The swinging blades are actually made from solid metal and the original motors installed were unable to take the stresses put on them it seems. Furthermore, Lionsgate have a contract with Thorpe Park that specifies that if 25% of the ride's effects are down, the ride must be closed until they are fixed.

I'm so sad right now. Am just down the road at the University of Kent, Canterbury and have never got to ride this historical attraction. Extremely suspicious, especially when you consider that we had heavy snow yesterday, with snow cover remaining on the ground today.

Wow, they got it open quick. I visited the park on Friday and they were still installing scenery, and putting the subs on the track - very impressed. Should be a nice addition to the park - at least if the weather improves
