrible Transformers movie where all of a sudden they were Knights of the Roundtable and you're all "Why are the Transformers in this weird universe???" That's what this movie felt like to me. In a weird way, Thanos had it right. This movie was so overpopulated with characters stealing screen time away from characters you actually wanted to see more of, that his plan of getting rid of 50% of them is completely sound! Yes, please, kill off 50% of them so the next movie will feel more like an Avengers film and less like a mess of characters that don't belong in this movie! I really, REALLY hope that Part 2 is a whole lot better and fixes everything I didn't like about Part 1, because I really went into this movie expecting to like it a lot and this is probably the most disappointed I've been with a film since Episode 1. (Seriously!) It's shocking to me to see how well this film has done and how much people seem to be eating it up. I guess put me in the "I don't get it" camp, and I'm generally a fan of all the other Marvel films I've seen. Thanks for reading!

Going in a bit early to check out some other rides first... Before riding the new RMC coaster @SF_FiestaTexas lets go ride their previous one, Iron Rattler! This is what we are here to ride! Wonder Woman’s media event is TONIGHT! Time to check in for the Wonder Woman media event! There she is! [twitter] [/twitter] [twitter] [/twitter] [twitter] [/twitter] If you thought Wonder Woman looked great during the day, she is BEAUTIFUL at night!!! WOW!!!
  17. We rode the new Ray Rush water slide today at SeaWorld Aquatica Orlando! It's a very fun "family raft ride" with a few extra twists and turns! Check it out...
  18. Hopefully we will have an update soon. We were told the front seat POV for the coaster would be included with the media assets they gave us yesterday at the event... it wasn't... so now I'm waiting until we can get that to post our report. Hopefully it gets here soon as we'd love to share our experience with all of you!
  19. I will tell Kristen you said that about her dress that she loves!
  20. REGISTER for our forum to leave a comment! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day THREE of our Disney Magic Cruise! (Read part two HERE in case you missed it!) Today was packed with random Disney adventures! It was our first "port day" which was Cozumel, Mexico along with being "Pirate Night!" (YAY!) On top of all that fun we also got to dine in the new "Rapunzel's Royal Table" which was basically a dinner & a show featuring all the characters and songs from Tangled. We also spent a lot of time on the ship hanging out because, well, since we've been to Cozumel many times, for seasoned cruisers like us, that's a perfect time to take advantage of a mostly empty ship while everyone else is on shore! Great times were had! But let's SHOW you some of the fun... Before you ask, YES our day started out with Mickey Mouse Waffles... DUH! It was a "Disney Princess" kind of morning for us... These princess meet & greets happen on most mornings throughout the cruise... And while there is no additional charge to do this, you do have to book tickets in advance. Kristen is getting some posture tips from Rapunzel! Kristen had a great time meeting all of the princesses! Hello Rapunzel! We love Tiana! Princess & the Frog started the new "rebirth" of Disney animation and we thank you for that! We also got to do the Frozen meet & greet this morning! Kristen got to hang out with Anna & Elsa! (I was jealous!) I may have snuck in a picture with the Frozen princesses! (This isn't creepy right? Please just tell me this isn't creepy!) Today the Disney Magic is porting in Cozumel, Mexico! We have been to Cozumel quite a few times so we normally just do a lap of the port and take advantage of the empty ship! The ship looks awesome ported in Cozumel! Here's another look at it... Hello, Goofy! How's it going? We did a "courtesy lap" around the port. We've been here many times so there wasn't really anything we needed. Obviously those are officially licensed from Disney! Actually, this was the REAL REASON we got off the ship! We found this “New York Pizza” place in Cozumel! It has 1 Star on Yelp and the pizza looked like it was sitting out for a while so we didn’t take our chances! We'll stick with the amazing food on the ship! We did pick up a pizza box for Scott's Pizza Tour, though! Ports like Cozumel, if you’ve been before like we have, makes for a GREAT day to hang out on the ship! There were light crowds in the pools... Plenty of room on deck to relax! Short lines for the water slides and you can ride over and over again (which we did!) And you can have some GREAT interactions with the characters since there are not many people around! We had lunch at the Chicken Shawarma place on the pool deck and it is FANTASTIC! Did we mention you can get alcoholic Dole Whip pretty much any time you want at the pool deck? Yeah! Tonight is "Pirate Night" so we have some fun things to wear to get us in the spirit! Tonight's dinner is at the brand new Rapunzel's Royal Table! The theming and atmosphere in here is fantastic! We are greeted by the Tangled "Ruffians!" lol This is a brand new addition to the Disney Magic! The “show” has started in Rapunzel’s Royal Table and it’s completely adorable! It really is a "dinner and a show!" Don't they look adorable together? Rapunzel has come around to our table to say hello! Here is the menu for Rapunzel’s Royal Table! See anything you’d like? I'll just leave some of these food pics right here... The dessert in Rapunzel's frying pan stole the dinner part of the show, though! I love how the kids menu transforms into a lantern! And of course Flynn Rider came around to hang out with all the girls! Pirates night deck party is about to begin! It's a deck party featuring all things "pirates!" But first...there is a "Flash Mob!" (Yes, this is still a thing!) And look who volunteered to be in the flash mob! (Yes, that is Kristen!) Any deck party with lots of rodents is a huge win for us! Hello rodents! Uh, oh... Captain Hook is here to stir up some drama. He's like a troll who just came into the TPR forum and is up to no good. Yes, that is “Pirate Mickey” who ziplines from the top of the ships funnel to start the fireworks on Pirate night! It’s amazing! There is just something completely magical about fireworks at sea! It is my favorite entertainment offering of any cruise ship on any cruise lines! Absolutely LOVE it!!! This is just seriously awesome how it lights up the entire sky and the water around you! Of course Mickey is here to save the day! Jack Sparrow is out meeting & greeting everyone. The shop has had pirated themed items for sale all day today. I love that we got a pirate themed "towel animal" in our stateroom! Pirate Stitch even came to hang out with the kids in the Tween Club tonight! Hiya Pirate Minnie! Oh those silly rodents! We each ended pirate night with our rodents! Elissa & Kristen with Chip n’ Dale... and me with Mickey! Looking good, Mickey! Thanks for another wonderful day on the ship!!! Oh yes, be sure to POST YOUR COMMENTS!!! (we took the time to write the report, the least you could do is say something nice about it!)
