Dear Lord riding Intimidator nonstop at night at East Coast Bash was awesome. After six rides in a row I couldn't breathe.

I'm so glad someone posted that headchopper photo again. I looked at it for five minutes thinking "No, it's just an allusion, people will fit." Glad to know it doesn't just LOOK a little tight.

This is the craziest damn think I've ever seen. Seeing these pictures reminds me of driving by an under-construction Islands of Adventure and seeing the Hulk partially constructed. I remember thinking how insane the maneuvers looked back then and haven't had the same feeling again until now.

If it works at well in Texas, I can definitely see Magic Mountain doing it for Colossus since it's such a recognized and loved (in a nostalgia sense) ride. I'd love to see it on Mean Streak along with some reprofiling. I like Mean Streak's location but it's pretty boring for its size.

I'm not sure any of these things will actually ever happen (I hope they do), but it's nice to hear that they'll be refurbishing Twisted Twins. Maybe they are the park that is getting a Mauer coaster that the representative hints at in Robb's video, but I'm not even sure they could contract for a coaster since they haven't gotten their money yet.

Only Carowinds and Kings Dominion, but both got awesome rides and Kings Dominion was for East Coast Bash so I still call it an epic season.

Those Mauer wheels are cool! I have GOT to actually ride some coasters from Mauer & Gerstlauer. I also had been running under the assumption that the Ferrari World dueling coaster was Premier.

That was a pretty hilarious S&S smackdown at the Intamin booth if I'm not mistaken.

Awesome update, guys. Those S&S trains are hot! I hope they come to America sometime soon as I doubt I'll get to ride the Happy Valley launch coaster in the near future. I also never noticed how gorgeous the Manta trains were until seeing a car at that angle. If you feel the need to "borrow" that Gerstlauer Euro Fighter model and send it to me, I'll definitely Paypal you the S&H. It would look great on my bookshelf.

Everything looks really good from the pictures I've seen, and that review wasn't really very negative. The only thing that looks bad to me, and they may actually spruce this up, are the coaster stations. The platforms themselves just aren't very impressive, but this certainly isn't a big deal. As a car and Ferrari fan I feel like I'd be in heaven if I ever get to go there, though a friend had a good point when he said I could probably go to Italy and rent a Ferrari for less cash.

Interesting. A MF-type turn would be cool but my vote is to extend the lake and have a giant full-immersion splashdown right out of the drop.

Man, FR doesn't waste anytime launching...and that is one of my favorite sounds ever. Anyone know who that was on the ride from Intamin?

Nice pictures. That probably won't be operating at any point in the future. It's funny to see modern track remniscent of the current B&M style sitting rusty like that. To my knowledge no B&M has been scrapped, and Flashback is the only other (?) Intamin with that style track to get the ax. I have to wonder if that coaster's travels effected its life at all, irrespective of Astroworld going out of business. I guess the German fair circuit coasters are doing OK.

Wow, that looks great. If that's a "family coaster" then it's going to be the most awesome family coaster ever! Even though I liked the name Cheetaka more, it's not like the people who plan these things sat around and decided they wanted to pick a crappy name. Obviously someone liked it. These lapbar only trains should be interesting as well. And it'll feel out of control hugging the ground like that.

Had a chance to visit Scarowinds last night with some friends. We were only there from 8 p.m. until closing and didn't actually do any haunted events, but it was fun nonetheless. The park was ungodly crowded, but, from what I saw, all the decorations looked nice. The fog machines were on full blast, and the entire park was awash in it. It was really cool walking through the section near Thunder Road with all the fog; it reminded me of some evil movie carnival. In the time we were there we only managed five rides: 1. Afterburn (x2) 2. Intimidator 3. Thunder Road 4. Nighthawk A few notes: - Intimidator was an awesome "marquee attraction" for the park. Everybody comes back to the station grinning ear to ear. Back on opening weekend it was basically a walk on. This time the line spilled into the midway. The trims were on more on the camelbacks but less on the midcourse than in April. If you're bigger, the seats are tighter than other B&M hypers, or maybe Carowinds just makes the bar go down an extra click? I saw them turning a lot of people away, but they were catching them at the test seat and not onboard, which is at least helpful. - HUGE PROPS to Carowinds for their amazing ride crews last night. Lines were out of control but they were pushing people through like crazy because they had many people loading and dispatching. The crew at Afterburn would say, "this train is leaving in fifteen seconds," etc. Hardly any staking, and, when there was, it was not the crew's fault. This is what I like to see and a certain nearby-ish park could learn from these guys. The Intimidator crew was also great again, pumping the three trains through like crazy. - Thunder Road was dueling but one side had one train and the other had two (I felt bad for the unwitting people waiting in that line). The work they've done on the ride shows. I thought so in April, but last night's dark ride was fast, incredibly smooth and airtime packed. Excellent job and much appreciated Carowinds. - Nighthawk's line sucks so much and I finally figured out why (and it wasn't a bad crew, they actually were loading quite well last night). Unlike Afterburn or even Intimidator, the line is so wide that people can pack in side to side, so it seems like it never moves. - Everything seems faster at night. Nighthawk and Afterburn especially seemed ready to jump the rails. - I had to change "Top Gun" to "Afterburn" throughout this text when I proofread it. But, more importantly, what an damn fine coaster. Talk about great engineering, the thing is a work horse and runs like-new 10 years into its life. - With the two Intimidators, I'd say I had a pretty nice season for my two home parks. Carowinds is finally a true destination, and Kings Dominion is getting even better. Say what you will about Cedar Fair, but Paramount didn't build the coasters they got this year. - The former season passholder only (I think) gate was open! Awesome!

What planet are you from? Great Adventure is seriously laking in the flats department (at least in comparison to coasters) and many of us are still hoping that we get a few new flats next year along with the GL coaster. Well it did have a lot of flats, so I doubt Six Flags will try that again.

After seeing the video of TPR on Furius Baco, I think I'd rather it not have Wing Walker trains. This ride is looking seriously great. I like the idea of the multiple launches & it hugging the ground in certain spots. May have to make it back down to BGT this season.

Man, that's so cool. Good luck! If there's one thing I'd pass along from Hard Rock park's failure it's that people wanted water rides, and that park didn't have them. And maybe a Mega-lite?

I'd say it probably would have but a certain sector of the population probably didn't vote for it after its adjustments.

Seems like Six Flags is really skimping on the animations and concept art this year. Regardless, this will be a really good addition to Great Adventure's already stacked lineup, and should look great as you walk up to the park. As far Six Flags parks go, I'd say Great Adventure is the park with the most comic-book theming right, since they have Batman, Bizarro, Superman, Green Lantern? Now I'd just like to see a Joker's Revenge drop tower...

From what I understand Chang never had a third train, which is why I'm thinking something happened to one of the two it used at KK.

So Riddler, like Mantis, will no longer use more than two trains? I assume Chang will continue to only have two. Did something happen to one of them?
