Las vegas and california help
winningfreak replied to edh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
With that said, I think Knott's or Disneyland would be a better option because there are alot of neat stores around the area. There is a movie theature up the road from knott's if they where interested while you visit the park. -
Long defunct parks...what is left of them?
winningfreak replied to cathyJ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have always wanted to go to a defunct park with a coaster still standing and set up and get a few friends to push a car up the chain lift and ride it. Way to dangerous though -
Your Park "To Do List"
winningfreak replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Six Flags Fiesta Texas - Install A Mist system (was there in april and it was HOT!) - Redo Flashpass system ($60 for a $250 device that goes in and out of service depending on where you are in the park!) - Keep food stands more clean (there where flys everywhere get a fly killer) - Clean eating areas better. Other comments. This was an awesome park even though it was small for a Six Flags Knott's: - Reopen big Foot Rapids (the lines on log ride and Parilous plunge are rediculous on hot days!) -Dont charge for water (I was charged 25 cents for a cup of water. They said they needed to pay for the styraphome cup) - Figgure out some way to make GhostRider and boomerange smooth (if its at all possable!) - Run all 3 towers on Surpreme scream when busy. (Mothers day was running 2) - finsh refurbising the brown car on ghost rider and fix the silver one! (its been really rough for the last year or so.) - Have the peanuts gang walk around Camp Snoopy more, evey time I walk through I dont remember seeing anyone but snoopy and thats maybe once or twice a month. Other Comments. Overall Its running great. If The Pony Express opens smoothly it shouldfit right in. Hope that Big Footrapides reopens by the end of the month. -
Well then! It would be awesome if your friend could organize a campout for Pony Express. Even better, since your friend had access to the park at all times, how about, like, a Pony Express sleepover under the track? We could ride it all night, making it the best event EVER! Aww, that is soooooo awesome you have a friend so well connected. Unless I ride it the 21st I cant calm to be the first offical rider lol.. anyhow I work there also I can get in anytime I hope there is an employee testing day like with Serria Sidewinder

^ The second one that is being built is a family launch coaster... Now the way I see it that would have been the only option for the new management and because antoher park so close will already have one for the people in so-cal to enjoy why would they build one? the idea is to bring as many people into the park as possable and building rides that are already avalable within a few hours drive (knott's is only about an hour away) is not going to bring in maximum traffic.

Six Flags Magic Mountain X2 Campout!
winningfreak replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have the Xtreme playpass and I have visited the park 3 times this year. It is a good deal if you visit Magic Mountain alot if not then it isnt. the playpass extra stuff (flashpasses exc... ) are not valid at other six flags parks (I tryed at SFFT) P.s. If you go to another park the people stair at your pass because they have never seen it. someone at SFFT thought I was rich and asked me for money lol. -
well I got off work and had to walk through the park to get to the parking lot. Normaily there is almost no one around besides the occasional employee doing somthing or other. Today there where a bunch of workers at the Pony Express so I stopped by to see what was happening. Then I heared "Test-1 Clear" and the train launched but did not make the first turn I also noticed they are repainted the hand rail by Ghostrider and the outside part of the line. In the Chicken Dinner Restraunt they just finshed repainting the main (Used for sunday brunch or when the restraunt gets really busy) On another note It looks like there is going to be a live BMX kind of show this summer. I took a picture of the sign but my camra was acting up The sign advertising the BMX inline skating show this summer. This is about as far as it got. Its running! to my surprise! another view looking at the new station.

Well, I happen to be in the area this weekend and I leave for LA tomarrow so I took a drive around the city to see some of the disruction. We drove by SFNO (I got some pictures off I-10) but 2 of the local small naighborhoods in the area where ruined and only a few houses where being rebuilt. There where still a few cars over turned some houses completely missing. Also I have heared nothing about this other company buying the park or rebuilding it. Exit looked as dead as can be. My brother sitting next to me had a better camra but its film. When I get the photos ill scan them and upload them if they are any good Hope you all enjoyed! Another shot of the Zeph. The Vekoma and drop tower. The drop tower looks good from what I can see im sure most of the damage is done toward the lower parts of the rides. Mega Zeph... Still seems like it can be refurbished from what I got to see. -
I forgot to point out next to the Flashpass line there is a single ridder line. this could help people that want to avoid the line and meet up at the end. To get to it just go up the fastpass line and tell the guy standing there that you wana ride single rider. Also for a coaster that went through a huricane and sat outside for a few years rusting away it was amazingly smooth! There was a few parts that where kinda rough but for the most part it looked brand new and was very smooth.

Well, finaly got to visit San Antoino and headed over to Fiesta Texas. The Park was mildly busy and Goliath was running 2 trains and superman 3. Me and my friend decided to buy flashpasses for $50 all day. This was a good deal as we would have not beenable to re-ride anything without them lines where about an hour long. Tony hawk and Go-Karts The Poltergeist Goliath at night, Camra was messing up for some reason The first loop Heading up the chain lift! Goliath in station, Front row was reserved for flashpassers and employees where telling people what row to ride in. Another shot of Goliath! Goliath!
