  1. Wow, the whole tagging thing is really ridiculous, and on Revolution's honorable plate? If they even knew what that landmark status meant, and still means today in history. That just shows a total disrespect for the park. I hope that certain areas could recieve more security cameras, especially ones that hold specific "landmark status" qualities. I almost feel offended as a coaster lover and enthusiast just to hear that type of crap going on.
  2. ^It was your woodie that I liked! It's not often that I find a coaster with a layout I like, and yours definitely pleased my tastes.
  3. I know, I was kidding, I just wanted to bump this topic up so more people would read it. Yeah, there is actually a coaster I actually like. I'm too lazy to check who's it is again, but its about a page or two back. It's a woodie, pretty compact, and it looks pretty cool. I didn't download it but from the looks alone, it looks good.
  4. ^Yah I was gonna say, do they not see the joke in that? Anyhoo. Glad to see more minor improvements hopping along, although I too am concerned about the lack of progress on certain things. I really would like to know what is still planned for X2, and what has been "thrown out" of the idea box.
  5. Here's my rollercoaster named Imperator. It's a floorless twister. Layout Shot Download comes with tunnel and MCBR scenery only, no station or surrouding scenery. Imperator.TD6
  6. If they could get both sides to operate again PERIOD, that would be an upgrade right there. Then comes working on dispatching them closer together, and lastly figuring out a way to bring the speed back up. In fact, here's a music video somebody created dedicated towards thrill rides, and it even has footage of Superman dueling a few times in the video. (Specifically at 0:51 and also 2:18.) Also note the lack of Goliath in those shots.
  7. Ah, dueling Superman! Would love to see pictures of them together. Are they dispatching them closely together, or just at random intervals separately?
  8. No offense or anything, but I've noticed a lot of your questions that have been touched upon long ago and your statements are usually agreeing with others, often not giving much input or don't don't contribute much. Often, certain questions can be answered by looking back at other topics or post earlier in a thread. If you notice, this thread is huge and has been going on for years. I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to improve your posts. For example, an example of one of your good posts is giving positive or negative feedback from your visit at a park. That gets other engaged in what you have to say as well.
  9. I downloaded this before, and it is indeed an amazing park, however, it's not very peep friendly, as they often get lost due to the large and somewhat confusing layouts. They tend to head for the very exciting rides which, If I remember correctly, was Unlimited. Also by the way, it's entrance, not enterence. Sorry, but misspelled words are a pet peeve of mine
  10. Getting them all in one day is actually really easy, with plenty of time afterwards...actually it depends on what day you go etc. Although, I have gone on a Spring Break friday before and I got on every operating coaster. Head for the back of the park first with Deja, Riddler, Batman. They'll probably have no line at the beginning. Scream always has little to no line. Goliath will fill up, but nothing terrible. You can always get flashpasses and use one on Goliath. Revolution, if running 2 trains will have little to no line. Tatsu you could use a flashpass on. X2 wont be open, and Viper also depends on how many trains are being used. Ninja and Superman have become increasingly more popular, but also shouldn't have terribly long lines.
  11. Deja Vu being up and running really isn't a surprise. It's pretty reliable (or at least the most reliable compared to the other two Deja's. It just came out of its rehab. That would be the reason for any non-operational time recently.
  12. Seems like something very new and very innovative for a Universal park. Definitely seems that it will fit the "unique" atmosphere.
  13. ^The question is, are three trains necessary? From what I've seen, (I believe) they use one train in the morning and allow guests to build up before they add another train after a while speeding up the line process. Even on a busy summer day, Two train operation, Viper doesn't have more than a 10-15 minute wait. That's my experience, at least.
  14. I don't think I've ever seen the Gold Viper train. Only Red, Orange, and Yellow...or at least what I assumed to be Yellow. By the way, now that Psyclone is gone, are they going to take the "Psyclone" portion off the trains when and if they run it for frightfest?
  15. I almost rode both on the same day. My first ever visit to SFMM was on July 1st, 2006. I rode Psyclone in the morning and intended on going on Tatsu later, but the line was way too long. On my next visit (July 25th) I did Tatsu but not Psyclone. I'm not sure If I passed because I remember how bad my one ride was, or if it was closed. Either way, most of Tatsu's opening season Psyclone was running as well. Around Frightfest was when Psyclone began giving its last rides. Since Psyclone doesn't run during frightfest (trains used in reverse for Colossus) and it was on the chopping block, its operating time was close to zero. I do believe it ran some in November of 06 and possibly December. It was destroyed just months later.
  16. I just watched the video posted on Westcoaster and it showed a minor segment of the interview in X2's station where it was stated "they were not going for a smoother ride with the new trains, but rather a higher reliability"...I'm assuming ridership per hour too. But everybody was saying the old trains were a lot more comfortable just before they stopped operating. Who knows.
  17. Phew, so I'm not just crazy when I though the topic jumped 50+ pages in less than 2 hours. Anyways. Every point has basically been touched upon as far as lockers. I think the final result. It's a good thing. We may be so used to SFMM's old way of doing things, that the new and improved and beneficial new ideas for the park isn't our regular cup of tea. It's all for a better reputation in the long run. Maybe over time, prices and lengths may get better, but this is what has to happen now, and it's happening, so we better get used to it.
  18. What I don't like about keeping things such as cameras or cell phones in pockets is that they can still get damaged while riding certain rides.
  19. I've never personally used the lockers at any ride, but I'd say it's a necessary move. I am, however, one of those that often left a couple things to the side of rides, like perhaps a sweatshirt and camera or so. As much as I'd like the shelf thing to work (and it could) right now they're doing what they need to, and it's probably a good thing. Besides, don't they have those main lockers/random lockers that you can store your stuff for a longer period of time. I believe they're around X, Viper and Revolution. Unless they were taken out, they're still there.
  20. About the new trains looking "jerky" in the transitions or w/e...I was thinking maybe it could be because they're still new and unused yet and haven't been through 5 years of stress.
  21. Of course. That's why they've started testing already, and the coaster itself isn't supposed to be open for another 3 months.
  22. Good to have that cleared out of the way then, otherwise I would've been very jealous. (I too had wondered whether you'd all get a preview since everything was flowing so quickly)
  23. ^I'll be in SoCal next weekend too. One of my options was SFMM, but I opted for Knott's instead. Eh, it may or may not be. It probably will be crowded. Many states are starting spring break break these next few weeks. When I went last year, the morning and early afternoon were the busiest, but towards the late afternoon to evening, X was near walk on. Now I know X won't be open, but most coasters shouldn't have terribly long lines later in the day. Then again, last year's spring break when I went, it was incredibly hot for March, in my opinion. Depends on the whether too, I guess.
