  1. ^Hmm well he sure wasn't afraid to answer everyone's questions for the next two years... I'm not used to such solid speculation, if that makes sense, but if it's true, then the next few years seem interesting... ...although I still don't see flats anywhere in the mix there.
  2. Just wanted to point out a minor spelling error. It's Mountain, not Mountion.
  3. ^Those jokes are no more fun. Kind of old, no offense. We'll find out when the time is right. Otherwise, sit tight kids!
  4. I went to Magic Mountain last Wednesday, the 16th. I originally wrote a long review about it, but my login session timed out and it wasn't saved, so I'll just mention the day somewhat briefly. There were a LOT of cars in the parking lot. We got there around 1:45 and we had to park by Scream!'s corkscrews. I only noticed one overflowing garbage can in the parking lot. Didn't really pay attention in the actual park. Tackled Tatsu sometime around 6:30. Surprisingly, we didn't wait long. Only about 5 minutes in the queue and another 10 in the station. Was running two trains with two stations, so not bad. Could be faster, but getting better. X2 was amazing. It was probably an hour wait, but didn't feel like it. It was the last coaster we tackled. Everybody really enjoyed the "Scarred-esque" show and footage being played in the queue TV. It's smart that they have staffers holding guests back from simply entering the station. It totally eliminated the clutter. I'm not sure if the lady assigned us seats or not, but I just walked to the front, because I didn't hear her say anything specific. Waited for a train or two then, and was on. Amazing ride, amazing experience, both audio and fire were working, and it was definitely smoother. This was definitely a positive change! Viper was also noticeably smoother. The G's I felt going into and coming out of the 2nd and 3rd loops was crazy! It was definitely a ride like no other before! Revolution had no line, and was running both of it's "new" trains. I unfortunately didn't get to ride the new "patriotic" train, but still got to try the refurbed/new regular train. It was definitely much smoother. Probably the most comfortable ride I've ever had on it. I just keep my head in frnt of the OTSR's and it's no problem! Deja had an hour wait, but we stuck through it. That also didn't feel like an hour wait. It was hot, but the misters helped. Gave another fun and disorienting ride. Jet Stream was stacking a bit, but nothing too crazy. Didn't get us wet much either, but whatever. Scream had almost no line either. A train wait, at most. We waited two trains for the front. Great ride as well. Two trains without stacking most of the time. Only the bottom of the first drop had some noticable shaking, but the ride experience itself was amazing. Nothing compared to the miserable one I had last summer. Goliath also had almost no wait, with 2 trains running and no stacking. Only the station had some line. Pretty good ride, always enjoyable. Goldrusher had no line either. We took the back of the train...mistake! Whiplash!!! I'm sticking with the front from now on. Didn't get on Batman, Riddler, Ninja, Superman, Colossus, or Canyon Blaster. Even with 2.5 hours of sleep, I'd say I still had fun. The atmosphere seemed pretty friendly, and the park itself is beginning to look a lot nicer, just get some flats...seriously! And the cell phone charging stations. Get the LG one working again. My phone died, and I noticed every charging station had one of the LG cords ripped/frayed. It's probably out of the park's control, but I'd much rather see a wider variety of cell phone chargers, rather than mp3, I mean seriously, why would you bring an mp3 player to a park? Just my opinon. So that was just a "brief" runthrough, in no particular order, of rides that day.
  5. ^Maybe. It really could be anything. All I know is that it will be revealed...eventually! Btw, happy belated b-day JZ
  6. Alright so I'm hitting Magic Mountain on Wednesday the 16th. It'll be my first visit since last summer, which means first time on X2 (hopefully). First off, I'm going with a group of friends, and a parent. We're leaving Phoenix around 5 AM hoping to get to our hotel around 12 noon, and to the park by 1 latest. We plan on staying the whole day (or at least the rest of the operating day). With that being said, I expect the longest wait to be at Tatsu and X2. Tatsu can be handled easily, whether it be with Flashpass, or just waiting (I know it has shorter lines than X2). Now, when would the best time be to tackle X2? I'd guess the end of the night. It WILL be a Wednesday, but I don't remember how crowded or not it is during summer weekdays. Also, if you have any additional tips or things I should check out, please tell me! It's been a year, and I'm dying to see a lot of the changes.
  7. Back to X2 being the only thing advertised and Thomas Town being underadvertised... My guess is that the parks main aim (right now) is to continue raising attendance levels. The park has had a reputation, over the past several years, of being the "Xtreme" park. X2 being advertised is bound to bring more people into the park than Thomas Town would. Sure Magic Mountain just opened a kids area, and maybe they will advertise it sometime soon, but will the GP care if they just opened a kids area with two rides? They could easily just say, "why bother" and head over to Disneyland or Legoland to get that satisfaction. Magic Mountain, although working towards a "family-friendly" environment, is still labeled, talked about, and known as "the park with a lot of rollercoasters." Fortunately, it seems the major positive changes around the park ARE starting to get out to people. Also, I know next year's coaster is allegedly a family coaster, but a low height restriction doesn't necessarily mean many younger rides will go on it. I know people who too often get intimidated by a rides height, speed, or even sound. As excited as I am that the park is getting another coaster, I'm not sure it'll make a difference as far as "family-friendly" goes.
  8. ^Thank you very much ^^Well when I started this park, I never had an intention of making it "themed" and all. I more-so just wanted to place various rides around and make is seem "homey" and all. I don't know. I've gotten pretty far into this park to make drastic changes. Perhaps my next park will be themed then. Before I deleted RCT2, I had a pretty good themed park going. Nice to know that's lost forever.
  9. ^It's very complicated removing just any small items. You're at risk of corrupting one of your parks. If you delete an item you're using in one of your current parks, it wont be able to open. Be sure you know what you're deleting though.
  10. ^So you mean the theme (or lack of) that's random?
  11. Saem thing happened to me a few months ago. My only solution was deleting RCT2 and then reinstalling it. I do believe it's the huge amount of the "small" objects that fill up quickly, hence the reason you see some people attempting to place the "small" scenery items in the "larger" category, if that makes sense. Your best bet is deleting the game, and reinstalling it. But choose wisely when downloading other's parks. Just because it looks nice doesn't mean we have to DL every nice looking park. You learn that the hard way and then have to lose a LOT of scenery. If you already have saved parks that you like and would like to have again once you delete the game, upload your park online and downoad it later. Remember to check the "export plugin objects" button in the options. This will export your custom scenery along with your park.
  12. The park is rapidly growing, so I'll probably have it complete in a few weeks. Depends how much time I spend on it. The coaster I'm currently working on is an Impulse coaster, but that won't be the next coaster I release, or open. I'm trying to keep the coaster premiers based on a timeline. (B&M coasters premiered at least a decade before any Intamin Impulse coaster did.) The next coaster will most likely be a Bolliger and Mabillard creation, possibly, followed by the Impulse. If not, perhaps a wild mouse, and then the Impulse. That's just coasters, however.
  13. Last time Riddler was stuck on the lift hill all day, it stayed there for a few days. I'm hoping it's not the same thing again...but then again what would it be...
  14. Just wanted to post a few photos I didn't poste earlier, as well as something I changed. Also, be on the lookout for a new coaster and flat rides coming soon! SCR49.BMP Also, Flamethrower has recieved a more sandy and textured lot, compared to the overgrown grassy area it used to be on. SCR47.BMP Devil's Drop had some of it's scenery altered because of clearance issues. (In reality I changed it because for some odd reason, at the start of each cycle, the car would only spin but not rise, and the ride would be over after 4 seconds. I ended up trashing the tower and getting a new one.) SCR46.BMP The second half. I actually added some more trees and "grass walls" in the area to make it seem nicer and all after this photo was taken. SCR45.BMP I promised some layout shots, so here is the front half of Detonator.
  15. As far as Colossus goes, it could be a number of things. The most likely idea would be getting them both to race forwards. Unless they got different trains to run backwards, I doubt they'd run the Psyclone trains all year because of the impact they'd have on the structure. Perhaps it would continue being a holiday tradition to run it backwards. Besides, look at the Cedar Fair pattern. No more reverse racing. Is Six Flags headed in the same direction or?
  16. Thank you! I forgot to post screenshots of Detonator's actual layout so I'll post some of those today.
  17. ^I find trying to both X2 and Tatsu one after another in the morning impossible. At least not without waiting quite a bit of time. Viper's line is also a lot longer in the morning. I'd try X2 first, and then hope Tatsu is running to a good capacity and catch it later. If anything, you can use Flashpass on Tatsu. If Viper is running two or three trains in the afternoon, then you should have no problem getting on fairly soon.
  18. A few more rides and changes have appeared at Dream World. A new water ride, a thrilling drop tower, and more food and restroom upgrades. I'll once again let the photos do the talking. SCR44.BMP In other news, Hammerhead has extended its queue. Stupid RCT2 made it so only 12 people can ride at once...anways, that concludes todays update, and check back soon for more! SCR43.BMP Ah! It's the new arrow suspended coaster Detonator. It uses suspended cars to increase the ride experience and improve capacity. Looks at that line! Over 200 people! It has a pretty swift, and quick layout, but regardless of it's lenght, it packs quite a punch...or should I say "blast"... SCR40.BMP Devil's Drop, and Intamin 3rd generation freefall tower has opened! It's footchopper base is one of the greatest effects on the ride. The firey theme adds to the ride as well! What's that in the corner we see? SCR39.BMP A couple food joints have been placed in the area as well. Various buildings and architecture are showing up as well, all in the hopes of beautifying the park more. SCR38.BMP Splashdown. Some days very popular, and some days little to no wait times.
  19. I'm pretty sure he meant no custom working Screamin' Swings. Same thing with Sky Swatters. Random thought: I wish they would have made a larger capacity Top Spin...all rides really. How many "Ranger" and "Topspin" rides do you know that hold 12 and 8 people?
  20. ^Hmm I don't know. I always thought the fireworks brought more "magic" to the "mountain" aha, ahaha. ok.
  21. After seeing that udpate, I've never watned to visit Magic Mountain more...and the update showed nothing but a child's play area! That's definitely saying something. Also, from the video, it seems you can get some amazing views of Goliath.
  22. I saw the first post and wondered who the hell was complaining...then realized it was posted 3 years ago. The cheapest, I believe, is about three ninety something in Arizona, if you're lucky. Its weird to see how much traffic has decreased around the area. Very overwhelming prices.
  23. Thanks! I don't have work the next few days so I'll try to get some more stuff done. I have no clue what I'm going to build next. I guess whatever seems to fit or whatever inspires me.
  24. It's time for a bit of an update. I've been playing the park every now and then adding things, adjusting things, etc. I'll let the photos do the talking, I suppose. SCR32.BMP Even on Galactica's rainy debut day, the queue quickly filled full of excited guests. This concludes today's update, and be sure to check back soon for more updates! SCR30.BMP The final flat ride to open this season as well was the Huss Topspin named Galactica. It has vibrant festival colors and resembles an updated version of a traveling topspin. SCR24.BMP A large restaurant and bathroom were added to the area as well. Proper food services were missing from the park. The park has been doing its best to increase in restaurant activity and decrease the simple "food stands." This will continue on in the coming seasons. SCR22.BMP A new flat ride called Mystic Orbiter opened. Clearly, it's very popular, like most of the other flats. It sports a "mystic" turquoise and purple theme. SCR27.BMP Not too long ago, Lumberjack wasn't a huge hit with the crowds. Luckily, with the rapid boost in attendance, it has easily and quickly become a guest favorite. The queue is expected to be extended in the near future. SCR29.BMP Another view. The coaster usually sports a full queue line, leaving it to be yet another popular ride in the park. SCR28.BMP First up is the popular Togo manufactured "Flamethrower" stand-up coaster.
