here's a banner which (i've read) is hanging in the park.

ok, here we go (after popular demand) Day 5 of this trip: Bush Gardens Williamsburg. A long day fun with a lot of ride time (including ERT) and one very very awesome backstage tour. I had been to the park during a previous trip which made this a nice relaxing day. Really had a lot of fun and got to see plenty of new things this time around. Anyway, i took way too many pictures this day and i have tried to make a selection of everything.. Hope you enjoy it and remember... comments are welcome early morning.. i think i see something familiar in the distance.. yup.. that looks like a fun way to start the day theming morning folks Illuminights something is different here.. sigh yup.. still pretty Festhaus. so close to home yet still so far away.. getting ready for... the "loading zone" pretty ride, got a nice tour in this area ride vehicle underneath small preview, while walking part of the track the magic box spooky looking back more spooky unloading area they even let us in to the computerroom.. hmmm seen from the park goodmorning sunshine getting that magic shot little gliders little balloons boat ride, nice way to cool down a little a different angle.. as seen from behind the scenes.. Fire = good and the job.. keeping an eye on the guests and the fire.. but wait.. the tour ain't over yet different angle watch out for those bricks inside the maintenance area nerd on our way to the next stop.. Pub europe in the air, fun ride control room makes sence owh look... there's a movie to watch trying to give you an idea of the setup.. it's haunted pretty building next stop of the tour the train just passed along but this was what we were looking for lifthill shot (sorry no train this time) who wants to hug some supports?? going down.. sounds like a plan just some things which we could touch.. do i need to add words to this? used things time for some picture fun.. hmmm more hmmm almost feels like you could touch it if you wanted to.. guess what.. tour is still not over.. maybe one day.. i'll be back in the snow again... (although i should not be making such a face) yeah.. lifthill with train.. watch your head best used if after... pretty train, thanks for the awesome tour.. let's check out the rest of the park one of my favorite parts of the park.. one of the reasons i like it.. I guess this looks like a big Beer tent? long story short... not old enough sesame street waterride ok, that looks like enough people to me in this area.. water and log makes a logflume fun fun fun ok, time for one of my favorite things to do at a park.. looking at people.. yummie it looks so big that's a lot of water familiar faces going down.. or up? Dine with Elmo and Friends.. and the birthday surprise train owh wait.. the sun has set, pretty lights time this kids area had closed by now.. castle and another angle more festhaus fun, lots and lots of fun.. i'll leave it at that.. Fireworks time owh pretty that's all folks.. hope you enjoyed it/

Darn it, i was hoping i would be able to experience this place during next years Japan trip.. It looked like so much fun

Thanks for the reply Guy, i think i remember seeing that movie.. and i think i remember another one as well... for some reason i expected a big water area in front of it (and not the river next to it) movies... Anyway, anybody else interested in a City Museum update?

That was one amazing dvd and it made me feel even more sad that i could not make this trip.. At least there's still the dvd to get an idea of what happened. And Piers.. awesome

^ not sure about the audio system and the box.. i think i did see some onride camera's.. but my brain might not be sharp enough anymore since it's been a while.. anyway.. time for another update. Day 5 started with a fun stop/visit to the St. Louis Gateway Arch. I love the fact that we got the opportunity to see something "cultural" next to all the coasters and parks while doing this trip. Coming from abroad this is one of the somewhat famous things and places to see (i guess) A lot of people on the group took the "elevator" system up the arch to check out the view etc. having read some reports (and seen some pictures of the capsules) i decided not to (stupid me) I think i missed out.. but it was nice to relax a little and not have to worry about crowds.. being claustrophobic and some other stuff.. After this it was time for one of the most amazing things i've ever seen in the US.. City Museum. Maybe more on that later. But first some pictures from the stop at the Arch.. hmm, i think i've seen that structure in some sort of movie before.. this tower reminded me of another movie.. don't ask me why.. ok, that's where we're heading.. yeah.. it is pretty darn big a quick look back at a part of the city trying to be artsy.. (fail) riverboats.. riverboats looks like construction work was being done at that building.. (City Hall?) back inside (where there was AC) nice wall so that's how they did it glad that i got to see this exhibition back outside.. i had to take a look at the tiny windows at the top.. and yes.. a little cleaning would not harm.. if you know where to look.. you might be able to spot those windows.. just to give you an idea.. pretty sure most folks that have been here have a similar picture if only for that car... almost perfect.. a well.. next stop City Museum

Just wanted to add the following image from the park regarding next years ride/addition. There's also some gossip at a dutch board at the moment that it might be the ride from Skyline park since that one has been up for sale for some time... Time will tell announcement in the park

Next time she will be busy texting, walk through a red light and get hit by a car.. come on.. pay attention to where you're going.. sigh

Time for another highlight (for me) on this trip. Day 4: Silver Dollar City. This place was simply stunning, some awesome coasters a very nice looking park and friendly people. There's also a possibility for a cave tour (which i missed/did not do (another reason to go back)) which is a lot of fun(i've heard). Another fine weather day (aka hot) but so much fun. Don't forget Fire in the Hole while you're there. Such a fun ride. There was also a nice treat for some Powder Keg walkback pictures.. Which (by the way) was one amazing ride. Had a blast and i have a feeling that next time i'll be riding it a lot more Hope you like the walkback pictures. Feel free to comment or just tell me to to shut up and post the pictures ok, this should make some folks feel very welcome just in case you wonder where we are today party time somewhere behind this facade is a ride.. Powder keg time for some credit whoring.. check spin spin spinning something is (apparently) missing in this image.. green owh. another coaster swing baby swing they look so tiny that's more like it guess i should have done some cropping.. a well nice area of the park splash battle.. i was al ready to get on it later that day.. but it never happened time to fill up stuck under the waterfall at the splash battle.. any park that has fire.. is cool ok, time to head backstage launch with a tiny bit of fire.. between the trees launch... go go goo good looking structure funky turns here they come as seen from the other side optical illusion lovely sky trying to find another angle hmmm that's more like it plug those ears.. it's launch time pretty darn close heading away another banked turn lifthill they look so tiny i think this is one of my personal favorite coaster pictures. nice weird effect close up time love the hair ehm.. no comment happy people for all ages train on top of the lifthill coming down the drop after the launch hello ladies lots and lots of people smiling ehm.. A ?? attempt at a side profile thingy more fire this ride was such an amazing surprise christmas?? cake eating contest.. and once again.. i can imagine folks metioning body cavities and other "dirty" things.. The one on the left could be used to make a hole in something so the fluids would be able to run again.. the one on the right looks like a storage (spinning) tool.. but yeah.. my mind works a bit different at this time.. so i'll shut up

But wait, there's more stuff that can be done while being in the area. There's Zorbing. At this moment i steel feel a bit bummed i did not do any of the zorbing and just took pictures of others having fun. The wet looked like so much fun.. maybe next time.. maybe.. ok, here's a bunch of images from that part of the day. This should conclude the Pigeon Forge update, another amazing day during this trip. ok, here we go.. it's time for some zorbing fun.. if only i would be able to take a picture like this.. hmmm this does look like fun man boobs.. small overview of the setup so basically ther are 3 different kinds of zorbing.. dry (as you can see in this image) once you're done they might ask you to do a silly jump for pictures option number 2 is wet (single) which looks like a lot of fun.. how's it going in there? just the getting out is not always as elegant... jump high others are waiting on top of the hill for their turn dry zorb harness image.. plenty of straps.. option 3.. wet (with friends) there are 2 people in there... numero uno and the second individual.. nice air side by side wet.. doesn't look nearly as much fun as the previous wet (with friends) run.. yeah.. you do get soaked looking at the others.. different line/track for the different options.. ehm.. that's some interesting air overview of the hill don't worry Robb, i'm not taking a picture of you.. i've seen some weird jumping.. but this... and yes.. she was "grinding" him.. those hands are there for a..... ehhmmm just a random person.. did the wet with his clothes on.. why?? doing the dry run.. you can go a bit sideways as well... which gives a very nice dizzy effect when getting out and back on solid ground.. more wet fun.. it's a boy... ok, that's a different way of getting out.. trying to flip and flip and flip in the wet.. remember.. feet first more fun with friends glad to be back? yeah owh boy, can i please go again?? that's it folks. More Pigeon Forge fun, Let's check out some Nascar Speedpark pictures and Jurrassic boat ride... ok, time for a quick credit stop who parked that car there? happy riders looks like somebody is not that happy to ride.. wait?? they made you do 5 laps?? wicked no bumping.. next train with happy riders so that's where we are.. still so happy ehm.. so many things come to mind... yeah.. kind of sad and pathetic i guess how's it going Terry? ehm.. something does not look right in this image.., time to move on.. Boat ride time it is Jurassic it looks like there is some theming.. looks like some folks are terrified before riding.. hope you have a fun boat ride

Let's see.. it's time for day 3 Basically this was a full day of Pigeon Forge Fun. Started the day at Ober Gatlinburg and then got to do some zorbing, a quick credit run and Jurassic Boat Ride. I'll start this update with Gatlinburg and depending on time.. i might add some more. Ober Gatlinburg, during the winter time you should be able to do some skiing there, during the summer they have some other things to do including an alpine slide. I loved going up the mountain and enjoying the mountain views. It basically made me miss the winter visits to Austria and the skiing i used to do there. I was kind of surprised to see the state the supports ,for the lift, were in.. i guess Austria keeps it a bit cleaner.. Anyway, enough rambling, picture time on the road again, i loved this drive down the mountains. hmm, that is how it works.. cool tramway sign going up i'm kind of weird/sad i guess.. but i really enjoyed this view almost half way looks like we are almost there wicked, ice skating area at the station it's possible to go higher just imagine some snow here.. and the fun that will come.. hmm one day i'll be skiing in the US action ehm.. TP trying to look tough.. but ehm.. that's not his bag.. here's what happens if he gets a hold of your camera.. waterslide fun the slide has opened it's time for some happy people going up lovely couple ok, here are some people flying down what's up Divv How's it going Steve? and that's how the slides go back up again.. strike a pose just seconds before he crashed (just kiddin) it's ok to smile.. looks like Kristen is not too impressed.. going sideways waterslide fun (i think) time to head back down love the mountains nice place to have a home
