Six Flags Extreme Adventures[RCT2]

That's great! Looks really good. I do have a quick recommendation. Where the flume goes underground, use the land tool to change the sides of the wall to wood supports. It will make the tunnel look like a mine entrance instead of a metal tube. Squid -
Glad to see you didn't make it a working model. Your skills as a modeler are improving, grasshopper. If you do want to make a working model, I would suggest making a model of some kiddie coaster, like a Dragon. Something as complicated as a B&M Flyer I see as being incredibly difficult for a 1st working model. Start with something that you can learn the skills on and experiment, and then move up to more complicated things. Manta is looking sharp. Keep it up! Squid

The main reason that SFoG put in shows back when the park opened was that, during that time period, most people in the Southeast had not seen a "Broadway" style show. Most Broadway shows did not tour the US, so parks starting putting in shows to entertain guests and to buff up their list of attractions.

The covered bridge looks great. And you got the final turn on Renegade exactly how I was thinking... heck, if it's got enough speed going into those turns, you could probably bring it out over the entrance line and then back. Again, try and vary the height of your terrain... it will help a lot! Squid -

I've seen real water parks that are not as well done as this park. It honestly is an incredible work of art and science. You should be very proud. Squid -

First of all, you've got the talent, so relax. It looks great so far. Second... regarding that helix at the end of the Intamin woodie. Instead of that helix, run it out toward the end of the ride in an airtime hill. Turn it around above the final banked turn, then run another hill and then run it back to the final turn on the track you've already laid down. By my guess, you should have one row of unused spaces inside this track area. Put some tall trees in or other tall western scenery. That should fix the problem area nicely. Regarding the scenic train... have you considered running the train out over the lake, and then putting in a covered bridge halfway across? Put out some fountains out there as well. Also, don't forget to adjust your terrain! Give the terrain some variance in ground level... it does wonders for both the excitement of your rides and your park's visual appeal. Squid -

Disneyland's Space Mountain LIGHTS ON!!
Squid replied to DegoRed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My guess is that they had an evac with a train on the 2nd block breaks. Note that they didn't see any other trains in the video... shouldn't there have been one in front of them, or does Disneyland's SM not work that way? When they evac, the lights are left on... the people in the video were in a position that they would have difficulty evacing from, so they just went on the course with the lights on. Squid -

Considering the given date is December 21st, I'm sure you could go before the world doesn't end. Squid -
THE one thing the Six Flags Theme parks lack.

Au Contraire! Yes, SF cares. I can't see SF deliberately manipulating the times to generate Flash Pass sales. We only have so many that are given out any given day... much like how the Disney system only prints out so many tickets any given day. On busy days we sell out the system, so why do we need to generate sales by deception? Squid -
Welcome! Your post makes me wonder if we've met before... my home park is SFoG and I have attended every Dragon*Con. Anyway, welcome to TPR! Squid

I didn't... of course, I didn't vote. I do have a request from someone. Did you have any of the pictures of the tall security officer who escorted TPR around at Six Flags? He has red hair and is pretty thin. If you have any pics of him, would you mind posting them up in this thread? We were hoping to see him in the trip report! Squid

I believe the new version of the Qbots has that capability. But there's no central ride board. I know that at DHS/WDW the board is changed by hand, but Epcot's board is electronic. I can see a system where every ride checks into a central call center with ride wait times... but that also requires a reliable method to calculate those wait times. Without the electronic hardware to back it up, it's very labor intensive for very little return. Squid -
